So, tonight the film I helped create (Writing and Acting) for the 48 Hour Film Project won two awards.
Best Costumes - which I wore but didn't have much to do with. That was all thanks to Joe Rios and John Michael Martinez who pretty much raided their closets.
Best Acting - As one of the leads I'm pretty much gonna take as much credit as I can get away with on this one. Woot! Its certainly going into my resumè. YARR!!!
So here it is in all its glory, I present:
BACK UP Be warned: Contains some harsh language and crude humor.
Well, I'm now married. I have just gotten safely home from one monstrous two weeks of honeymooning. My email seems to have been hacked and I can't access it at all.
Meaning:
1) I've started a new email account after having the old one for 10+ years. 2) I've no access to my old address book. 3) I need to start my new address book.
I am not posting my new email address here though so I need a little participation on your part: Send me a message here on MySpace with your email address. I will email you from my new email address so that you can have my new email on file.
Feel free to DELETE my old email address: tenebros @ yahoo . com
I can't read it, I won't see anything you've emailed me in the last three weeks or so and I'm never using it again. Contact me here or through txt message if you know my cell so that I can get my contact list back in order.
The Big News
Current mood: ecstatic
Category: Life
So, here's the big news:
I'm getting married.
On the Saturday before Christmas I took The Skirt out to our favorite park where we walked around till we got to our favorite spot to sit and rest at. I got down on one knee in the rocks (ouch!) and told her how much I loved her and why I loved her and didn't let up until she was crying.
They were happy tears of course. Of course, she could see that I was holding a ring box too, so ... well ... anyhow ... the point is: I asked her if she would be my wife and she said yes.
I, totally, rock.
I mean, I got her a rock.
Whatever, the point is ... we'll be getting hitched in July and then take a big ol' honeymoon, the details of which would make any girl jealous and are going to make my girl melt.
What is this? Its a movie I wrote and starred in for the 48 Hour Film Experience in San Antonio. Its directed by Mike Cantu and edited by his brother Mark, who happens to be the director of the other movie I'm in, "Echo."
So what now? Well, this movie is up for the Audience Choice Award and if you'd like to see it win all you have to do is go to the 48 Hour Film Experience Website. On the most recent news postings you'll see a link to view all the entries (do you really need to watch the others?) and a link to vote for your favorite (this one).
Then what? Well, they will announce the winners of the judging and the Audience awards on Tuesday evening.
The Audience award sounds fishy to me. Well, yes, its basically a huge popularity contest: not who has the best film but who has the most friends with internet access. Either way, there's something to be said for vote stuffing so repost this blog if you want and get all your subscribers to vote too!
