Can I Borrow $25
Current mood: awake
Category: Religion and Philosophy
Can I Borrow $25?
Can I borrow $25? A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.
SON: 'Daddy, may I ask you a question?' DAD: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the man. SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?' DAD: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the man said angrily. SON: 'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?' DAD: 'If you must know, I make $50 an hour.' SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down. SON: 'Daddy, may I please borrow $25?'
The father was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolities.' The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.
The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money? After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down , and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $25.00 and he really didn't ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door. 'Are you asleep, son?' He asked. 'No daddy, I'm awake,' replied the boy. 'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the man. 'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $25 you asked for.'
The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank you daddy!' He yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills. The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father. 'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the father grumbled. Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied. 'Daddy, I have $50 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.'
The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness. It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that $50 worth of your time with someone you love.
If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.
"The light of God surrounds us. The love of God enfolds us. The power of God protects us. The presence of God watches over us. Wherever we are God is and all is well." Angels have walked beside me all My life--and they still do. This is to all of you who mean something to me, I pray for your happiness. Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow. Don't walk behind me, I may not lead. Just walk beside me and be my friend. From my house to yours!

I Believe, The Album
Current mood: determined
Category: Music
I treaded a long road just to come to this day, hour and minute. My life has seen its ups and downs but when I finally decided to climb up the rungs of the ladder, my stepping towards the mark of the higher calling was without limits.
I was blessed with many things. Of these my family, upbringing and good health are among the ones I treasure the most. But I was also blessed with many talents that have helped me to decide that my moment of time has opened the door for me and I have to walk through it.
I am a singer, writer and composer who now being in Christ, is willing to rest upon his good news to risk using the gifts he has anointed me with in new ways. A few years back, I was given a task that has helped me to become more intimate with my own feelings and to use them to scribe my emotions. I started working with a children's choir and teaching and the experience is wonderful. I get to learn new songs and I have the opportunity to teach and learn at the same time because working with them requires me to study a lot more, almost as if I were taking a college course.
Through working with them, I have gained strengths in playing the piano a little bit better, structuring my voice more, learning the fundamentals of harmony, conducting, ear training and how to be a team player, though sometimes that is the hardest thing. It was during a rehearsal one day when the good vibe and flow started to lose its grip that I decided it was time for me to put my mind into trying to write songs for them instead of always teaching them someone else's. I started in October of 2006, on a journey into the center of my heart and thus the album, I Believe was conceived. I wanted to complete it in time to give it to them by Christmas and just in the nick of time, it was completed on December 23rd, 2006 in time to give it to them on the eve of Christmas.
I Believe is an album featuring 14 tracks of pure Gospel music. All the songs, singing and background on this album have been written, arranged, composed and produced by Stephanie Jeannot. I am a lyric soprano with a great sense of harmony. I've been said to sound like Faith Evans and Mariah Carey. My style has a twist of jazz and funk in it. Within the 14 tracks is an intro, 2 interludes and an outro. There is steady, unique flow throughout the entire project with an abundance of sound.
I entitled it I Believe because I didn't want to hold on to discouragement of not being able to get through to someone and because I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I wanted to be able to touch, heal and deliver. I wanted to write songs with meaning and a good message that someone could carry along in their day towards gaining hope and inspiration. I wanted to express my spirit with full vocal expression in all rawness and power. This project is the universal music of my heart.
Song List
(1) Guiding Light (Intro)
(2) Psalm 30
To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever. -Psalm 30:12
(3) I Believe
(4) I Know
Bass player OJay has collaborated with me on this song and plucked out his bass line adding a rich, piercing sound to the textural mass.
(5) Worthy
(6) Comfort
(7) Foundation (Interlude)
(8) Trust And Never Doubt
The lyrics are based around Romans 5:1-2 of the New International Version of the Word of God which says, Therefore, we have been justified by faith. We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. We rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.
(9) God is Patient
(10) Shield of Faith (Interlude)
(11) Marvelous Gift
(12) Love & Thankfulness
(13) For Simply Being You
(14) Glory To God (Outro)
I Believe was copyright by the United States Copyright Office on January 4, 2007 and has been registered with ASCAP. I have been working on improving it to make it a work that I can truly present to the public. It is a project that comes with lots of emotion and outbursts of organic life. The pieces of my patchwork quilt that have been weaved and crotched in is the melody of my spirit and has added relish to my life.
One thing I am still confident about is that I can some day collaborate with others on background vocals and arrangement to make some remixes of the songs on this album. It is nice to do your background vocals by yourself but another voice adds a quality that is unbeatable. I cooked the flavors of this album with love and I pray that you enjoy the tastes of it. The collaborations are an experience that I welcome and await patiently.

