This contest winning electro remix of MC Chris' "PW/OM" ("Party without Me") was a lot of fun to create and has gotten quite a lot of positive feedback and attention. Out of hundreds of entries, MC Chris chose my remix as the best overall and it even got the approval from electro/hip-hop pioneer, Egyptian Lover.

I was provided with a single accapella track of MC Chris' vocals from the original tune off of the album "Dungeon Master of Ceremonies". Everything else was created from scratch. Many people have asked me what equipment and programs I used to create this remix so I have decided to share with you a list of what gear was used in the remix.
I used some old-school analog equipment including the world famous original 808 drum machine.

Some more modern digital/analog sound modules/synths were used as well.

For the video game sounds, I created original 8-bit melodies using a modified Nintendo Entertainment System that is controlled via midi as well as sampling some old-school video game sounds from vinyl such as the Joust and Defender samples.

The software I used to create and produce the remix was Cubase SX3. Several plug-ins were used to modify and effect many of the sounds in the mix including all of the vocoders on the vocal tracks.
And… of course, I couldn't have done it without my trusty assistant engineer R2.

Sworn Productions, in cooperation with Spin Move Records has joined forces to bring you this exclusive remix of Amy Kuney's, "So Help Me God". It was a pleasure to work with such a talented young singer / songwriter as Amy Kuney and with her producer / ceo of Spin Move Records, Peter Barker.
