"You still look at the world around you from a thousand miles away"
So I made my Wednesday 13 picture folder on Myspace private. I submitted 3 photos to Mr.13 to be used in his upcomming live CD/DVD release. Maybe one of mine will get picked.
Was cleaning out my Inbox and found an old email from you that made me smile. I miss you sometimes.
I made a skirt yesterday:
I'm thinking of re-doing that uneven line I dunno though...I like uneven things...
I also still need to sew edges in..or something...
It's almost done though. I think I did pretty good for someone who dosent know anything about sewing :P
About two months ago I made some bumflaps:
This one is reversable:
So that was good practice.
Went and saw I Am Ghost last week It was my second time seeing them only this time there were all new members. Juliano was still there of course. They put on a pretty good show. I like their guitar solos.
This band called The Urgency opened for them. They were pretty good. Although they sounded like the Police :P Their music was arranged very well.
Eyes Set to Kill also opened. They were o.k Didn't care for them too much.
A day after that I saw Gorgeous Frankenstein with Bella Morte. 2nd time seeing Bella Morte in a month :P They're always fun though. Their shows are always very energetic and the crowd never knows what to do, so they just shut up watch.
The past couple times I saw them(bella morte) they played this song that I didn't know the name of. But it had all these weird changes at weird times, and was just perfect. The first time I heard it at their shows I was completely "wtf'd?!" by it so when I saw them a month later I paid more attention to it. I thought it was a song on their new album(bleed the grey sky black) cause I didnt recognize it on any of their older ones, but when I sat down to finally listen to their new album the song wasnt on there. Well it was, but not that version of it. Their live stuff is always ALOT different than their studio recordings :/
Anyhow...
It was my first time seeing Gorgeous Frankenstein. They were pretty cool Played for about an hour. The venue of course was completely packed. Hot Topic must've sold out of Misfits shirts that day, haha!
I got to see a friend that I hadnt seen in 3.5? years. I was flattered that he rememberd me, lol I still have the cobweb from when we first met btw :P It seems like I've misplaced the piece of cardboard which was probably the most important part. Sorry.
So I ordered a Dead Boys album from work. I get in random moods to listen to them, but don't have any of their albums.
Does anyone have IFC? If so, Did you happen to catch The Decline of Western Civilization II: The Metal Years last week?!?! That documentary is SO AWESOME! I *NEED* it! It's kinda hard to find on DVD :( But so are Russ Meyer films *cries*
I want to see Death Race! lol Roger Corman at least produced it I love Roger Corman. He's gettin old! <3
Has anyone seen Mirrors? I saw an article on it in Fangoria Magazine, and it looked pretty gory. Was wondering if it actually was worth checking out.
Even though It's kinda old Saint of Blue by Lucy Pierre is the best song I've heard in a while.
I'm getting tired of clothes. I love clothes and all, but I'm tired of dealing with them. I have ideas for stuff I'd like to make someday, but sometimes I'm just tired of fabric. There should be something new that works just as good, lol But I am also contradictive. Saying that makes me want to make something completely amazing out of nothing but plain fabrics to where it dosent look like fabric at all.
I'm tired of the way fashion is today. It's either a modern New Wave fashion, or 60's hippie. Everything is either bright neon, or looks like a Moomoo.
Hayley Williams from Paramore has a nice voice and can actually sing.
Sometimes I'm attracted to certain types of music and can't figure out why. I have a respect for some random bands for no reason at all. Even if I dont particularly like their music.
I want to be green, or some kinda Violet / Fuchsia colour.
Vietnamese Avocado Smoothies are the best EVER! I need a blender and some avocados so I can make alot of it :D
Went to see London After Midnight last month. It was an ok show and I was happy that I finally got to see them even though I don't really care for them much anymore. They did play my favourite song of theirs though.
I saw Bella Morte July 4th. It was my second time seeing them. The first time was four or five years ago when they opened for VAST. lol They put on a good show. I might be seeing them again in August when they tour with Gorgeous Frankenstein.
