Check this out

Hello all!

There's a new site out there, created by our Austrian friends that have invited us to Vienna in November, that deserves your attention. You can find it at www.myspace.com/thrashcommand. Take a few minutes to check it out and support the underground thrash scene! Such initiatives are worthy of attention. As a band we express our support to such sites that aim to extend the underground thrash metal scene in Europe and provide the opportunities new groups need to promote their music.

November draws near and our show in Vienna will be a blast!

Take care,
Suicidal Angels

More info regarding the concert with Nile
Category: Music

Here's some useful information regarding our concert on October 7th, supporting Nile:

> The ticket price is
27€.

> The concert starts at 19:30 and will take place at Gagarin Club. Please make sure to be there earlier, so as not to miss any of the Greek supporting acts. We will appear second in the running order, between Mass Infection and In Utero Cannibalism (both are great Greek death metal bands), in order to give a thrashing tone to this death metal night.

Cheers and see you all there!!!!

Suicidal Angels live with Nile

We are more than happy to announce that Suicidal Angels will perform live as a supporting act to Nile at their show in Athens, on October 7th. It feels really great to have the opportunity to share the stage with such an awesome death metal band, whose drummer is our fellow Greek George Kollias!

For the first time, our set will be a combination of "Eternal Domination" songs and tunes that will be included in our second full-length album, due in 2009.

The show will take place at Gagarin 205 club. More information on ticket costs, starting time etc will be posted here very soon, so stay tuned!

See you all at Gagarin!

Thrash in Vienna

It's a pleasure that a Suicidal Angels headlining concert in Austria is now confirmed! On November 29th Suicidal Angels will thrash Vienna and it was about time we returned to this beautiful metal city!
We will prepare a special show for our Austrian friends, compiling songs from our first album, a couple of new tunes we are eager to play live, some oldies and a few tribute covers to bands we admire and respect. Since it's a headline show no time restrictions apply, so be prepared to headbang till you drop!

Many thanx goes to our friend Kristina, who promotes the show in Vienna and was kind enough to invite us.

Stay tuned as more news regarding a European tour will come soon. Until then, thrash till fuckin' death!

Rehearsing new songs

Hello friends!

We gladly inform you that Suicidal Angels are spending their time rehearsing new songs for their second full length album due in 2009. So far we have 5 songs ready and they mean serious thrash business! The new record will feature fast and aggressive thrash tunes like the first one, but rest assured  we won't create an exact copy of Eternal Domination! The new tunes are shaping up with interesting differences compared to the E.D songs and we are all very pleased with the outcome.

What's more, Suicidal Angels are working on a European tour in Winter, when they will present some of the new tunes, plus a concert in their hometown, Athens, sometime soon! Stay tuned for more information, as the plans to hit the stage again are in motion!

Take care!

Texas Summer Festival cancellation
Category: Music

Unfortunately, due to some problems that occured, we will not be able to participate in the "Texas Summer Festival" on June 27th, as originally planned. We were really looking forward to perform at that festival, especially after the show on May 11th, where our friends treated us in the best way with non-stop moshing and stage-diving! Our replacement will be a thrash metal war machine called Benefactor Decease. Although we won't perform, we will be there to support the Greek thrash metal scene and witness a true thrash metal holocaust! Just don't miss it!

A night to remember
Current mood: blessed

There are truly no words to describe what took place last night at Underworld Club. We can simply say we are deeply honoured and thankful to have performed for the wildest, craziest and most devoted friends one could ever dream of having!!!

Last night was a fuckin' thrash holocaust! From start to finish, one could only see mosh pits and stage diving! From the first note we played at around 22:20 till the last song at around 23:20, our friends from Athens honoured us with their unbelievable reaction to our show. Want a hint? There were four big, plastic glasses of beer "resting" behind the central monitors for Nick to treat the people. It took no more than five seconds after the show had started for the fans to begin moshing, dislocate the monitors and spill the beer over the stage! That's thrash metal!! That's what we call a fuckin' awesome crowd!!

