Samurai Girl debuts on ABC Family
Current mood: awake

SAMURAI GIRL

"Real World" cast-mate Jamie Chung slashes her enemies in the new ABC Family mini-series.

You have Kill Bill, you have The Karate Kid, and then you have Gossip Girl. Now, fuse all of these together, and what do you have? A 3-part miniseries on ABC Family that's based on the best-selling books.

The plot centers around a 19-year old Heaven Kogo, a young girl who is an adopted daughter of a wealthy Japanese family. Heaven just seems like your average young woman living and adapting to American culture. Until one day, during her wedding, a pack of deadly ninja invades the ceremony, attacks and kills her brother, leaving her and her American martial-artist friend fending for themselves in a sword-slashing foree. She's then set on a mission to fight the man behind the assasination attempt and realizes that her real father is a Yakuza mob boss.

You may remember Jamie Chung (Greek) from her stint on the "Real World," but she seems to break away that stigma and defy the odds as a Jennifer Garner-ish ninja princess.

MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT NEWS.

LINKIN PARK PLANS ON DOING A FOLLOW-UP TO THEIR 2007 SLEEPER SMASH HIT.

As reported on LPassociation.com (Linkin Park Association)

Linkin Park will be playing two shows in China in October: October 12th at the Shanghai Stadium, and October 19th at the Beijing Workers Stadium.

Source: www.linkinpark.com

In other news, Mike Shinoda recently stated in an interview that Linkin Park is already writing material for their follow-up to Minutes to Midnight, and has been recording demos during off-days from touring. He goes on to state that a new album sometime in 2009 is a possibility. Obviously it's still incredibly early to predict what will happen, but this could potentially be exciting news.

Alllrrrriiight! Can't hardly wait.  I happend to have the first Minutes To Midnight CD. But, it's obvious that the LP was planning on doing this when I've read an production note from the ban located on the inside cover page of the the MTM cd.

As this is written, the album is not yet finished. No cover art has been chosen. We aren't through mixing and mastering the songs. It is safe to say, however, that this will prove to be a different kind of album for us.

Now, I don't see how this is completely unfinished. I've listen to some songs on this cd and I must say, it seems like some really good stuff. Far from their comfort zone; it was as if they were experimenting with this project and wanted to share it with the world what they came up with. Like a rough draft, if you will.

I must admit, I loved the first track to the Minutes to Midnight CD, titled "Wake"  and I wished it wasn't cut short; it would've made a really good head-banger track. All in all, there were some songs that I was not sure of--including "Hands Held High" which I found as some march-to-the-rhythm-of-the-war drums beat; a kind of simplistic warrior song or In Between, which is Mike Shinoda's solo effort. But, other than all of this being said, it shouldn't comes as no surprise, since it's been stated in the MTM Cd cover page.

All the merrier, I'm waiting for the final project and I wish them all the luck.

LINKIN PARK FINISHES THE MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT TOUR

NEXT DESTINATION: U.S to the fuckin' A!

Source: Linkin Park Association

Linkin Park have just finished the first leg of their Minutes To Midnight tour over in Europe & the UK, and have now embarked on their next tour of the U.S! The band also plans to release "Given Up", the hard-hitting opener of Minutes To Midnight, as their next single, which will be accompanied by a live video compiled from footage of their recent trek to the UK.

Now, I like these guys really. And if money wasn't so tight on my little ass I would definietly go to their concert if it ever hits Chicago. A girl could dream, can she? But, I wish them the best of luck from the Chi!

THE WATCHMEN Lawsuit BATTLE
Current mood: imaginative
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

THE WATCHMEN LAWSUIT:

HOW WARNER BROS. $100 MILLION COMIC-BOOK FILM IS IN JEOPARDY OF GETTING RELEASED.  AND WHY 20TH CENTURY FOX is INVOLVED.

Looks like there's some there's gonna be a fight of the corporations: Warner Bro. vs 20th Century Fox corp over whether who'll own the rights over the "The Watchmen" project.

The comic-book adaption which was slated for a March 6, 2009 release may be in jeopardy of being released at all. The project has suffered from many starts and ends when Fox originally had the required rights to the Zack Snyder film, which is based on Alan Moore's critically-acclaimed graphic novels. But now a property of Warner Bros, Fox the claims that it never did give up the rights to the project in the first place, and seizing all plans to keep Warner Bros from releasing it in theaters. Merlarky indeed.

But, even more bogus about all of this is the judge who will be in charge of the case has requested that the case should continue--causing some madness with the fans who want to boycott Fox's latest slate of films that are also schedule for release, including this December's The Day The Earth Stood Still and next May's X-Men Origin: Wolverine.

