WE’RE BACK!!!
Its been a LONG while but finally "The Gravity Guild" returns to Hollywood to tear the roof off The Dragonfly.

Porno Cab, Booze and Tattooz
The Gravity Guild put on a hell of a show and rocked thousands of adoring fans' eardrums over the July 18-20 weekend at the Pomona Tattoo and Body Art Festival.
It was a blast sharing the stage with four other mega-talented bands: "Among The Infected", "Point Zero", "K626" and of course the mack-daddy-bombage "Crowned By Fire"
The sound system was blazing (and the booze was flowing) which made for a killer event. They were charging 11 bucks for a beer at the friggin stand so we all packed up our coolers and embarked on a true rock n roll weekend.
After the show on Saturday we packed up the gear and hit the town, with John from CBF filming it all. It's probably a good thing he did cuz the details are a little hazy…Except do remember the cab with video screens in the back seats and the smiling cab driver who would play porn on request…as we found out…
All in all it was an amazing time...
For those who were there you know what I'm talking about.
…And if you missed it keep your eyes peeled because the festival will be back...
AND SO WILL THE GRAVITY GUILD!!!

The wonders of the iPOD...
Current mood:  rockin
It never ceases to amaze me the ever changing, ever advancing role that technology plays in or lives. I fought buying an iPOD for as long as I can remember, instead choosing to collect CD's, piling empty cases in boxes and drawers, and constantly replacing scratched and damaged CD's in my compilation. I've since wised up and now swear by the friggin thing for music at home, in my car and pretty much whenever else I need it...
Though it has now permanently replaced my CD's, I never thought the day would come when I'd need an iPOD to replace a human being...But that's exactly what The Gravity Guild did.
Let me explain...
The Gravity Guild has been through our fair share of bass players (3 to be exact) and we're pretty much fed up with auditions and the search in general. So we decided to halt our search, stop settling and instead play with a bass player who is drama free, will never miss a note and will always be on time...Who is this bass player you ask??? You guessed it...
...iPOD.
The Gravity Guild had a kick-ass show last night @ Fitzgerald's in Huntington Beach. For the first time we played as a three-piece running the bass track through an amp onstage. We owned it and rocked the house and probably had more fun than we've ever had before! I don't think I've ever seen Jay move around so much onstage. We all just couldn't help but rock the fuck out!
With all that extra room, Abel set up his drums downstage and sideways so he was right up front with Jay and I. That was different and really friggin cool. And the response from the crowd was unbelievable too.
We had a representative from Mercury Records come out and see the show and we also played with a cool band called "Star Off Machine" who had a great sound. They asked us to play with them for their CD release party in September hopefully at The Viper Room or House of Blues. So stay tuned for that show. It promises to be a doozie!
In short we're glad to be a three-piece for the time being. Don't believe that it works?

Thanks for Friday!!!
Thanks to everyone that came out Friday to 14 Below. We had an amazing time and it looked like everyone else did too. I'm sure we'll be back there again sometime not to long from now.
