General Update

It's been awhile, so here's a quick update.  According to my doctor, I am round about 24 or 25 weeks pregnant, depending on if you go by the menstral cycle method to determine the date or if you use the ultrasound measurements.  Either way, I'm due sometime in the middle of August.  Joy!  Long hot summer looking like a beached whale.  Really looking forward to that.   Just kidding. I love being pregnant, except the whole very forgetful issue I seem to be experiencing.

Now for the sex of the baby.  Yes, we did decide we wanted to know what we're having when we had the ultrasound done.  Makes for an easier transition I guess if you know in advance.  Most of you already know I was hoping for a girl, at least to balance my household a little more evenly.  Well, guess I'm not meant to raise girls right now, cause we're having a boy.  And this little bugger made extra sure we knew during the ultra sound as he spread his legs very wide for the technician and us to see.   This will also make it easier on the boys already in the house.  They don't have to deal with little sister drama just yet.

Everything else is going wonderfully.  I've been traveling again for my job, quite a bit, but at least I have someone there who's willing to come with so all of us can experience new cities and whatnot together.  Makes travel a little easier.  I will be in Detroit next week for a conference, without a computer, and without my family, so I will be a little crazy I think.  Should make for fun times.  I also have plans on traveling to Billings, MT the end of June for another conference and hopefully I can find the extra cash needed to buy honey a ticket so he can come with.  We have been to Montana before and we loved it so we're hoping to go again.

That's about it for now.  Oh, and I will eventually update my site with more pics and different profile pics, once honey can make up his mind on which pic he likes best, so look for that in the near future.  Cheers all.

Time for an announcement!!!

Alrighty all, time for me to make an announcement.  No, it's not concerning the case.  Any of those announcements you can find over at the Free Jammie forums.  This is a hugely personal announcement for me (and my family) and considering everyone close to me already knows anyway, I figured it's time to make it public, at least before my case blows up in the media again.  Wait for it... wait for it...

Just kidding.  My honey and I are expecting a baby!!!  That's right, we're roughly 14 weeks pregnant with another munchkin expected to arrive around the 20th of August.  We waited this long to make it public due to the unfortunate circumstances that happened with the last attempt.

Now, on for the guesses of the sex and/or attempts to deliver the baby on specific dates.  My youngest's birthday in on Aug. 28th, so we're already aiming for that date as he would be psyched to share a birthday with his younger brother or sister, or so he says now.  He's very dramatic most days so his opinion might change.  A co-worker of mine has her birthday on Aug. 27th, so that date is open too.  Anyone else have any dates you would like for me to aim for?  No guarantees as this child will come when he or she wants, I'm sure.  As for the sex of the baby, we won't know until I'm about 5 or 6 months along, but I will let y'all know the details when I have them.

I’ve Been Tagged!!!

I'm only doing this because my honey tagged me.  Anything I say here will be held against him and not me .

Once you have been tagged you have to write a blog with 10 weird, random things, facts, habits, or goals about yourself. At the end choose 10 people to be tagged, listing their names and why you chose them. Don't forget to leave them a comment (tag, you're it) and to read your blog. You can't tag the person who tagged you. Since you can't tag me back, let me know when you've posted your blog so I can see your answers.

1.  I have an enormous oral fixation.  I have been a nail biter for as long as I can remember.  I've made huge strides in fixing this, but I still bite my thumb nails, and it looks like I'm sucking my thumb when I do this.  I also smoke, chew on pens, pencils and pen caps, and I love sucking on mints and hard candies.  What would Freud say about me? :P

2.  My musical tastes run the spectrum from one end to the other, except for rap.  Yes Dan, I even listen to country now.

3.  I come from a large family with 5 brothers and 1 sister.  I have always told myself I didn't want such a big family for myself, but I was wrong.  We're currently trying to add to our family of 3 boys, ages 13, 11, and 2.  A girl would be nice.

4.  There are 2 reasons why I allow the cats to remain in the house, although they are the bitchiest animals you will ever meet.  First, I made a promise to a 4 year old who decided to hold me to that promise 6 years later.  Second, without counting the 2 female cats and 1 female dog,  I would be the only female in a house with 4 dramatic overly masculine males.  It seemed the only way to sorta even the ratio in the house.

5.  I have allergies that can hit me at anytime of year.  Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, doesn't matter.  When my allergies decide to hit, they smack me like a runaway freight train and I look like I've been constantly bawling or like someone beat me up for a straight week.

6.  I have a very good friend, one of my best friends actually, I've known for about 5 years now, yet I've never met him in person.  We met online in a Yahoo game room and have been friends ever since.

7.  I am a daddy's girl and I'm proud to admit it.  My Dad would be the first one to tell you I've been a daddy's girl from the day I was born.

8.  I'm not a jealous person.  Jealousy is a wasted emotion and I can use that energy elsewhere, like on lust :P

9.  I've made the mistake of thinking I can remain friends with my ex's.  I've found out that unless we've had children together, I will not be talking to you.  Period.  End of discussion.

10.  When I get married, I will not have bridesmaids, I will have bridesmen.  Yes, two of the people I want to stand up for me at my wedding are males.

My Sister

This is a personal message to my sister, who I know reads my blog religiously, even if she won't admit it. 

First, the reference to my mood has to do with the fact I did see some of my niece's friend's comments on her page (before you decided to delete me from her friends list) and the nickname I gave her, the very specific one, is still being used by some of her friends.  I find it heartwarming it's still being used so I set my mood to that effect.  I wasn't commenting on her current nickname given to her by her friends, as that I had nothing to do with.  Too bad you can't wait to see why something is done before you jump overboard.

Second, you need to learn to act more adult like.  This attitude of yours is really childish and it's too bad you cannot act like an adult instead of a petulant child throwing a temper tantrum because things are not going your way.  Yes, I will fully admit to being a Daddy's girl and I will not apologize for it.  This is no reason for you to act the way you do and you are showing your true colors with your pettiness.  Get over it already and grow up.  It's that simple.

Third, I love all my nieces and nephews, including yours.  I will admit I am not as included in your children's lives as much as I would like (your decision, not mine), but that doesn't change the fact eventually they will be adults making their own decisions, including if they want me in their lives.

Lastly, I wish you nothing but the best.  Just because you choose to act the way you do doesn't change the fact you are my sister, the only sister I was blessed with through birth.  Granted, most days I don't like you very much, but I still love you as my sister.

Now, respond as you will, but remember, everything you do is seen by all, including your own family.

Lots of News, No Time

I have lots of things going on right now, but no time to blog about them.  There have been many new developments with my case, but please visit Free Jammie forums to read up on the case announcements.  Also, due to the intervention of the DOJ, more publicity seems to have been garnered as of late.  So, welcome to all the new visitors to my page.  Let me know what y'all think and I hopefully will have more time to post later.  Oh, one final note, I will be involved in a canadian documentary concerning these cases, so a director will be at my house this Saturday for filming.  Fun times folks.  Talk to y'all soon.

Mundane stuff

As for here, my blog will now go back to the mundane musings I have a tendancy to spill out every now and then.  I might even include some of my kid stories that tend to show you're not the only ones living with little insane beings.  Later, for now.
