her gift

my Dearest gave me a gift tonight,
a song and words of love and assurance.
my Love gave me big smiles on my face tonight,
and I knew from her voice how she feels,
through turmoil and struggle she held out her hand.
right here, she's my lady, in this place she holds me firm
this new love she has shown, is so precious to me.
this Love is a gift, I will not give up,
it is a treasure to be held and savored,
a wine to be drunk,
a passion to enjoy.

trying to find words to explain,
just what she means to me. 
Trying to find the phrase to turn,
the lyric to write, that could shed light
on how she makes me feel.
to be just a small part of her world,
is all the world to me.
to feel the tiniest breath from her mouth,
is like winds of emotion to me,
to hear her say my name,
is like heavenly voices to me.
if I could, I'd send the angels to her,
