Eric’s Last Show!
Current mood: bummed
Category: Music

After nearly 10 years of rockin' your asses off, Eric (you know, the guy who's not a Johnson) is moving on.  Eric's last show* with The Longnecks will be Saturday, July 19th at the Zombie Room.

Expect a lot of tears in beers, at least one ridiculously indulgent bass solo, and the funky ass-kickin' rock & roll show you've come to expect from The Longnecks over the past decade.

*Eric's actual last show will be at the 100 Years of Motorcycles rally, but most of our fans probably don't ride hogs and/or don't want to pay $20 to see us play...so please come to the Zombie Room!

Canceled Shows & 2Funky’s Eventual Departure
Category: Music

Due to family issues, we had to cancel our 2 shows this weekend (the Rollergirls Girl Fight Fundraiser and Empyrean).  So sorry!  Check our profile for shows in the upcoming weeks.

In other news (in case you haven't heard, already):  Yes, Eric will be departing The Longnecks soon and moving to exotic, foreign lands.  No, we don't know when exactly, but it should be this summer sometime.  Any show could be Eric's last with The Longnecks!  This means you have to come to every show in order to not miss this historic event!

Show @ The Zombie Room
Current mood: satisfied
Category: Music

If you didn't go to our show at The Zombie Room with Laffin' Bones on May 26th, you missed out big time, sucka!

It started out innocently enough...the idea was for Laffin' Bones and The Longnecks to switch off each set, so both bands setup on stage at the same time.  Laffin' Bones played a great 1st set, and then The Longnecks rocked the 2nd set, and finally Laffin' Bones started the 3rd set with Pete sitting in on guitar.  A couple of songs later, Dan got up on the other drumset, and finally Eric hopped on stage and picked up his bass.

In case you're not following along, here's what we had going on stage:

  • 1 Harmonica player
  • 2 Guitar players
  • 2 goddamn Bass players!
  • 2 freakin' Drummers!

At the end of the night, there were 2 simultaneous drum solos, followed quickly by a 2 drummer/2 bassist indulgent solo/wankfest!

I told you that you missed out!  Now stop being a little bitch and don't miss anymore Longnecks shows!

Sommy's Award Update

Good news!  The Longnecks did NOT win the award for Best Underrated Artist...which means, of course, that our reign as the most underrated band in Spokane continues!

More good news!  Pete did NOT win the award for Best Guitarist!  We all know that this is bullshit, but at least it cut Pete's ego down a notch or two.  Yes Pete, you're really damn good...we get it!
