Palin’s Pastor Problems. . .Hubba Hubba!!
Category: News and Politics
God is very important to us Americans, I mean we all have just about the Best God around, that is as long as you agree with me. So conbeciles made a big deal about Obama's Pastor now its time to turn the other cheek and enjoy this little tidbit from Harper's:
Palin and Her Pastors: "Those that die without Christ have a horrible, horrible surprise"
By Ken Silverstein and Sebastian Jones
During the 2008 campaign the beliefs of various candidates' pastors has attracted a great deal of attention, especially the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, as well as John Hagee, who endorsed John McCain. So now seems a good time to examine the viewpoints of Sarah Palin's two most recent pastors, as expressed in their sermons.
Since becoming governor in 2006, Palin has attended the Juneau Christian Center, where Mike Rose serves as senior pastor. Her previous pastor was David Pepper of the Church on the Rock in Palin's hometown of Wasilla — a church that "was kind of a foundation for her."
Of the two, Rose is certainly the more politically active, both locally and in the broader evangelical community (with ties to Hagee's Christians United for Israel, for example). Pepper, it should be noted, is outspoken on the massacre of Native Americans, slavery and racism, all of which he terms "sins" that still cast a long shadow on minority communities.
Sebastian Jones found links to many sermons of Rose and Pepper. The excerpts below come from his review.
Mike Rose, senior pastor at Juneau Christian Center
From a April 27, 2008 sermon: "If you really want to know where you came from and happen to believe the word of God that you are not a descendant of a chimpanzee, this is what the word of God says. I believe this version."
From a July 8, 2007 sermon: "Those that die without Christ have a horrible, horrible surprise."
From a July 28, 2007 sermon: "Do you believe we're in the last days? After listening to Newt Gingrich and the Prime Minister of Israel and a number of others at our gathering, I became convinced and I have been convinced for some time. We are living in the last days. These are incredible times to live in."
David Pepper, senior pastor at Church on the Rock:
From an November 25, 2007 sermon: "The purpose for the United States is… to glorify God. This nation is a Christian nation."
From a October 28, 2007 sermon: "God will not be mocked. I don't care what the ACLU says. God will not be mocked. I don't care what atheists say. God will not be mocked. I don't care what's going on in the nation today with so much horrific rebellion and sin and things that take place. God will not be mocked. Judgment day is coming. Where do you stand?"
From a October 28, 2007 sermon: "Just giving in a little bit is a disastrous thing…You can't serve both man and God. It is one or the other."
Christian conservatives like Gary Bauer, Tony Perkins and James Dobson have hailed McCain's selection of Palin. Dobson, the head of Focus on the Family, vowed earlier this year to never support McCain. However, within hours of Palin's addition to the GOP ticket, he had changed his tune, saying, he had "not been so excited about a political candidate since Ronald Reagan." Given the viewpoints expressed by Palin's pastors, it's easy to understand why Christian conservatives are so excited.
Note: Many hours of Mike Rose's sermons are available here. Numerous sermons of David Pepper's can be reviewed here.
Summitted for your approval and reasoned discourse. . .

Hubba Hubba!!!
Category: News and Politics
Two Blogs, count 'em, Two Blogs, albeit brief, for the price of one. Who am I kidding, if we had to pay for MyCrud we wouldn't be here, now would we?
Ok, Ok, lets get to the first one, a little ditty I'd like to call:
GOD'S LOVE
So like that Reverend Dobson guy had one of his minions call upon the Faithful to pray for bad weather at the gathering of heathens. If you want to read a full text of the Proclamation of America's current wannabe Nehemiah Scudder click it here!!!
Funny thing about God, the weather in Denver was picture perfect. Currently Hurricane Gustav threatens the Republican Convention.
So, whom does God really love? And whom is He really trying to get a message out to how his Creation is affecting the environment that his Creation (us) was entrusted with?
Just gotta love that God Gal/Guy, no matter what your Creed is.
Hubba, Hubba!!
Wait for it, wait for it . . .
Blog II
Reflections of a Convention and a Choice.
Wow!! Could the Democratic gone off any better? I mean 18 million Cracks and the Believers of the One, pbuh, all on the same page?
Fired Up? Ready to Go?
Can a Shady get an Amen???
I'll admit it, this Grown Man openly wept several times!!!
Then, as expected, that Olde Cranky White Establishment 'Its my turn' Party Hack, J. Sidney McCain went and ruined the whole love, true love, lovefest by announcing Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate.
So now, albeit with no small regret, I have to announce that PhatShady is officially endorsing and supporting the Republican ticket, that's right, all my Obama shirts and other paraphernalia is officially up for bid on Ebay as we speak!
Why, Shady, Why? You might be asking. . .
'Cause, she's like, a TOTALLY HOT MILF Dude!!!!
'Nuff said.
Hubba Hubba!!!
Good Night and Good Luck!