The two bands I've been wanting to see more than anything right now though are Hocico and Cinema Strange. They never really tour the states though :/
I was reading in Fangoria the other day that Jeremy Kasten is doing a remake of H.G. Lewis' The Wizard of Gore. Going straight to DVD in August though. Crispen Glover plays Montag the Magnificent. Jeremy Kasten also has the ok to do remakes of other H.G. Lewis flicks Gore Gore Girls, Gruesome Twosome, and She-Devils on Wheels. I'm excited about She-Devils on Wheels, and Gore Gore Girls! Hopefully he'll do an awesome job and brings stuff like that back! 16Volt is doing some of the music for Wizard of Gore, lol They headlined the Bella Morte show I went to, but we just stuck around for Bella Morte :P
anyhow:
Wizard of Gore(old movie) Trailer:
She-Devils on Wheels(old movie) Trailer:
Gruesome Twosome(old movie) Trailer:
I cant find a trailer for Gore Gore Girls anywhere :/ Theres a new Wizard of Gore Trailer around on Youtube but I havent watched it yet. I think I'll just wait and buy the movie when it comes out :)
Lost Boys 2 is also straight to DVD which sucks cause I'd actually like the see that one before I spend 20 dollars on it. Maybe Alamo Drafthouse will screen it or something.

I meant to write about this before, but for some reason as I sat down to do it this ended up coming out instead.
but...
In March I got a letter that was supposed to be from my mom(it was written in someone elses handwriting, but she addressed the envelope). It said that my Grandma had a stroke that left her blind, so she was no longer able to take care of herself. She moved in with an aunt I've never heard of and wasnt doing too well. She also sent me 50$. Woo hoo!
About a week later I wrote my mom back asking about my Grandma's condition. If it seemed like she was getting better or worse, and I asked for an address to where she was living at now.
It's been nearly four months since I've heard back from her, lol
My mom has a tendancy to be avoidant when it comes to certain issues. I guess the one thing me and her have in common is that we're both completely retarded when it comes to interacting / communicating.
I remember when I was about 7 or so I'd ask her about my 'real' dad. Like what he looked like, where he lived, etc. she'd get really depressed and not answer my questions. Instead of answering she'd get drunk, and shove down a bunch of pills. Either that or try offing herself some other way. I guess death to her was alot better than answering questions :P or an easier route. THAT is something we dont have in common btw.
Anyhow, I wonder if thats what she's doing now. Mabye she's in another looney bin? Or maybe she finally accomplished an attempt?
If she ever did write me back, I know she'd change the subject and still never answer.ansewer.ansur.answer. that has to be the stupidest word ever.
If she didnt want to talk about any of it or deal with any questions maybe she shouldnt have written to me about it in the first place. I honestly dont care if thats the last I hear from her. I do kinda have feelings for her and stuff sometimes though cause I know (from what i've gathered)she's been through alot growing up and she dosent understand that there are other alternatives to getting over things. My feelings for her dont go much deeper than that. Kinda like a film of slime that gets smuged every once and a while.
I dunno. Maybe I should just start looking at obituaries online or something. When my Grandpa died a few years ago I didnt find out about it until six months later. Of course my mom knew the following day, but didnt mention it to me. The way I found out was when my aunt called and I happened to answer the phone. It had been a while since I last talked to her so she asked me about how my mom was doing(cause my mom sometimes lies about it) and she asked about how I was and how come I didnt go to the funeral. Uh...What funeral? She then explained to me that he had died of stomach cancer the day before his birthday(March 2nd) Duh?! If I hadnt of answered the phone, I'm sure it wouldve been years since I found out. Luckily I found out before visiting my Grandma again though. I wouldve hated to be all..So wheres Grandpa?
