3 Color Flyer

So my latest project was to design a concert flyer using only 3 colors. Originally I designed a flyer for a faux band called "Look Sir, Robots!" but when Chris Casual posted a bulletin advertising his weekly gig at Peacock I redesigned it with his info so that it's real. Apparently he showed his manager at the bar and they are going to print them up and post them around Austin. SO if you see one, think of me. But go see Chris Casual on Friday's at Peacock. He's got great taste in music.

Digital Life part 2

So i got my internet back today thanks to the sexy repair guy Sergio, who fixed the problem and spent a good solid hour on his knees with his bejeaned but in the air. I feel that it’s important to look on the bright side of things, especially when dealing with the frustrations of modern life. As the old saying goes, when life gives you lemons, make sexy repair guys named Sergio-aid. Oddly enough, however, not having internet removed a huge distraction I usually fall prey to when writing a paper and has allowed me to get quite alot of work done in not a very long amount of time. Too bad, I still have a good amount of writing and editing ahead of me this evening and tomorrow morning. But thanks to Sergio, I won’t have to go to school in order to email my paper.

My Life in the Digital Age

I am so angry at AT&T right now!! They took away my internet during finals week! I’m up at school now downloading articles for my final paper that I have to write this week. It wouldn’t make me so mad if I hadn’t called them yesterday and then waited around today for someone to come out and tell me that the problem was with them and not at my apt only to leave and then have the DSL connection come back online and then an hour later have it stop working again so that I had to call them and go through the whole fucking process again, answering the same questions and listening to the same hold music, and THEN have them tell me that the earliest time a technician can come out is MONDAY!! So then I hang up and try to call my mom to gripe at her about my technical difficulties but now MY FUCKING PHONE ISN’T WORKING! And not my AT&T cell phone that ALREADY didn’t work, but my house phone. It’s like some schmo at AT&T decided that I needed to be cut off from every communication technology afforded to us living in the 21st century. I mean, I’m pretty sure that if I had a telegraph machine THAT wouldn’t work either. At any rate, my house phone came back online thank the lord and I’ve calmed down thanks to my friend Stella Artois. But I just wanted to let people know that I won’t be as communicative as I usually am, at least for awhile.


Oh yeah, and tomorrow I’m going to AT&T wireless to get a new cell phone that will work because I’ve been pushed to the limits of my tolerance for shoddy service and sub-par technology.

Happy Birthday Faith!

So, my little baby angel monster is one year old today. I didn't realize it until just now. So now I have to scramble to get some kind of last minute present that is appropriate for a one-year-old cat. Too bad all the stores around here are closed. She's gonna be so pissed that I forgot her first birthday. So i might just wake up tomorrow with no face, or very little face. It's been known to happen over lesser things.
