Dear Tennessee friends (and for that matter: Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Washington, Louisana, Rhode Island, Delaware, Georgia, etc. etc): I'd like to introduce you to some of my new friends!
For those of you who don't know: I am now living in Massachusetts and attending Hallmark Institute of Photography. It's a crazy whirlwind of business, cameras, and class. I love it!
This is a totally different lifestyle than the relaxed, rock n roll life I was living in Tennessee. Cheers to living the life no matter the style!

We went to New York to the Southern Comfort music fest, it was a good time. JUSTICE played! (er, DJ-ed) and Matt and Kim were there also. They would not let me bring my camera in, but here are some snaps from the parking area.

Alright, Kristen took some photos of me today that are seriously probably the best photos of me ever. Being that I am the funniest human/robot in the world, this next photo is an accurate depiction of my status as such.

My best friend from HS in Germany made me promise that after I graduated college I would come visit. So I did.
She picked me up in San Fran and then we went from there all over the place. It was awesome. White water rafting, a bar with a random dude we had gone to high school with, good movies, bumper cars, buffet lines (ha!), etc.

These photos were originally thought to be lost, but I found them misplaced in a wrong folder opn my old harddrive. Jaime and I, when we lived together. It is weird to edit photos taken with a 20D now that I use the 5D. 30.

NEWPORT, RHODE ISLAND!!! I am invading your shores this week and I am stoked!
Life is decent and good and Sherlock Holmes and I have been hanging out a ton. School starts September 3rd and I am out of my mind ready for it.
The main thing I miss about the South is the river and the food. And I don't really even miss it at all yet. It's weird because I keep expecting to be overwhelmed with nostalgia....but I haven't been yet. I like it. I was more ready for the move than I thought. I just want to start my bloody school already.

Change of Address.

I have departed from Cleveland, TN's abandoned buildings, loft apartments, and rolling green hillside in exchange for Massachusetts (I'll let you know what that has to offer upon my arrival).
For a few days I am residing at my parents house and had the opportunity to go through a box of old photo Cd's (film)...here are some photos from there.

And let me tell you, there is no feeling like that of washing your car on a sunny day.

MOORLAND. is a band that I had the pleasure of hosting for a few nights. They helped me narrow down and catch a baby kitten that was in my ceiling. They were a blast. I dig them.

55. There was a show in Nashville at the Anchor this week. I don't listen to hardcore anymore. It gives me head aches. I'm just not a fan anymore. The show was Once Nothing, Alcina, Life in Your Way, Cody Bonnette, and the Glorious Unseen. I loved it all! It was so fun to watch kids dance to hardcore music. 66. saving the best for last....i love this photo.

The night of this show a wind tunnel was placed inside my chest and I became hyper-aware of God pursuing me through other people. Wind tunnel. Still there. Example of aforementioned pursuits: i walked down the street and was sitting on some steps under trees, in the shadows. praying aloud. maybe a little crying. a scraggly man is stumbling in my direction. i think he surely won't be able to see me since i'm out of reach from all light sources. this man is clutching a baby rose (or something like a rose). this man finds me and gives it to me. this is literally in the middle of talking to Jesus about romance and pursuits and lure and seeing him in all things. after recieving the gift, i laughed and said "let the pursuit continue!!" (in the same voice Tobias uses from AD when saying "let the great experiment begin!").

This photo requires some explaining: Cody and I play this game where we take turns hiding this thrift store bra in each other's rooms/gas tanks, etc. This game is way better than yahtzee and is a source of endless amusement. You never know where it's going to turn up!!
I stopped on the way to the river to get gas last week, popped open my gas tank, and there was the bra-folded up inside.

My room-mate Julian and I took a trip to a tattoo shop called Estrella in Franklin, NC and he got his second sleeve outlined. The shop is awesome and the artists are great! They drew on his arm in Sharpee before going at it.

This next set was taken with my new Olympus ( by new, I mean OLD ). I had been taking photos with it for a while and the film wasn't loaded properly! Dang it! That's a pretty frustrating thing to me. These were taken after a day at the river.

48. This photo is my new personal favourite. In German, I would describe it as being gemutlich. cozy. home. snug. settled.

49. This guy, who I have dubbed "Pretty" came through our ceiling into our apartment this morning, roughly around 2am.
We have been hearing a cat meowing above our celing for a few days now (cat no. 2) and we have been searching for it but to no avail.
I left a ceiling tile out, thinking that it would find its way down, and it did! Based on the volume of its meow, I expected another grown up cat. Nope. Baby cat. Kitten. If you want it, pleeeeease let me know. I don't know what to do and I am abou to go out of town.

Summer is swallowing me whole, sr.
