Today's weather has a Blast of that good'ol Wyoming wind today... Not quite like Cheyenne or Casper, but pretty dang windy for Gillette... Constant 25mph winds with gusts up to 35 mph.... pretty decent...
Maintaining today at the Airport (On Call).... Prolly Watch some footbal, take a shower, was the fire truck, run into town between flights and get a haircut and a Pappa Murphy's Pizza, and study for something...
ATTENTION!!!: When I'm on call out at the airport on the weekends... FREE VIP Airport Tours!!!!....
Life's nuts these days and I've gathered a couple good quotes the other day in my leadership class and will post later today on another blog... but for now.... I hear the shower calling me from the ladies lockerroom!.. ;^)
Every Other weekend or so I surf the Internet to find some quotes that I think are cool, insightful, or wise or what ever... Sometimes I poste'm and sometimes I dont... but today ... I POST!... enjoy
"Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime."
"Before deciding to retire, stay home for a week and watch the daytime TV shows."
"Dreams say what they mean, but they don't say it in daytime language."
"No man has a good enough memory to make a successful liar." - Abraham Lincoln
"We cannot direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails."
"When you dig another out of their troubles, you find a place to bury your own."
"Establishing goals is all right if you don't let them deprive you of interesting detours." Doug Larson
"Ice hockey is a form of disorderly conduct in which the score is kept." Doug Larson
"Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep."
Okay, so I'm living in Wyoming and I didn't choose to be here, I more or less took opportunities as the came, "Carpe Dium", and now I'm in Gillette having a blast as a Airport Operations specialist...
I'm meeting lots of cool people, and picking the brains of those who know more than me...
So here's my beef, and it's only 10% fat... ;^D
Yeah, I work a lot of hours at the airport, make good money, and learn tons of stuff everyday, but I want to develop the rest of me too... but all this overtime and work keeps me at the airport 24/7... I understand we are short staffed and I'm the new guy and yadda yadda yadda (pay the dues)... but I feel like my after-work life is going backwards... I don't get much if anytime to see friends in casper, make friends in Gillette, and go places in wyoming (Adventure/Explore ... I wanna go find nature and treasures) but I've only gotten one weekend off for every two to three I have to work... and it's been about the same for working the late shift as ARFF (Airport Rescue and Firefight) for the commercial flights.. I've got so much I want to do, but I can't... I was doing tons of stuff in College and still worked a part time job and full time student, but this seems way worse..
There I'm done... I feel much better now... I think I'm gonna go drive the firetruck around and burn up some diesel and hose down some Wabbits...
Here is a blog worth responding to... I will edit and keep tally of favorite beers to the best of my abilities so let me have your fav beer(s) limit 10.
