We are shooting to have all of our tracks recorded before the begenning of October. Then have it all mixed, pressed, and ready for your ears by end of October begenning of November. This will be our first CD it will be self titled "The Belts" relised independently and proudly.
Begenning of November we will be having a record relise party and will be the true start for The Belts. We encourage you to bring a friend.
Some other news with The Belts.
We will be teaming up with a few band and start all booking shows together as a unstopable punch of punk rock! You'll Love it!
Take a picture of your self wearing belts, lots of them, and send them to us. we'll love you forever.
We will have new songs on our myspace really soon, at least samples of what you can look foword to our new cd.

So as you all heard Rick moved to Utah a few month ago, so it was just me and mike in the band, and rick is movin back, the band is fucking back together.

Our band and us as people are going through a lot of changes and im excited to see where this band will end up in a year, i know were gona be huge, thats not a question, but the meens of getting there will be a whole nother story.

Hello.
Here are some updates: Practice today went well, we recorded a few songs and took a few pictures. they will be up soon.
We are going to practice a little more then were going to start booking some shows, bars, nothing big time. But I promise that our shows will be an experance that you’ll never forget. We have some crazy ideas, so were looking for some crazy fans and this all will work out perfectly.
I relised something today that me, rick, and mike all listen to a lot of music, have of our music we all listen to the same bands, and the other half we each have our own style and our own set of bands that we like. I think thats how we come together so well as a band, we just rock, with style thats so different and thats so the same. We are The Belts.

If you know of a photoprapher that would like to take some pictures of us sometime in the next few weeks while we practice and have a small photo shoot than please let me know (Leave a comment on this blog) We can get a little roudy, and there will be drinking involved. ?
Also we are getting a practice space in about 3 or 4 weeks... so we can start having a few more poeple over while we play, and well throw small shows. If anyone wants to help us build it that would be awesome, and we could use some help decorating it... posters, stickers, paint, markers, art, tagging, spray paint, wheat paste, anything goes.
In about 3 or 4 weeks well be ready to start playing a few shows or at least start planning to start booking some shows. If your in a band that sounds kind of like our style than lets book a show together.
Lets do this! Show us some support and tell us hi, make a drawing for us, take a picture of you wearinf a redickulous amount of belts and well love you forever.
I was walking and found a jesus guitar pick on the ground at starbucks. I take it as a sign to start playing the guitar more... now if I can only find some jesus drumsticks i would be in business.
Wrote a new songs yeaterday at practice, no name or lyrics yet, but an awesome beat and an amazingly awesome bass solo. This one should be finished and up soon, and when it's done you will know about it.

New songs, We are currantly in the middle of writing new songs, all together we have about 10 new ones in the making. That means a demo and shows are one step closer.

9:36 AM - let me tell you the story behind the song Blue Eyed Devil Girl and how our last practice went.

How Blue Eyed Devil Girl became a song is we were recording a few songs and inbetween songs we mess around and jam for a few minutes and this is how this came about. This song is a first take and was not planned at all, this is something you cant put a price on..
This is the belts! We flow, we have style, we make music.
Our practice was good, we recorded arsenal and punk rock girl each a few times.... we had a friend come over and help us record and it sounded great. Drank some beer, played some great music, got some pictures... it was a good day...
Later that night we injoyed some rain, thunder and lightning.
