Let's talk!

Its been way too long since we got our chat on regarding whuddup with the honeymoon suite. So, here's me putting my 2 pennies in and letting ya know that we're not dead and are in fact, still macking...

Its been 3 (THREE!!!) months since we were last on a stage and first off we are way SUPER excited to finally have something to shout about in the "shows" section of our page. At the minute tis all about this years Ultimate Alliance tour but will shortly be filled with details of when's and where's from thereafter. As it is, the search for a brand new guitarist seems to have taken a very promising twist, filling us all with a new found love of all things THS and thus, sharing this with the likes of YOU. So its swell to be able to think realistically about playing shows again, and with new songs coming along just swimmingly, it's gonna be so sweet to show you guys and dolls what we've been upto in the downtime.

Im gonna put something out there;

We've come to a unanimous decision that we in fact don't want a new guitarist at all, we would like two.

As of this very blog we will be looking in no uncertain terms for a SIXTH member of The Honeymoon Suite. We want someone who will be responsible for rocking out considerably armed with an acoustic guitar and a keyboard. The new songs we've been scheming are crying out for such a touch and we would like to invite people to put themselves forward if THIS IS SOMETHING THEY WOULD LIKE TO DO. In terms of what's involved, have a look in the "Are You THS??" blog for a lowdown of what is what, only replacing "blah blah lead guitarist blah blah" with "blah blah acoustic guitarist/keyboardist blah blah" and if you or anyone you know is like "yeah Im up for that", get in touch and show us your face!

There's other stuff to talk about that I would love you to know but this blog is long as shit as it is and Im sure you're all very busy. More next week then??

This is us officially back on the scene so lets stop all the messing about and make some plans.

ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 2008

Hey everyone, AWESOME news!..

The dates have been announced for this years ULTIMATE ALLIANCE TOUR with our amazing homies OUT OF SIGHT, FAST REACTION & CLARKSON!!

You can see all the dates in our shows list and ticket sales will no doubt be available shortly...

The way its shaping up these will probably be the next shows we do so we're hoping for seriously good times. Especially at our homecoming show on August 17th at the Roadhouse in Manchester where our good buddies ME VS HERO will be on the bill with us.

Right - here goes...

As you know, The Honeymoon Suite are a very good guitarist short since Adam left a month or so back. Since then, as well as writing and rehearsing new songs as a four piece and genarally trying to keep ourselves tight, we've also been trying out potential replacements from and not far beyond our own little bubble. Now, without ruling anyone out, we felt it was time to open the invitation up and see if the right person would maybe come to us instead...

We're looking for someone to slot into a massively energetic live band, contribute to song writing, much of which is done as a group, that focusses strongly on a pop-punk/rock emphasis with an occasional twist. You would need to be a relatively accomplished guitarist as many of the songs, past and present, require some lead work. We would love it if you could sing a bit too!

We need someone who's outgoing, who won't be afraid to get involved in the banter and can hold their own in a room with four other big personalities.

We need you to be commited, to both touring, writing and recording, and also understand that being in the band means having to pay for what needs paying for; the van, the insurance, the practice space etc.

We need you to be local enough to Manchester to make it work.

We have plans both immediate and long term that we're excited about and would like you to be as well.

If this is all 'soooo' you, send us a message telling us where you live, who you are, what you can do, any links to examples of you shredding it up and an email address so we can send you a guitar tab over and hopefully set up an audition for you!

Hey gibroni's!!

So, its been a couple o' weeks since we broke the news of Adam's departure from THS and (as you can probably tell!) it's brought on something of a quiet spell from us on the old myspace and of course, show front.

Rest assured, we've been busy in our practise space first off working with potential new members and meanwhile, putting a lot of time into writing new songs, making changes to old ones and generally making progress in getting prepared for a return! We're all super excited about the new songs and can't wait to let you hear them and put your 2 pennies in!

There's other news in the pipeline already with regards to whats happening with us over the summer and beyond and you'll notice big changes over the coming months along the lines of a new 'space concept, brand new merch designs and photo shoots. Likewise, we'll be keeping everyone updated with video blogs including cheeky snippets of new songs from next week onwards.

