We interviewed this band about a month ago and we present the video to you with a clip from one of their performances! Check out Hideous Pink for more information!
We got a lot of great submissions and we are processing them now. We will be contacting many of the musicians who submitted music with an artist release form as well as more information on airplay. Thanks to everyone who submitted and supporting Sykoradio!
Music Submissions Open for from 15 JUNE to 21 JUNE
Current mood: annoyed
Hi there,
Though we haven't completely gotten caught up with all the background stuff (mainly because people continue to send us submissions even though we aren't excepting submissions) it has died down enough that we can re-open submissions for the next week only. We will take the best music and add it to our blog and bulletin and interview some of those groups as well.
We are accepting music submissions from
15 JUNE 2007 until 21 JUNE 2007
. We are accepting submissions in all genres EXCEPT Pop Country, Christian, Southern or Gangsta Rap, Jazz, and Power Noize. We don't have the DJs to play these genres so don't waste your time and ours.
To submit music via Myspace do the following: Send a message with the Subject INTERESTED BAND
Provide the following information
+ Genre
+ Location
+ "30 second commercial" AKA in about one paragraph make us interested in your music. Don't be an ass and talk about the things you think make your music special
+ Provide a link to where we can listen and download your music for rotation in our weekly airplay schedule.
If you can do all that then we will be able to hopefully get your music into the pipeline to be reviewed and more. If you don't do the few things we ask of you then we will just delete the message. We don't have time to babysit you, ask you for extra questions and all that. If you want us to play your music then send the needed info and don't spam us. Make us WANT to play your music and help you get more coverage.
On a side note, we are going to start running blogs and cross-posts on our website and featuring more video interviews on our sites. Our first interview will be posted sometime this weekend with the band Hideous Pink a band from Columbus, OH who we interviewed last month. There is also going to be more background information put out on the people who run Sykoradio so you all can get a general idea of how chaotic it can be and what has gone into doing what we do.

We are going to be doing some major overhauls in the next few weeks and we need to add some new DJs to our playlist. We are currently seeking DJs in the following genres :
Talk Radio (non-religious) Industrial & Noise Goth & Synthpop Hip-Hop & Underground Rap R&B & Jazz Punk & Ska Electronica
To be a DJ you must have experience with Shoutcast Streaming (preferrably with Spacial Audio Broadcaster - SAM3 or Winamp); must be able to do your show bi-monthly; must have a good quality microphone and speakerphone. Your radio show must run 60 minutes minimum every two weeks and you must be willing and able to do "field" interviews with local bands or interviews via speakphone with bands. We need people who are professional, adaptable, and consistent who want to share their music with others!
Send a small photo, 10 sec audio soundbyte, sample playlist, and short personal description/resume to sykoradio@gmail.com. As always, serious inquiries only. Don't waste our time and we won't waste yours.
We, the Staff of Sykoradio.net are about three weeks behind in processing new band requests and adding them to our rotation. So until otherwise stated we aren't accepting any new music requests for ANY artists.
However, we will be featuring many of the bands that have submitted their music. Check back soon for a new profile and site design and new DJs and more interactive shows!
