Some new stuff
Current mood: satisfied
OK so I have my digistortion device fully functional now. Here are some pictures:

The sounds are heard on Digistortion demo song on my page. This was recorded straight from the digi to the computer. No effects, just a bit of mixing and panning of the original 3 tracks. Enjoy. Let me know what you think.

Cassette Looping
Current mood: bitchy
Cassette looping is fun. My old 4 track is a good cassette looper because: a. I can turn the record function on and off with a footswitch and let the tape keep rolling. b. It's very warbly and lo-fi. 3. I can speed up and slow down the tape speed and hence the pitch of recordings. d. I use the 4 track's mixer to do some crazy feedback looping through my pedal board and record snippets of madness to the tape loop. e. It drones on and on without being told to.
My 4 track is a bad monkey because: 1. There is a .25 second chunk of silence on each loop. 2. input #2 is finicky.

Circular flow signal; Unbounded response
Current mood: chipper
I recently discoverred feedback looping, where you return the output of your pedalboard back into the input. You need some sort of a mixer with an effects send or aux send to complete the loop and monitor the sound it creates. Actually, with no effects in the loop at all it still creates strange tones as you turn the knobs on the mixer's channel. It's cool. Hours upon hours of drony, whistly, randomy, chattery nonsense. It's audio fractals, like when you point a video camera at a screen that is showing its output. It's a loop. So ya.