Anyways. I just thought I'd write about that :P
On a much much better note(maybe for some) I bought a Ratt album Out of the Cellar which is completely AWESOME! Right now we're having this 3 for 20$ thinga ma jig at work (which would turn out cheaper than my employee discount), so I'm thinking of getting a couple Bon Jovi albums, a couple Cinderella albums, and I'm trying to squeeze New York Dolls in there somehow. We also have every album I've been wanting for years now on sale. So I'm hoping to be able to finally buy Def Leppard(Pyromania<3 Hysteria, and High and Dry) and Motley Crue(Shout at the Devil, Too Fast for Love, Girls Girls Girls, Dr. Feel Good and maybe Theatre of Pain) I already have most of these on my computer, but I'd like to actually own them. The thing is that I dont like spending alot of money on a weekly basis. So that might eventually make me cave in and not get anything for a while, lol I am getting more hours next week though, so maybe it wont be as bad. And if I get those albums now, even though I'd be spending alot of money, I would still be saving alot more cause the orginal prices of them are ridiculous and its hard to find originals of them(I look at second hand shops every chance i get)
I also hate having under $______ in my bank account. Thats prolly none of your business though :P
I bought Gummo and City of Lost Children yesterday. Neither of which I've seen. I still have a pile of movies I need to watch...
I listened to this song on repeat for like an hour yesterday....

"When you're talkin to yourself And nobody's home You can fool yourself You came in this world alone
So nobody ever told you baby How it was gonna be So what'll happen to you baby Guess we'll have to wait and see
Old at heart but I'm only 28 And I'm much too young To let love break my heart Young at heart but it's getting much too late To find ourselves so far apart
I don't know how you're s'posed To find me lately And what more could you ask from me How could you say that I never needed you When you took everything Said you took everything from me
Young at heart an it gets so hard to wait When no one I know can seem to help me now Old at heart but I musn't hesitate If I'm to find my own way out
Still talkin' to myself and nobody's home
So nobody ever told us baby How it was gonna be So what'll happen to us baby Guess we'll have to wait and see
When I find out all the reasons Maybe I'll find another way Find another day With all the changing seasons of my life Maybe I'll get it right next time An now that you've been broken down Got your head out of the clouds You're back down on the ground And you don't talk so loud And you don't walk so proud Any more, and what for
Well I jumped into the river Too many times to make it home I'm out here on my own, and drifting all alone If it doesn't show give it time To read between the lines 'Cause I see the storm getting closer And the waves they get so high Seems everything We've ever known's here Why must it drift away and die
I'll never find anyone to replace you Guess I'll have to make it thru, this time- Oh this time Without you
I knew the storm was getting closer And all my friends said I was high But everything we've ever known's here I never wanted it to die"
Funny how many albums I own / plan to own and yet I still find myself listening to the same 7 albums over and over again. Sometimes I just listen to certain songs... over and over again. This one just happens to be one of my song loops.

I always feel like writing things in here, but never know what to write about.
I'm not very deep. And writing about Hitler would probably be ironical(isnt it already) and might confuse people since im not good at communicating thoughts to others so that they'd understand.
Stupid Humans. Or something.
I'm not an Arteest either.
I've decided that going to bed with unbrushed teeth is just as bad as going a whole day with unbrushed teeth.
It's awesome! If you have a soft spot for over the top exploitation flicks, you might wanna give this film a shot ;)
I'm already starting to feel lame for not having anything to say. I always feel like I write about the same crap over and over again. I guess, contrary to what you may believe, I'm not very exciting, lol. Exciting and Interesting are two different things.
Going to see London After Midnight at the end of the month. I used to like them alot. Then I got tired of them, and started to feel cheesy.
For something to make ME feel cheesy is funny. Especially if you know the kinda stuff im into, haha!
They got boring I suppose, and I stopped caring. But I remember that I used to like them, and that I used to want to see them really bad. So I'm excited about finally getting to.
Also going to see Bella Morte in July. They're interesting. Haven't heard any of their new stuff though. I saw them years back with VAST, lol Vast.