We really gave one of the best concerts to date, yesterday. It contained 11 Suicidal Angels songs, two covers (one of them, Post Mortem, not scheduled and played after the demand for more songs!), liters of sweat, wild headbanging, moshing, crowd surfing, hanging from air conditioning systems (!) and pure old school thrash feeling! Damn, we had a good time and promise to do it all over again when we have the chance!

We want to thank all of you who came to the show last night and gave us such a good time. We will surely remember this night for a long, long time. Yesterday's concert was filmed and parts of it will soon appear online. This way everyone will experience and at least try to grasp what went on at this particular show.

Many thanks are owed to all our friends from the other bands that performed last night as well, namely our friends from Sacram, Bleed and Beyond Exorcism. All of them were really cooperative in the planning and organizing of this gig. The schedule was respected; the doors opened at 19:00, the show started at 19:30 and finished at 23:20, just as planned. This is something very rare to happen in Greece (!) and it couldn't have been pulled off without the cooperation and understanding of all the groups. Moreover, the bands gave their best to put a good show and we're sure all of you that attended last night's concert were satisfied.

A big thanx goes also to our sound engineer, Nick Spyropoulos of Live Studio, for producing such a good sound and helping us yet again with a show in Greece. We much appreciate his interest in Suicidal Angels, suggested not only by his professional help with the shows but also by various other touring and recording services he has provided through the years!

To conclude, let's just say that any band that might experience what we did last night can honestly feel blessed. Thank you all for your support! Suicidal Angels will now take a break and focus on rehearsing new songs for our next album, due next year. We have a lot of songs composed already, one of which we played last night and hope you liked it! Be prepared for pure, fast and aggressive old school thrash, for this is the music we love to play!

Σας ευχαριστούμε για όλα! Να 'στε καλά!

Mille Petrozza on Suicidal Angels

This came directly out of the blue and surprised the hell out of us... It is with huge honour that we post this blog today. We are very happy to announce that Mille Petrozza, Kreator's frontman and one of the most influential and important persons in thrash worldwide has commented on Suicidal Angels in the latest issue of the Greek edition of Metal Hammer. The relevant passage is translated below:

Mille Petrozza on Suicidal Angels

Metal Hammer, Greek Edition, issue 281, May 2008

Reporter: Since we started talking about it, can you tell me about any bands you distinguish from today's thrash metal scene (pay attention to the answer!)?

Mille: I think that Legion of the Damned is a really good band. A second band I can mention is the Greeks Suicidal Angels (becoming enthusiastic): Very good band, fresh ideas, young guys and very talented!

Reporter: I thing that these words coming from you constitute a great compliment for these guys.

Mille: I don't mean it like this at all. They are really an awesome band. We played together some time ago and their gig is very much refreshing and energetic. They are cool guys, as well.

What can we say? We are deeply thankful to Mille for his comments and promise him and all of our friends that we will work even harder now, to become a better band and continue to deliver fast and furious thrash metal to the world.

Thank you all for your support! See you on tour!

Back from the Balkans
Category: Music

Hello all! We're back from our mini Balkans tour supporting Onslaught, which featured 3 gigs in Romania and one in Bulgaria. The show in Komotini, Greece, originally part of this tour as well, was cancelled. It's getting a bit irritating that many shows in Greece are being cancelled just before they take place and we apologise to all our friends who might have wanted to attend them, but we really can't do anything about it. Cancellations are decided by concert promoters, local or not, and the bands usually just receive the bad news while on tour or just before it.

We would like to thank all the fans that showed up at the shows and gave us a warm welcome! We hope we've put a good show for you! Extra thanx goes to our Bulgarian friends for being so nice and supporting to us again. It was our third time in Bulgaria and probably one of the best shows we've ever given! Thank you Bulgaria!

Yet again, a big thanx to Onslaught for being such cool guys and friends. We will never forget their support and definitely wish to tour with them again in the future. You guys fuckin' rule!

This tour hasn't been without problems for us. Certain issues occured and we might get back on the problems we encountered on a future post. For now, we keep the love people have shown us and the friendship we've built with Onslaught as the highlight of this tour.

Concluding, let us remind you that Suicidal Angels will appear live in Athens (Underworld club) on Sunday, 11 May 2008 to deliver pure, fast and aggressive old school thrash metal that will make every head bang to all our friends that wish to attend!

Stay thrash!
