R.I.P. Mutsumi san

It was seven years ago today, February 5th 1999, that the music world tragically lost a true creative talent when SJM's lead vocalist Mutsumi Takahashi's body was found outside her apartment building.  Whether she had jumped or fallen from her balcony was never determined.  She left behind her husband and 2 year old child.

Hello, my name is Cujo.  This fan page is dedicated to the memory of Mutsumi san, and all the imaginitive, genuinely original music she helped create with Keiko, Shinobu and Matsudaaahh!!
If by posting this fan page I can introduce the capricious grooves of this unique band to even just a few fellow music lovers, then I'll feel it has been more than worth my while.

So, if you like the sounds you have heard when you entered this page, or if you are a SJM fan already, please visit periodically as I will be sharing facts, pictures, interviews, links, and any other interesting files about these four gifted ladies from Japan.  Or, you can subscribe to this blog and you'll be updated whenever I add something new and decisively cool.

Please feel free to contact me if you love SJM, too!  I won't pretend to know everything about them, and actually look forward to hearing some new stories, see new pics, or any other interesting bits of information!