I wish most guys and girls dressed like 80's glam rockstars <3 I guess just running into a person every few months who dresses that way is more than enough to make me giggle everyday. I suppose if most people did it, it wouldnt be as interesting. Or in this case, maybe it would. Only a few people can pull it off though. I'd hate to see the people who can't.
Watched Rivers Edge the other night. Hadn't seen that movie in years! I finally got it on DVD months ago. I forgot how perfect every line in that movie was, lol
I'm running out of things to say. I'm gonna go put up laundry. Maybe something to write about will pop up as I'm doing that.
It's funny that its taken me three hours to write this much nothing, lol
I'm gonna go brush my teeth...
I bought a YES album. It's awesome.
Their music is sooo... complex. It's almost like at any given moment it could completely fall apart, but it somehow dosent, and magically works. Figuring out their timing / musical arrangements is a hard thing to do. It's as if they're madmen. The chorus' come in at odd places, and sometimes never come back, but are apparent. You can't just walk in on a Yes song.
Congrats to You You're a good guy. I knew you'd find her eventually :)
I'm getting hungry And kinda want a blender.
Anyone have any Terry Cloth shirts they dont want? Id like alot of them maybe. My RRIICCEE shirt is in terry cloth and seems like the comfiest thing ever. But I dunno if I should wear it.
So the show last night at Emo's(view previous entry) was as horrible as I thought it would be, haha! It was originally supposed to take place on the inside air conditioned stage, but due to the amount of people it got moved to the sweltering hot outside.
yay?
We got our table set up, called the band managers to let them know we were there, and we were good and ready.
After the table got set up I went to the entrance to hand out "Meet the band after the show!" flyers to people? as they were being let in. I couldnt help but notice how every single person was like Napoleon Dynamite, only not as cool.
A mixture of 80's street fashion fuzed with the 60's and 70's hippie / british invasion.
Out of the 250-300 person crowd, only about 10 were over 21 either because they were parents bringing their loaf to the show, or because they were college kids who actually liked the...music...ahem.
The Cab played first, then The Maine(who are graduating highschool this year btw),Danger Radio, Metro Station(sadly the best out of the bunch) then Forever the Sickest Kids(from Dallas) who headlined.
Metro Station was the best out of all of them because of the 1 difference i didnt mention yesterday:
They sound the most different out of the bunch, which isnt saying much
After watching the set I also discovered that their programming wasnt soo bad either. It's just that lyrical content sucked, music in general was bad. If it was just the programming alone, and completely different music layered over...then they'd have potential.
A recurring theme throughout the bands sets was what they chose for their intro music. Yanno how some bands play samples of movies before right before their set that kinda leads you into the music?
Well THESE bands had samples from popular 90's rap songs. One band had Gangsters Paradise by Coolio before their set, another California Love by 2Pac.
Im sure im the only one there that noticed casue I mentioned it to my work buddy John who was working the thing with me and he said he wasnt sure.
Another band used the whistling from Kill Bill. Yanno the one that that nurse lady does. Then the song kicked in with the guitars going along with it, lulz.
After the show the bands (Metro Station & Forever the Sickest Kids) were supposed to come to our table to to signings and whatnot.
We sold their albums at the show and gave the few people who bought them wristbands. They were supposed to keep the wristbands on, then come by after the show to get stuff signed. Metro Station wanted wristbands only. Or their manager did rather. Forever the Sickest Kids didnt care. So we had to separate the lines into two different ones for wristband only, and no wristband.
It got kida hectic, but not too bad.
I talked to the singer / guitarist from Metro Station some. I mentioned to him that I had almost wore the Motley Crue(Shout at the Devil) shirt he had on to the show. He replied with a delayed "hehe...Fuckin Cool Man" What a dork.
I do give him this though: He had somewhat of a good style going.
The signing lasted for about 30 minutes or so. Immediately after we packed up in about 10 minutes and high tailed it, lol
All in all it was a good experience I suppose. Maybe next time I get to work a show it'll be something totally awesome, heh.
