About the Author
David Tyson was born in Tonopah, NV on December 12th, 1982. He grew up in the small town of Goldfield, NV. It was there he started to develop a love for writing. His first marriage was horrible and he filed for divorce in January 2006. He then went back to his first love, which was writing, in which the Fifth Age series was created. The first book, The Fifth Age Book I: The Quest for the Stone of Power, was published in May 2006.
David currently lives in Reno, Nevada and is working for Bally Technologies as a Software Engineer. He is continuing to write his Fifth Age series. He is married to his wonderful wife Jennifer and is soon to be a father.

Book I: The Quest for the Stone of Power
This blog I wrote last May on my personal profile. I will copy and paste it here.
Title: The Fifth Age Book I: The Quest for the Stone of Power
ISBN-10: 0595395341
ISBN-13: 978-0595395347
My book is finally on sale at Amazon.com. To find it just do a search for the main title of the series which is The Fifth Age. Just scroll down until you see the book "The Fifth Age Book I: The Quest for the Stone of Power" or you see David Tyson as the author. Also you can search all of Amazon.com for David Tyson and mine should be the first book.
The description of what the book is about is on the Amazon.com page. Also you can look at my pictures section on this myspace page to read the back cover. Remember this is the first book of a ten book series. Each book is going to have a different genre where this one is fantasy. The others book will be adventure, historical fiction, horror, sci fi and so on. However each book will be interconnected and follow this family during many generations and time periods as the fate of the world is decided in the Fifth Age. In case you are wondering the idea of the end of the world with the fifth age I get from my history knowledge (I do have a history minor) of Aztec myths saying the Fifth Age (the age we are living in now) will be the last time the Earth will survive as the Gods will destroy it.
Anyway this book is a big introduction the world of the Fifth Age giving the back story hence why it is fantasy and how the chosen family became the chosen family. It is a short book since it is basically the introduction but still has a compelling story with some twists in it. Granted it is written for a younger age also even though it has adult themes and allegory to current events and social life. The age range is around 13 but again can be really enjoyed by adults. In fact as the series progresses it will be strictly for adults.
Also on a side note I did write this while going through my divorce and there are many allusions to that and even chracters based on my experiences with my diviorce. Also there are characters that are based on my friends from home and friends here in Reno so you all should read it to see if I based anything on you. Here is a little synapsis of the book:
The Fifth Age Book I: The Quest of the Stone of Power introduces the mythos of the Stone of Power and the chosen family who is to possess it. A god and a goddess make a bet concerning the fate of the world. There are five chances for the human race to prove their worth in the grand plan of the universe and the Fifth Age is their last chance. Join an unlikely hero named Dyvid Tysonia as his destiny lies with finding the Stone of Power. With him are his fellow companions. An Elf named Telwind, a Dwarf named Durmer, a mage named Dyna and a new species called a Grumpas whose name is Pogwash. As they travel on their quest they face danger, adventure, betrayal, magic, evil and war. The book also reveals something of our present as it mirrors society and the political structure of today. As the story ends, the fate of the Fifth Age has just begun in this ten book series.
You can buy this book on Amazon.com. You can also go to Barnes and Noble and pick it up. If they do not have it in stock then just use the ISBN # or my name David Tyson to order it from the store. The same way at Borders bookstore. You can also call 1-800-AUTHORS to order it.
Anyway I hope you enjoy the book. I should be starting on the second book here shortly. Spread the word to others, like friends family across the country. Thanks for reading.
