today is sunday...
and i have to keep reminding myself because joel's at work and it feels like a weekday. i was going to have tonight off, but i ended up picking up a shift for a girl who's sick and sounds like she could use the rest. i could use a little extra money anyways what with christmas coming up next month.
i'm bummed out today though, because i left my purse (with my wallet, keys, and cell phone) in the car and joel drove in to work. he won't be off tonight until hours after i leave for work, and we don't have a house phone. by some amazing stroke of luck, i took my spare key out of my wallet yesterday so i'm not stuck indoors all day. i need to take the puppy out for a walk today, if the rain ever lets up. wish me luck, i think i'll need it today.

Girls night .2
The second in what we hope to be a long series of girls night. This one ended at 4 in the morning when we all realized that we were supposed to work in the morning. somehow we managed to forget.
We began by taking Chase home, he needed a ride and we were feeling nice even though none of us like him. Then we went for taco bell and wendys (which is where we parked to change from work clothes into "hot" clothes). After that we bowled (really well and then horribly), played dance dance (at the same bowling alley), got hit on by trashy bremerton guys, bought candy for the man working at the alley, and complained about how those silver city guys we met last week were nowhere to be found. We also took cute pictures on my phone. Afterwards we went the Sharis and had potato-foods and hot chocolate. Kayla began naming people at work and Nicole and I shared all the dirt we knew about everyone. Kayla is kind of shy and doesn't talk with everyone as much as Nicole or I do. Nothings more fun than work drama at 2 in the morning. And the OG has tooooons of drama.
We intend to go dancing (or go see male strippers in seattle/do a combination of both- Nicole and Kayla's idea) next weekend as girl's night. However, since one of us is only 19, we need to know where to go. Anyone know 18+ clubs in the area?

I'm tired!
...and a little bitter that my yoga/pilates class is a walking class for this week only. I'm not happy about walking over the bridge and back in the rain, so if you happen to drive by and see me- please offer me a ride.
I feel like I did not accomplish much of anything today with the exeception of buying stuff i needed (and some that i didn't) and... well, no. that's really all i did. walking class lead to the realization that walking downhill works leg muscles that are not quite as hardly worked as some of my other ones.
school is school, and work is work. i like my classes, even though the guy that sits next to me in the morning bites his nails all through class. it's better than some of my other options for company in the class though, so i'll stay put. or hit him. and by hit him, i mean kindly ask him to knock it off. work is alright. we had an awesome temp manager and some nice newer girls. i also made my little pony and snoopy nametags for some of the girls, and fishes for other girls. I feel crafty.
I am thrilled that i have tomorrow and the next day off. but i may try to pick up a wednesday shift and give up the thursday shift, so i may only have one more day of free time. i better get my homework done and such.

I'm feeling rather lazy
...and sick. This cold is driving me crazy. I felt so bad last night that I just hated seating people. I was afraid I'd cough or sneeze all over them. I also feel kinda bad for Olga (and Matt) because someone came in at 9:45 and she had to stay til they left (and they wanted to sit in his booth). I need to find someone who wants to go out to eat with me there so I can take advantage of my discount.
I just feel so lazy right now. I'm very much slacking on the whole homework thing in all of my classes. Not to the point where it'll hurt my grade, but I feel as though I'm approaching that point. I think alot of it has to do with my cold though, things should pick up in a few days.

sleep, I need sleep...and other such ramblings
I am desperate for sleep. I haven't had more than 4 hours a night all week, and now I'm getting a cold or something. If only I would stop procrastinating on the whole homework thing, then I wouldn't have to rush to do it latenight. On the plus side, I just got an A on my Business Law test this morning without any real studying. well, I did read through my notes before the test for 5 minutes and the teacher did a little review thingy.
Also, I had to work last night...so I'm going to say a few things about my valentines day. Someone got proposed to in the cafe area (it was so cute). There was a ton of unneccessary confusion. I can't spell. I was very frustrated at multiple points in the night. People actually waited an hour and a half for a table, and were still cheerful when they got one. I made a really stupid mistake, but it wasn't a big one. I got off at 9:45 or so, shortly before closing. Joel picked me up, took me to my house to change, and then back to his house. He cooked me dinner (delicious steaks). The end.