But, the good news (well  by "possiblity", of course) that this lawsuit madness may not effect the release dates afterall--according to what I've read in Entertainment Weekly. As stated in the article, a anonymous insider states that, "The thought of this not coming out on time is pretty remote," while another source from both studios claims that the lawsuite will likely be cleared in a settlement.

Fox and Warner Bros. declined to comment.

Tsk, tsk. Hope it does get settled. I'm really hoping all of this will be cleared so the fans will have a reason to not give up on 2009. I'm really looking foward to this film and be introduced to another comic-book prize-property.

90210 BUZZ KILL
Current mood: awake
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

MY 90210 "BUZZ-KILL"

HOW I MAY BE THE ONLY PERSON THAT'S NOT TOO OPTIMISTIC.

The revitalization of an 90s' tv show may be genius--at least for the CW is concerned. The CW has always suffered from a rating's crunch, so the much talked-about remix of "Beverly Hills: 90210" may help the network break out of the hell of which they call "Low-rating purgatory." Not to sound like a highly pesimitic twat, but this show has been hyped about to death, and usually shows like this in the past have gotten the axed the moment they premiere.

But, in this case, the possibility can be "slim" since the producers never did make any advanced screening of the show's episodes for critics--which mostly is a sign to all that the show may SUCK! But, what will critical disaproval do? I heard that back in the early 90s, the critics weren't too pleased with the original 90210, and it lasted for at least 10 seasons. Now, it's been 8 years after the OG show cancelled, and a new idea pops up into place with the new show being titled..well "90210."  And what the CW producers promise is "an edgy contemporary spinoff". It seems that the network is desperate to get its groove back--having it already have Gossip Girl, Supernatural or Smallville to get teenie-boppers fanbase's motor running. But, to the neilson ratings, the demographic seems scarce against its predominantly-adult rival cable networks such as ABC, FOX, NBC or  basic cable network channels like TNT.

The new cast of pretty rich kids, including: Shenae Grimmes, AnnaLyne McCord, Jessica Stroupe, Dustin Milligan, Michael Steger and Triston Wilds, are said to be the network's hottest young cast since the cast of Gossip Girl. But will these kids be able to help the show survive? Or will this be a DOA. Something tells me it seems likely so. I'll hold my breathe--on least at least wait to see whsat will happed.

Sarah Palin: Under attack!!
Current mood: annoyed
Category: News and Politics

SARAH PALIN: SUPPORTS ABSTINENCE!

But her daughter makes it all the contrary.

Republicans stand behind their girl, 44 year-old Sarah Palin, whose daughter Briston is 5 months pregnant. Bristol also plans to marry the father of her unborn child.

Though it's none of anyone's business--the problem is here, this issue is nothing to discuss in the politician world. But, I'm not one, and there's no excuse to not get this subject off my chest. Alaska Governor, Sarah Palin, who has publicly addressed abstinence-only programs may want to rethink her stance after her daughter, who is 17-years old becomes the typical statistic of what Palin is trying to prevent--"Teen Pregnancy."

Sure, it's none of anyones business; but since Palin has chosen to put her daughter's business out in the open air (fearing that critics will take a jab at her records), I'm pretty sure it's okay for the problem to be open for debate. Republicans supports Palin's part in the political race, while she has raised eye-brows from her distractors and critics.

"Our beautiful daughter [Bristol] came to us with this news, that as parents we knw would make her grow up faster than we had planne. We're [Sarah along with her husband Todd Palin] proud of Bristol's decision to have her baby and even prouder to become grandparents," as said in a statement from released on Monday.

It's funna how normal young women (mostly "Black") can get ostracized about being unmarried and pregnant, while Republicans make it sounds as if it's something anyone should take with a shoulder shrug. Sure, this girl is just like any other normal teenager, but the problems with that is that she's raised by a mother who live and breathe politics. So it makes it all hard to swallow. Sarah Palin endorses something that is out of her control; it appears that her daughter has not becomes living and breathing proof of such the "pratice-what-you-preach" metaphor.

I'm sorry to sound like a heartless bitch, but politics can be just as dirty as two women mud-wrestling, or worst then brothers on the corner doing the "dirty dozens" and cracking "Yo momma" jokes at each others. So, my words are harmless.

SARAH PALIN: THE BULLDOG WITH "LIPSTICK"

HOW A SOCCOR-MOM CAN BE THE MEANEST WOMAN IN POLITICS.

"The difference between soccer-moms and bulldogs? Lipstick!"

Alaska Governor & Republican VP hopeful Sarah Palin may be giving Democratic Presidential nominee Barack Obama a run for his money.

