headed west

Its official. As of around 7pm today, I will no longer be a resident of Philadelphia. I'm glad to leave, but sad at the same time. My first year and a half here sucked ass. The past 3 months have been awesome. Wish I would have met certain people just a bit earlier... I may not have been moving as far then.

Thankfully, I don't mind driving somewhat far distances, so I'll be back in Bucks County from time to time, including this coming weekend. Gotta take care of stuff in Center City in the afternoon, then I'll head up there til Saturday or sunday depending on crash space. So find something to entertain me... I'll have some time to kill.

And if all goes according to my evil plan... I may be back before you know it.

Its now Thursday... and I've worked a grand fucking total of 3.5 hrs... I'll prolly work 8 hrs tomorrow... totaling 11.5 hrs... yeah, just over $100 this week. ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS! And to top that... the boss is going on vacation next week. Sure J mentioned us doing something at a job site that I've never been to involving lawn mowers and weed wackers.. but wtf! So I'm envisioning 25-30 hrs next week... My free time will be spent raping and pillaging or working for Charlie... or both.

I can't survive like this.. time to go old school.

hell of a monday...

at the last minute, I decided to drive to Mount Joy last nite for karaoke... yes, was that bored. It worked out for the best cuz 1) had a great time and 2) I found out that I had to be in Lancaster first thing in the morning anyway (which ended up being more like 11am cuz I was up til after 6am playing Brody Poker). The boss wanted me to drive some documents to a buyer. He bought 3 friggin buildings, yes... whole buildings. To be torn down, transported and put up somewhere else. Saw the bottom line on the invoice (who ever saw an invoice for buildings before?) and it was up there.

So I drove my ass the 3 hrs north to Berwick, PA. Exactly... I didn't know where it was either. Then drove back to Lancaster after being in Berwick for literally 2 minutes or less. Then drove home to Philly... yeah... I drove more than I slept last night. ouch.

So now I'm gonna sit around til around 9 or 10, then pass out.

I'm sitting at home bored out of my friggin mind! Gonna hit up Blockbuster for a shitty movie or something. Waiting on a pizza I ordered. Wow... I think the only human contact I will have tonite is the pizza guy and the blockbuster girl, go me!

Another mini-trip to LTown last night. I actually rented a Philly Car Share car cuz mine's still broken and the work truck was acting a bit skiddish. Was well worth it. Fun night at Da Bar.

I'm working in Philly this week at 8th and Market, about 50 feet below the surface... yet I still get a cell signal... Its kinda weird and a bit unnerving to be surrounded by a bunch of guys with cutting torches: fire, brimstone and smoke everywhere. I spend almost half my day moving the truck from parking spot to parking spot or driving around looking for a spot. Damn PPA.

Came home, watched Rambo (not too bad) and just finished eating the garlic oyster alfredo w/ spinach and mushrooms. Still got the ol' skills. The sauce was done before the pasta, lol. Yummy! Sure beats the fast food I've been mostly forced to eat over the past month.

I have to be asleep by 9pm tonite (THAT SUX) cuz we're getting to work around 6:30am.

still working in lancaster, blah. Looks like the NY job is a bust too. Which sux cuz that was going to be my cash cow.

Still cleaning... 4 bags o' stuff so far... most of which is not mine.

Feeling a bit better today. Still have a slight cough, but not the hacking.

Drove back from Mount Joy, got home around 5:45. Took a nap, woke up at 8am... called PECO.

Got my payments deferred... paying my past due over 17 months.

Go me.

it smells nice :)

We’re working in a shut down candle factory. I’m used to furniture factories and old department stores. This place smells great. Its like every room has some aromatic candle burning. There’s still some candles here and there. I’m gonna grab some and bring them home. The boss bought everything in the building... I don’t think he’ll mind.

Be back in Philly after a 4 hour drive and an hour long train ride Saturday evening...

small towns etc.

For my job, I travel to small towns all over the place. Run down little towns that have had huge factories shut down. I’m the guy that comes in after they shut down and buys stuff that th factory doesn’t need anymore, mainly huge electrical equipment (well, my boss buys it, I just prep it for moving). I’m going to start a bit of a photo diary of my work. It may be a bit depressing, but at the same time it may be interesting. I’m heading to Saugerties, NY late tonite.