I hate the showbox...(a rant)
and the crowd from the reel big fish show. The show was good, even though the first band wasn't great, but the crowd and the security were really something else. I actually had girls grabbing me to move me out of there way and elbowing me in the back of the head because I wasn't going to move for them. It was annoying, but it was worse when they started talking about how "venues shouldn't even let 12 year olds into shows" in reference to me and the other short girl next to me. If they thought we were 12 then they really shouldn't have been treating us that way. What is wrong with teenaged show-goers these days?
I feel bad saying this, but all ages shows are generally terrible. Given a choice between all-ages and 21+ I would opt for the 21+ ninety percent of the time. It's nice to have all ages shows, and I can't imagine what I would have done without them, but someone needs to teach those kids how to act.
about my hate for the showbox, it was really just annoyance at the security and the barriers they had set up. I hope that it was just because some of the bands thought they were so important they needed barriers and not because it's going to be a regular showbox thing. We already have more than enough crappy venues with security guards who think they're being paid to be assholes (although at times they do need to be).

1/03/2006
Winter quarter started today, I'm taking 5 classes again (2 are online and one is Tai Chi). We were told we couldn't wear rings so that we don't cut and scar people when we punch them in the face (punching people in the face??). That's not what I thought I'd be doing, but I'm not going to back out because I already have a sparring partner.
Joel's supposed to call the priest at church sometime this week and set up an appointment for us. We've been looking at dates so we have an idea of when we're doing the whole wedding thing and so far we're thinking it'll either be during the first two weeks of August or the first two weeks in October. August would be easier for me with school and all and for all of my relatives to come up during summer.
Other than that I have not been up to tons of anything besides trying to figure out the whole transfer paperwork mess and trying to decide which school I should transfer to. I'm also going to the Reel Big Fish show this saturday at the showbox. If anyone wants to tag along, let me know.

Nothing beats a random blog...
...except for one with a point. I only have one more final and I'm done for the quarter and I'm going to deck the hall ball- IN ABOUT A WEEK!! not that it really counts as a point, I just wanted to share. I have a ton of BIG plans for this month and I am EXCITED.

READ ME!
did the subject line work? I hope so, because I just got an email from the showbox that made me smile big time and I wanted to spread the news a little bit. On Wednesday, September 21st- Death Cab for Cutie and Harvey Danger will be playing a Hurricane Katrina Relief show. It's 21+ and tickets go on sale this Saturday (the 9th) for 30bucks.

Capitol Hill Block Party- Saturday
So this is how my saturday went: I woke up around 7, didn't sleep well because of a monstourus bruise on my shoulder (I always sleep on the side or my back) that I got on thursday. *Someone* gave me the impression that we needed tickets in advance for this event, and since they were not selling online or the phone- and seattle is a long ways to go if they were sold out, joel and i headed to gig harbor to buy tickets before leaving.
got back to bremerton, and had a little bit of running around to do. ended up taking the 3 o'clock ferry, which was later than we would have liked to leave. walked a few blocks up to catch a bus (number 10). We walked around for a while until Stef, Mimo, Christian (Stef's brother), and his friend William/"Silly Willy" got there. Uhh...then we went to the mainstage and watched two whole perfomances: the blue scholars who were pretty good for hip-hop but not my thing, and then PUSA, who was the reason I went. We danced and sang along, got whacked a few too many times on my bruise and moved to a less dense part of the crowd. Uhhh...danced some more, they played all my favorite songs.
When the show was over, I tripped over a pole thing that was across the gound, it was kind of like a support thing i think, and about 8 inches up. it put a pretty nasty hole in my shin and scrapped up the rest of that leg pretty bad- but i didn't fall down so that was a plus. Went to a cafe (I think it was called hurricane) with some guys stef knows (Who are huge president's fans). Saw some naked people on a porch motel, heard the word wang used excessivly and in many different ways (wangier, wanglauge). took the 12:50 ferry home, went to bed around three. (That last part really counts as sunday adventure, but whatever...)