These websites feature more write-ups on this album, snippets and samples of the songs featured, music and more. If you do stop by and visit, please sign my guestbook to let me know that you were there which serve for me as encouragement.
The spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to you. This album is currently available on EBAY or on my website mentioned above. Your support would be a blessing unto God. If you are a lover of good, solid music and are interested in hearing a new flow of sounds of the Gospel genre, don't hesitate to check me out. May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer.

God’s Coffee
Current mood: satisfied
Category: Religion and Philosophy
--- God's Coffee --
A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life.
Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the coffee.
When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress.
Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups... And then you began eyeing each other's cups.
Now consider this: Life is the coffee; the jobs, the money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain life, and the type of cup we have does not define, nor change the quality of Life we live.
Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee God has provided us." God brews the coffee, not the cups.......... Enjoy your coffee!
"The happiest people don't have the best of everything They just make the best of everything."
Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly……Leave the rest to God. "A gloomy spirit rots the bones; but a merry heart is like good medicine." Proverbs 17:22

The Reason "I Believe"
Current mood: content
Category: Religion and Philosophy
The Awesomeness of God!!
IN CHEMISTRY... HE TURNED WATER TO WINE
IN BIOLOGY...HE WAS BORN WITHOUT THE NORMAL CONCEPTION.
IN PHYSICS...HE DISAPPROVED THE LAW OF GRAVITY WHEN HE ASCENDED INTO HEAVEN
IN ECONOMICS...HE DISPROVED THE LAW OF DIMINISHING RETURN BY FEEDING 5000 MEN (not...INCLUDING the WOMEN and CHILDREN) WITH TWO FISHES & 5 LOAVES OF BREAD;
IN MEDICINE...HE CURED THE SICK AND THE BLIND WITHOUT ADMINISTERING A SINGLE DOSE OF DRUGS,
IN HISTORY...HE IS THE BEGINNING AND THE END;
IN GOVERNMENT...HE SAID THAT HE SHALL BE CALLED WONDERFUL COUNSELOR, PRINCE OF PEACE;
IN RELIGION...HE SAID NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH HIM;
SO.
WHO IS HE?
HE IS JESUS!
JOIN ME AND LET'S CELEBRATE HIM;
HE IS WORTHY.
THE EYES BEHOLDING THIS MESSAGE SHALL NOT BEHOLD EVIL, THE HAND THAT WILL SEND THIS MESSAGE TO EVERYBODY SHALL NOT LABOR IN VAIN, AND THE MOUTH SAYING AMEN TO THIS PRAYER SHALL SMILE FOREVER. REMAIN IN GOD AND SEEK HIS FACE ALWAYS.
AMEN
IN GOD I'VE FOUND EVERYTHING!
The Greatest Man in History
Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master. Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet
He conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today. I feel honored to serve such a Leader who loves us!
God's Blessing is Over Flowing!
Have A Blessed Day and pass this on.
The Next Person Just Might Need It!
God is too wise to make a mistake and too good to be unkind, so when you can't trace His hand trust His heart!

"I Believe" The Album
Current mood: content
Category: Music
Life has it's ups and downs. We live it and do what we can to make the best of it. God gives us the day but it is up to the individual to use it to his/her advantage.
There are many good days and no matter how much I have been fortunate enough to have within my life, I complain. Yet, how can I complain when I have everything I need to make it through witht he faith that is within me.
That is why I started ont he journey and I called it " I Believe." I work with one of the best youth choirs in NBew York called The New Generation. After one of our rehearsals, I got a little discouraged because I want them to gain something from me that they can carry on and use forever in their lives. I teach them a lot of songs and decided that I was going to write my own album and teach them my own songs instead of everybody else's.
So I sat down in fron of my Triton and with the use of Sonar and Cubase, I have produced a 14 track album of God's grace and mercy. There is so much to be thankful for and to acknowledge the love t hat our Lord and Savior has given to us, I have put my faith into him.
I must say, my project was to be able to finish the album and give it to the New Generation by December 24th, which I did. Still in the works for something bigger and better, I feel it necessary to share God's praise with the world.
Please pray for me that I will have the strength to make it happen. Thank you for taking the time to support my efforts by reading my blog and please stay tuned for more news on the forthcoming album, "I Believe"

Quotes To Remember
"It is the part of an uneducated person to blame others where he himself fares ill; to blame himself is the part of one whose education has begun; to blame neither another nor his own self is the part of one whose education is already complete. " -Epictetus
"The brave endure their labors, the cowardly are worth nothing at all." Euripides
"Always when you are about to say anything, first weigh it in your mind; for with many the tongue outruns the thought. Let there be but two occasions for speech - when the subject is one which you thoroughly know and when it is one which you are compelled to speak. On these occasions alone is speech better than silence; on all others, it is better to be silent than speak." -Isocrates
"Nature has given us one tongue and two ears so that we would listen twice as much as we speak." -Zeno
"Love of honor is a very shady form of possession." -Herodotus
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" -Phillipians 4:13
"You cannot reason with a hungry belly. It has no ears." -Greek Proverb

