It's like going to a new doctor - the first experience is always nerve wrecking even though you have been to the doctor since you were born. First meeting at my new lab. Did not have data that was conclusive of anything ... just a lot of tried this - did not work ... tried that - did not work! and well - everyone was awesome. YAY! - Done with the first awkward lab meeting!

7:38 PM - The Roo Experience

Wow! I went to bonnaroo in manchester TN. It was an awesome experience. For those of you who think that it is a hippie fest - boy are you wrong. They had all kinds of music. Hard rock, rock, folk, techno (yes several DJs spun) and a lot of new orleans artists doing their thing to raise money for NO. Music all day into late night and chillin otherwise. There were 4 large stages, 1 mega stage and 3-4 small stages. It was just surreal to be out there camping for four days. A Definite THUMBS UP

ok - i have officially marred my new computer already - i was teaching today and managed to get dry erase marker on my palm which immediately tainted my new white computer as soon as i got home - yes i am hopping mad (friends reference if you care)

I just purchased a new laptop, printer and ipod thingy - it was awesome - i am sure once they get here i will have buye's remorse but who cares until then - YEAH!

yes - this blog is dedicated to my bro who seems to think I sit in front of the comp and obsess over myspace. I think of obsessing over myspace - I really do but alas ... I am too lazy or busy reading science fiction or watching science fiction - nothing productive mind you - that would be against my nature. how could I live with myself if I took time away from myspace and did something important with my life - unheard of - unfathomable. NEVER! So sorry I have not been blogging - this is to you bro.

Bockfest was saturday - a week age from tomorrow and I think I have finally recovered from it - It was not only a waste of my day but of my entire week apparently - and I think I got sick because of it - well - mainly because  I trekked from brocach to the Maxx the night before bockfest - in case anybody needs a reminder - that night was filled with snow everywhere - watever

instead of drowning my sorrows in some booze over the lack of a fun thing to do for valentines, i am responding to students' questions for the upcoming exam on thursday. Somhow their misery is greater than mine (because there are hundreds of student in this class) and that overcomes mine. I hope they do well ...

1- I still write snail mail ...
2- When I wear glasses I totally forget people can still see my eyes and I tend to stare at things or people.
3- I make stupid jokes or totally ignore it when people compliment me - mainly because I think they are out of their minds, full of shit or ... well ... nm.
4- I get craving for red meat the way people have craving for chocolate or something
5- I still get goosebumpbs thinking about the genetic code for translation.
6- I pray in the muslim manner sometimes, though I don't consider myself a muslim - or religious
7- I am truly afraid of the dark and I still use a nightlight ...

attention everyone ... So i am TAing - as most of you know - this semester. It seems that I won't have any students coming because I have the morning class discussion on thursday . To top it off - I have office hours during someone else who is TA session - whatev - get some work done. But the work i would do is for TA-ing but there won'r be anyone in my classes - and then i will do more work for the discussion section that no one attends and I will have done all this work for nothing.
