It fucking pours...
Found out today my phone has been stolen and sold...
It's been missing since Sunday night, when it apparently fell into my roommate's laundry bag. Then it fell out at the laundry room. Some jackass picked it up and sold it to some other jackass who was willing to sell it back to us for $40. Now I can't get him to answer the damned thing. Write if you want more details.

| My baby's growing up too quickly!!!!
The sitter sent me a text today that said two simple little words that hit me like a ton of bricks...
Solid poop.
Normally those two words wouldn't stir such emotion, but it makes me realize how quickly LJ is growing. I'm not ready for this... She's not supposed to get big. She's supposed to stay cute and adorable and a baby forever.
Now that I've gotten that little bit of irrationality out of my system... | ..>

| Sometime during the day on Friday (Oct. 26th) our apartment was broken into and we had several valuable things taken. The most valuable item was our fragile sense of security. Sadly, this isn't the first time something like this has happened. The first time, some bastard broke into Todd's car last summer and stole his cd player.
The most likely culprit is some crack hound/whore who needed a quick fix and figured they could get good money from someone else's goods. Obvious things were taken like computer parts, but also random things, like Todd's glasses case. WTF does someone need with another man's glasses case?
People make me sick. | ..>

Who wants a Halloween Party?

If i could organize a masquerade party for the 26th of October (Friday) at the Daisy Theater downtown, how many takers would i have? Tickets would average somewhere around $35 per person; $50 per couple, and would likely have to be purchased in advance (so i can pay for the venue). This is strictly hypothetical at the moment, i'm just trying to get a feel for whether or not i should pursue this adventure.

BIG UPDATE!!!

i had a healthy 6lbs 9oz. 20 1/4 inches baby girl Saturday night at 8:17.
i only had 5 hours of labor. i got discharged this morning.
They kept her, because Saturday when they fed her, she had a brief moment when she stopped breathing and then again later that night. So they wanted to run tests and all that crap. She looks fabulous and she's doing a lot better. She took her bottle well earlier today without complications and if she keeps that up they will take the iv's off tonight.

Update: The Sequel

So i ended up at the hospital last night around 10:30...
When we left the house my contractions were ranging from 4 - 8 minutes apart. Apparently they only count the stronger ones, because on the monitor i was only ranging 8 minutes apart with no increase. i had a fluid drip and they took some blood, and finally sent me home about 1:30ish this morning. According to the Dr. i had not changed since my last internal exam. Still 3cm dilation. Still a thin cervix. Still with the bulging waters. Nothing new.
So basically i'm back to square one.

Update

Things might be progressing a bit faster than i expected/wanted/needed them too.
i went in for my 2nd NST today (i'm having them twice weekly now) and the nurse i see for that told me that i was contracting frequently, but irregularly (anywhere from 2 - 7 minutes apart). She told me to keep track of them. She also decided to check my progress since i was 1cm dilated at my last OB app. i'm now 3cm, my cervix is thin, and my waters are "bulging".
When she was done checking me, her glove had a light hint of blood, but honestly, i think she just scratched me a little. The check was definitely discomforting. She said she could feel my baby's head while she was prodding around in there.
i've had approximately 30 contractions since i started logging them at 9:32 this morning. None of which has been extremely discomforting; they mostly put pressure on my ribs, but a couple have put pressure on my lower belly/bladder region. The nurse said if any other symptoms came up to call/come in.

OMG... OW!

So, any of you who have been following my story line know that i'm a first time mom and along with that come first time experiences... For example:
Last night i had my first honest to God Braxton Hicks contraction, not just the simple tightening of my uterus.... Noooooooooo. that would be too easy.
No, last night it felt like someone had my mid to lower back in a vice, crushing it to bits. Add to that extreme pressure on my belly (similar to the tightening uterus routine), and it woke me from a dead sleep about 8 something. First thing i did was call my mother who proceeded to 3way us in to the hospital. i told them my symptoms and they said to drink lots of water and to come in if it kept up. So, i drank water, ate a light dinner and paced around my apartment. i don't think i've ever been so happy to have the pain from anything stop.
Mind you, this whole time Todd has been at work and is completely unaware of events at home... So i took it easy till about 10ish when he got home and we went to bed. Long about 3 something this morning i woke up to the discomfort of another BH (thank the deities this one wasn't half as bad as the first, unfortunately it was accompanied by the nasty burps i had with my food poisoning back in Feb.). So, i quietly climbed out of bed, went to the kitchen for more water, picked up my house copy of "What to Expect" and headed to the head. i shut the door so the light wouldn't bother Todd, which annoys the cats to no end (both of whom push the door open at separate intervals). A couple of minutes later... "Honey, are you ok?"
So that was my night... Just thought i'd rant a little.

Because i'm just that bored... TAG!

i never do these things...but i'm just that bored i guess...

1. i'm a member of 29 different groups on MySpace, at least 4 of which i most likely wouldn't admit to under most circumstances.
2. According to MySpace, i have 238 friends. i probably don't know more than a third of them.
3. i like making AMV's (anime music videos), but currently have no place to post them. They are also extremely time consuming.
4. i make better friends with guys which is likely due to the fact that i had only brothers growing up.
5. i still look for people from my past. Nuff said.
6. my alcohol of choice (when not pregnant) is Disaronno Amaretto.