"I want to gain 1,500 or 2,000 yards, whichever comes first." - George Rogers
"Education is the progressive discovery of our own ignorance." -Will Durant
"It's the gossip columnist's business to write about what is none of his business." -Louis Kroenberger
"There is only one rule for being a good talker - Learn to listen." -Christopher Morley
"Don't rush. There is a perfect moment for everything we do." -Theognis
"He who is not aware of his own strength neglects his own self." -Xenophon
"To become self-educated, you should condemn yourself for all those things you would criticize others." -Diogenese of Sinope
"I think anybody who doesn't think I'm not smart enough to handle the job is underestimating." - George W. Bush
"Classiness is conveyed through simple confidence. Classically sexy people are confident in their appearance and composure. They may not necessarily be super-model beautiful or drop-dead handsome, but they possess an unshakable assuredness of their worth. They are not arrogant, but they know who they are and are secure in that knowledge..ically sexy people do not feel the need to bare all because they do not define their worth by how much they can attract." -www.Iamnext.com
"Beauty should not come from what you wear. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth." - Hannah

Stress Health
Current mood: peaceful
Category: Writing and Poetry
I know, life can sometimes bring you down and the that's when everything seems to not be going your way. It happens to me too, and that's when I feel like crying because of thoughts of failure and frustration. You can change that!
Think: Just think about it. Things could be a lot worst. No matter what the problem may be, you should acknowledge what problems you don't have. Remember, life is not guaranteed. It is a privilege and a blessing that we are still here and have the ability to try and cope with our daily life.
Lean not on your own understanding!: Let God into your heart. Get on your knees and pray. Believe me, I know that at times the last thing you want to do is pray because your faith starts to slip. Do you know that we have won the victory just by waking up in the morning. Let Jesus fight your battle. Call out his name because he will listen. And don't stress over what could have been or what you could have done different because then it is just going to make you feel worst. Put your faith into God's hands and let Jesus walk the walk and fight the fight. He can and will make a difference.
Pamper Yourself!: No use staying in depression and deciding you are not good enough to even enjoy the life that you have been so blessed to have. Get up from under the covers and let sleep, drinking and/or doing drugs be the last thing you think about as a solution because once you awaken and sober up, the problem still exists. How about taking a walk and enjoying the blessings of Mother Nature. Isn't it a blessing that you have the ability to see the beauty which God has made. Why not walk into a nail salon and get a manicure and pedicure. Self-manicures and pedicures are not bad either. Don't let anyone make you think that just because you can't do what they do, you are any less of a person than they are because they have not been made judges in this world. Hey, a soothing bubble bath with some epsom salt. Relaxation, rest and self-reflection can change the mood drastically. Don't dwell, soak.
Keep the Faith!: Everybody holds onto an objective in which they feel holds importance. Be patient because everything has it's time and season and just because your day has not yet arrived doesn't mean that it isn't coming. Do yourself a favor and keep believeing because tomorrow is another day. Hold your head up high and walk with pride. And make sure to not give into failing to believe or thoughts that other people may have to try to put you down because faith is the key to unlock doors remembering that no matter what, you have what it takes. Believe in yourself.
Today and Tomorrow, not Yesterday!: I understand, you want to keep bringing up the past and thinking about who was there or what you had that may not be present any more. I do it and it hurts my feelings for no reason because who or what isn't in my life, may not be there and even though those memories remain in my heart, time continuously moves. You have so much to be happy about in your present and future. Life goes on and you must believe that and keep on moving day by day. Remember tomorrow is not guaranteed because with life, there is death. I urge you to look in the mirror at yourself and honestly answer the question, "Can people tell I am not happy if they look at me?" What happened to smiling and being happy for the today that you are living. Don't let today pass you by. Live!
Pray!: Falling short of so many things can put you into the position of not wanting to include anything that has to do with God into your life. Is that the solution? Are you happy? Be not afraid of what God has in store for you. Prayer does help because it has helped me when I thought the only thing I had left to be greatful for was that death might soon come. Honor him, for he gave you life. Give 10% of yourself to him a day which would only be 24 minutes. You might be thinking, that is too long. I don't own time like that. How about praying for 5 minutes in the morning, praying for 5 at night and then for 15 minutes during your day, read a bible scripture and listen to Gospel music. Letting Jesus into my life has made me a better person and a happier person. And remember love yourself. Nobody is going to love someone who has no care for themself. Believe in who you are, trust in your destiny and love the heart that you hold. You deserve the joy of salvation and it is up to you to walk with a smile that radiates the sun and blesses others. Staying depressed is not only sad, it is unhealthy and could cause numerous illnesses like strokes, heart attacks, heart pain, etc. Never fall short of the goodness and beauty God has made you to be.