Hope you've not forgotten us, I swear we'll be back soon. We're gonna join gyms and shizz so you can be suitably impressed with our RIPPED bods when we come back! WHO WANT'S TO TOUCH ME?!!!

Some News... (NEW - PLEASE READ)

Hey everyone, how've ya been??

So I guess those of you that know and follow our band will have noticed things have been unusually quiet with THS recently. And for those who know us even better, you probably already know what's been going on and also the news Im about to share with you.

As of last month our guitarist and founding THS member Adam Morris left the band. He was given an oppurtunity to pursue another avenue which he felt he couldn't turn down and as such, could no longer commit to The Honeymoon Suite. Those of you that are close to us will understand what an absolutely massive part of the THS family Adam was and how sorely he will be missed. And everyone that ever liked or came to see our band will have seen what an amazing talent he brought to us and how difficult he will be to replace.

Myself, Joe, Scott and Jonny would like to wish our friend the very best of luck in everything he goes on to do and hope he knows he'll always be a big part of our lives, band or no band.

So, back to business...

There is absolutely no doubt in any of our minds that The Honeymoon Suite will be back soon, perhaps even sooner than you'd expect. For the past month we've been writing new material and practising with Adam's potential replacement and we're pleased to say everything is going great so far. Im sure you all can understand things like this take time and we really appreciate everyones support and enthusiasm for the band in this down time, it makes us even more determined to come back stronger than before and we can't wait to see you all at the shows over the summer...

Over the next few weeks plans made previously and since Adam's departure will be revealed on our page. Details of our full tour schedule for the coming months ( including the second annual Ultimate Alliance Tour baby!), aswell as details on brand new tracks, releases and other news will be up for you all to see as well as a new merch range and myspace in the near future. Also, lest we forget, we shall introduce you to the newest member of our band!

Everyone please come by and say hello whenever you can, you guys have been amazing to us so far and we hope you'll stick with us as we take THS into the new phase.

...To everyone who came to our show in Manchester last night! We were on much, MUCH later than we had originally thought and it meant the world to us that some people were able to stay so late at the risk of missing buses, trains etc. so yeah, cheers!

Hope everyone had a really good night (if you were there), and a big apology to anyone who wanted to see us but had to leave.

We're back in Manchester on March 14th with the awesome We Are The Ocean and Saving Aimee but before then, a trip to foggy London Town on March 5th for a show at Water Rats with the lovely Kill The Arcade boys!

Here's the idea yeah...

Recently we've been using wee digital cameras to record bits of our practises and general larking about (some of which are already on our page), and thought this should maybe be something we could share on an even higher level...

So - every week we'll be recording THS songs requested by YOU LOVELY PEOPLE and putting them up on the myspace complete with personal dedications and everything! The recordings will be done every tuesday and put up shortly after! Also, the peeps who's requests are chosen will be a THS top friend for the week following.

New News

Hey everyone, time for an update I think. We're bad shit at this myspace lark I think. From now on Im making a conscious effort to be more sociable.

Starting with... some shows! Since last we spoke we have been holed up in our rehearsal space writing new songs, playing old songs, shredding boxers, eating space raiders and cuddling, but did a cheeky show last night supporting the lovely You Me At 6 in Manchester.

OK show, we had problems with illness (bless!) and also some equipment hiccups but in all it was pretty sweet. Met some lovely peeps, sold some CD's and gave away some badges after playing our set including a brand new song for the 1stest everest time. It was good!

Next up its Blackpool where we hook up with the incredible Tellison and our fave bitches in Out Of Sight, thats Wednesday 12th. Then its back in manc to support one of our favourite bands in their farewell tour - The Mighty SPITALFIELD on the 13th. Tickets can be bought from our page, get there early cos we is OPENING.

Our CD is still 3 quid online (bargain) and our new merch is currently in production and is looking mighty sexy if I so say so myself.

More soon - Nearly Christmas innit!
