In case you havent heard I bought a Mac Book yesterday! Effectionately dubbed the Blac Book it has served me well in the less than 24 hours I've had it. I cant put it down. How awesome is it that I'm sitting on the lawn of my school typing this up? I should have done this a long time ago. w00t!

On my way home from school today I turned onto Division, a small street by my house, and decided to accelerate hard from the intersection. Between my yells of "Woohoo!" inside my helmet I look down at the speedometer, 50, 60, 75 almost to 80 and then I see a Sheriff pull up on a side street! I immediately rolled off the gas and eased on the brakes flying by him at 60ish in the 35 zone I was scared shitless, turned on my street, and raced to the garage from there. All I was thinking was HIDE BEFORE HE REALIZES WHAT HAPPENED AND COMES AFTER YOU!!! I ran inside took off my gear and had a good laugh. It figures that the one time I decide to have a bit of fun theres an officer of the law waiting for me
And so it begins; my life as a college student started this week. Yes, I'm amazing, I know. It has amazed me how not difficult my classes are yet. A week has gone by, people still dont have their books, and nobody cares. (Attention High School Students! All that stuff you hear about "You wont get away with that in college!" is a bunch of bullshit. You can get away with much much more!) Along with that suprise I was happily unaware of the leftist liberal extremist opinions being lectured on, even at the small community college that I attend. Yesterday we were Bush bashing in English 101, talking about Machiavelli and somehow we got to how President Bush started hurricane Katrina. I'm not trying to downplay the disaster but I really think that anyone who expects timely assistance of any kind from the federal government deserves exactly what they get. This opinion is formed from observations taken before President Bush was even thinking about running for office.
Today in Health we got to watch a movie sponsored by the ACLU about the benefits of a socialized medical system in California and were even encouraged to call our local lawmakers so we could motivate them to make it happen by our professor. I asked my professor (a Vietnam war veteran) if he has ever had to deal with the Veterans Affairs health insurance or hospitals. When he said he had I asked "Why would I want to have to deal with that every time I went to the doctors office?" He admitted my point. The video also failed to adress the problem of illegal immigrants who come here and then have a kid so they can stay. They arent citizens so that means they wont have to pay into the system but theyll need healthcare so where is that money going to come from? Neither did it mention the state of our Social Security system which in principle is the same type of program. Lets not even mention the rediculousness of the idea that when we give the government money it will be spent wisely, therefore cutting costs. Alas its hard to be an intelligent, sane, capitalist, American college student.
Goin to a trackday and I'm gonna get ma-a-arried

A lot has happened since I last wrote a blog. No I'm not getting married. Sam has been out here in CA for the summer working at Clos Pepe Vinyard. She is incredible. Friday I leave for two trackdays in Pahrump Nevada. Spring Mountain Motorsports Park is going to be great. Hotter than hell but great. Wish me luck!
This past week and half has been dedicated to getting bikes and my truck ready to hit the track. I'll be bringing The Beemer. Pete is bringing his FZ6 and letting me ride his Aprilia. Hopefully well have better luck with it this time! Crashing is not on the menu. I even bought a one piece set of racing leathers! Its pretty cool, really cements the idea that I'm into riding on the racetrack to reality.
Last week I did a marathon work stint at the Lompoc Flower Festival. 6 out of 7 nights in a week of graveyard shifts is tough.
What else is new,
Oh I'm officially a college student! I will be attending Allan Hancock College full time in the fall. No major yet, just feeling my way around, hoping for a direction soon.
Next weekend Sam and I do the Tour de California.. Thats going to be a trip of epic proportions :D
My truck remains unnamed. I could use some suggestions.
Hopefully I'll have some pics for you guys soon. Post some replies to motivate me to put them up!

The track was a little rough so God decided to sand it. Unfortnunatly for us that meant our second day was cut short. Too bad. It was fun while it lasted.

Sam, Pete, and I sent Chris "The Tillmanator™" a care package containing an old cigar, pirates treasure and candy wrapped in size 5x womens underwear. This is what sailors in the middle of the ocean do with such a gift.