Biden Unleashed!!!
Category: News and Politics
Sorry, don't have a lot of time today, on my way to San Francisco, I have to attend a training early tomorrow morning, and Shady needs to get his drink on in North Beach in order to be ready for the learning to follow in the morning. So you will have to police your selves. Remember its much more polite to say, "I feel you are an uninformed idiot," rather than, "You uninformed moronic idiot."
'Nuff Said, now on to the main business at hand.
Oh Happy Day, The One, phuh, has annointed Senator Joseph Biden, or Pappa Joe, as he will soon be known on conbecilic networks and radio programs, as his Sergeant at Arms. Sergeant at Arms is formally known as Vice President. A rather benign post till Darth Cheney and his Chamber of Horrors came to town.
Pappa Joe will bring the Mean!! We finally got somebody who is going to wear these conbeciles out once and for all. Bring on Mittens with his Magic Underwear, he won't even get in the door to Papa Joe's Big Playhouse!!!
And old Senile J. Sydney McCain? Forgeddabuttit!!! Sydney will still be trying to remember which house he left his stash of depends while Pappa Joe wears him out like a chinese acrobat on the uneven bars!!!
So go get a damned shirt already bitches!!!

I want an O-Jo shirt now!!!
One's not enough I want another!!!
Now Just How Sexy is That?????
We're having a Good Night!!
And Very Good Luck!!!

Tropic Thunder: Updated Update!!!
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities
Update: I have seen the movie twice now and the scene for the pics I took was cut from the film!!! LOL, guess I'll have to wait for the DVD!!! You can see one snippet during the credits where Jack Black is chasing some girl.
Someone below asked about the Soundtrack, its pretty good but doesn't have all the songs like Low by Flo-rida, which has quickly become a Shady Favorite. Lots of common Vietnam Movie Favorites though.
Favorite quote from the movie, (and I probably don't have this right).
(While they are talking to Ben Stiller's Agent about the spending the insurance money. )
Exec: Lots of Goodies
Flunky: Goodie store is now open
Exec: Swinging low Player!!!
Flunky: Way past the knees!!!
Last summer when I was on Kauai we came across a movie set for the new movie, Tropic Thunder:

I haven't seen the movie yet, but it looks pretty good, even the 'tards are protesting, its so offensive!!
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080811/film_nm/boycott_disability_dc_1
Anyways. . .here are some photos I took of the set, there are more in my photo folder named, Tropic Thunder, duh!

Enjoy the film, I'll be going Wed or Thurs. . .

McCain/Clinton, The Gap Narrows!!
Category: News and Politics
Earlier today I was posting on a conservative blog that McCain supporters were starting to sound a lot like Hillary supporters, then the Good Lord sent me this nugget:
Analysis: Echoes of Clinton's campaign in race
If you don't have time to read the whole article here's some excerpts:
McCain is running on experience — the candidate who bears the scars of war and cancer and the wisdom of long public service. With McCain, the catch word is judgment; experience might be too close in definition to age. Most recently his campaign has been fretting about Obama's media coverage — the entourage that followed him abroad, the sappy flatteries from television commentators. It posted a Web video, "Obama Love," featuring clips of star-struck pundits and correspondents.
Clinton and her strategists might want to seek some credit
And:
And, like McCain now, her campaign chafed at the press that Obama received.
But lest Obama and McCain don't recall, here's a reminder: She lost.
But it gets better, sooo much better!!:
"In a sense, he's running Hillary 2.0," said John Feehery, a Republican strategist and one-time aide to former House Speaker Dennis Hastert. "But he can make the case this will be a more successful version because it's a general election and he doesn't have any of Hillary's baggage, especially with independent voters."
He doesn't have any baggage? Blogga Puh-lease!!
Thank You Jesus!!!

Return of the Shady, well, not really. . .
Category: News and Politics
Moin Froinds, Moin Froinds, Greetings and Salutations!!
I'm not really back, just dropping in to update and say hi this weekend. I passed the first part of my test but missed the second half by 1 point, aw shucks! Oh, well, better luck in November.
"But Shady," you're probably saying, " you said you'd be back in 2 months and its been more like 6. WTF?"
Well in the meantime I got a transfer/promotion of sorts and now work in a location that doesn't have unfettered Internet access. Also, I'm a lot busier, which is a good thing. So I can't sit idly by starting blog wars and insulting ignorance, which, as you'll remember, is my true calling in this world.
We could have regular access if it wasn't for the evil filtering program called Websence. We could have been granted full access to the Internet by our Evil Assistant Director (who basically started out as an office assistant before the dawn of time and is the last idiot left standing in the pantheon of fools who run the agency) but she is beyond obtuse and won't allow it. Since I share an office with two others I have been reluctant to hack websense for the 20-30 free minutes I have a day because as we all know, Loose Lips Sink Ships, and Shady needs his Filthy Lucre to keep him well oiled with Jameson and Michelob Ultra!!
But enough about me, lets talk about you, how do you feel about me? Lol!!
Seriously, I've been getting a few messages and I appreciate all the birthday greetings from all of you. So I thought that catching up was the right thing to do. I'm thinking that I might just write a weekend blog on Saturday mornings, sort of a recap of the week that was. Also, my Conservative Buddies wanted to know if I was still "mesmerized" by Obama, pbuh.
The short answer is Yes! Obama is, and always was, a politician. His recent tacking to the center was to be expected. I love it when people try to bait me with his FISA vote and I ask them, "Well wasn't it the right thing to do?" Try it; it really confuses the shit out of them. As for Iraq, he has always advanced a responsible withdrawal, if you want to quibble on semantics, that's fine, every one needs a hobby.
In closing I'd like to say to Conservatives and Liberals alike:
IT'S AN OBAMANATION BITCHES! YOU'LL SOON BE LIVING IN IT!!!
Larry Hunter, PhD, gets it. Why don't you?
Good Night and Good Luck!
Ps—like my new car?

(You say Mid Life Crisis, like its a Bad Thing!!!)