Not that I'm saying that in a good way, but let's be honest, she did take a big-ass chunk at my homeboy during her speech at the Republic National Convention--which is getting rave reviews from both political experts and critics.  Palin also threw a few jabs at both her dictractors and McCain's Democratic rival Barack Obama. Monikored both a soccer-mom and a political bulldog for her attack-me-if-you-dare prominence, Sarah who drew the crowds at the convention on Wednesday, electrifying the crowd with a blow-for-blow comment that proves that her bite is far worst then her bark.

Sarah takes a jab at Obama's lack of experience by stating: "In politics, there are some candidates who use change to promote their careers," as a barbe-wired backlash at Obama's campaign tagline, while doing a second punch at the candidate with another attack in which she then says: "I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a ..community organizer,' except that you have actual responsibilities," making front of the comparison of Barack's experience or resume in goverment politics to hers. Note: As a young man, Obama did a stint as a community organizer.

Sarah Palin may be a force of nature, being compared as the Tina Fey of politics. But, will Barack back down? Or fight back?  Let the FIGHT begin!!

Barack, hit her where it hurts! Hit her so bad that you'll crack the lenses on those eye-glasses of hers!

How reality tv is creating monsters!
Current mood: annoyed

HOW REALIY TV IS CREATING MONSTERS: VOL. I

HOW THE WRONG PEOPLE ARE GETTING ATTENTION.

How American reality tv has become so sublime, creating publicity sucking creatures that roams in broad daylight.

Call them Reality tv's version of Frankenstien's Monsters. People whose ambitions to stardom involves a couple of camera following they're every move.   If the lack of privacy in your life worth so much? Is airing your dirty laundry to the American viewers worth it all? Sadly for some, it does. What has the world coming too? Is this the apocalyspe?! Is the entertainment so absent-minded that they think they can turn dirt into wine?

THIS ISSUE: Flavor Flav.

The same people who made rapper Flavor Flav the Cassonova of VHI's trash-reality show "Flavor of Lov" series. Does this n*** look like you'd fuck him in your sleep?

Though, it seems like millions of women would f**k with a chimpanzee who wears a clock around his neck. It's even more sickening to 5 of my senses: mostly the eyes & ears. "Flavor Flaaaaavvvv!!" He yells outs! While his personal and verbal ethiquette may sucks, what sucks more is the his charming good looks. (And that's sarcasm in text folks). Why does he always wear a damn clock around his neck anyways? Can't this n*** tell time? LMAO!

Many have tuned in to watched all 3 seasons of the reality-show religiously (Guilty as charged) only for the sake of good, old, trashy entertainment. Seeing women from all walks of life--whether if it's for love, or the sake of getting a career boost; all women try to win the heart of Mr. Flav. What I don't understand is how women can tolerate to stand  next to him for 5 minutes, kiss him or hug him without losing their food? Can anyone honest say that he's worth a opportunity to be on a show---for whatever reason it may be--- and go through the sickening task of trying to win a date with the most ugliest man in human history since the "Elephant-Man"?

OBAMA MAKES HISTORY!
Current mood: artistic
Category: News and Politics

OBAMA MAKES HISTORY IN THE POLITICAL WORLD.

Obama makes his acceptance speech on the most historical day in American history.

Above: Obama in Denver.

Barack Obama has made history not only as the first African-American to have ever been nominated as president of the United States of America; but he also has made history by making his acceptance speech on the 40th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr's "I Have A Dream" speech.

It's a lovely Thursday afternoon in Denver, Colorado and Obama is surrounded by the  millions of democratic supporters. Located in front of the magnificant Rocky Mountains, which sets the tone for what will be a powerful moment in Senator Obama's life. Though these supporters are small-town folks, these people are here for him; to support him. His speech will not only inspire the American voters, but give us hope that a "Change" is coming. His vision is to help a country who has lost their faith since the trials of 911, the War on Iraq & the Hurricane Katrina Aftermath, or the American goverment's budget crunch and tax cuts.

Many have seen Barack expand as a candidate, and like others, have often doubted and criticized him. But Barack have always been clear about his views, often fighting back at his distractors and the Republican camp with a "stand tall" attitude. There have been bullets of criticism from the Republican party about Obama being more of a celebrity rather then a man who can lead the nation--swaying the public attentions on the negatives instead of the positives. But he's bitten the bullets between the teeth and has many times, kept the focus on his ideals as president and what he can do for his people.

Many have heard about Barack's story: a man being raised by a single mother and have later grown up to defied all the odds and becomes the first black man to ever be excepted as a Democratic presidential nominee. Barack is a very articulate political figure like many of his predecessors, and have lead many to believe in a dream that was once thought to have been dead since the Bush administration's 8 year run. But, a time is coming folks. And it's a time for "CHANGE!"
