Our New Record! We posted new songs from it!

I hope you enjoy them! Billy and I met, struggled at first, but then settled in to our old bit and it moved like the old days! I was honoured to work with him again, his new songs were utter brilliance and inspired me to finish some old songs with a bright new flavour.

We're shopping it around to labels and perhaps you will find us touring the states soon, if I can manage to annul my marriage.

Smith - Hello from LA... Just off the plane, here to record!

Hey mates. Smith here. I'm at the Super 8 Motel Universal Studios in Burbank, California for the night until Billy and I meet up tomorrow to record. I was on a flight from New York with that fat bloke from 'Superbad'!
I must say I'm a bit nervous, I'ven't seen Billy since Thanksgiving 2006 when he walked out on our mates parent's dinner in a bit of a tiffy. I've heard he's well, and a bit clean cut now, facially.
He's sent me demos and I like what he's been working up out there in the Great Plains - he still lives in Oklahoma City. I've been living in Hoboken, New Jersey sharing a flat with a lesbian who works at Dunkin Donuts. She's a blast!
I'll give Billy your regards in the morning...

I´m in Madrid, Spain right now visiting a friend of mine.

Fidel Castro is also in Madrid being treated for his ailments.

Hence, the Cuban 'Mojito' is my drink of the week, or Bebida de la Semana.

Smith's drink for the weekend: 13 Oct, 2006 = Korean Soju
Current mood: devious

This weekend is rapidly approaching! This week's drink is Soju. It's a Korean rice wine that you drop in beer and it screws you up to bollocks.

To do it like the Koreans prepare 2 shots and 2 beers (Korean beer is good - try 'Hite').

1. Do a shot of Soju.
2. Drop one shot in the beer and do a bomb. Chug! you floosies! (Koreans call it SoMeg)
3. Sip your last beer and enjoy the evening.

UPDATE 2: Now we're trying our luck in Oklahoma + Drink of the week.
Current mood: quixotic

Billy had a few issues with the owner of the boat he lived on and he packed his guitars for Tulsa. I, Smith, and looking forward to trying something new and I will join Billy in Tulsa and share a flat - at least for a month or so - till I find my own room to let. Even best mates can fight when living together and we've found its better to find separate spaces. That way I can get the fuck away from Billy when he throws a shit fit, and vice-versa.

Billy says this summer was way too bloody hot in Corpus Christi, so "fuck that". He added "Plus Texans have a chip on their shoulder" (not to generalize, I'm sure YOU are a nice Texan) "and Oklahomans are friendly and shit." (not to generalize, I'm sure YOU are a prick of an Oklahoman)

SF was nice over the summer for me (Smith) but chilly, and lonely.

We're renting a flat for the fall and it came with a little puppy that lived under the porch. We fed her meat and Glasgow scotch and now she's rabid but we still love her.

DRINK OF THE WEEK:

Bud Light. It sucks ass to be frank, but it gets great around beer 8. It's made by a midwest brewer in St Louis! Oh, and drink it fast cause if it sits too long the bottom will turn to donkey piss.

'Drink of Choice' for the Weekend 3/10/06

This weekend. Get Pissed with this ---> It's what Billy and I will be drinking..

Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Scotch whisky
3/4 oz Sweet (red) Vermouth
Dash of Bitters (Angostura)
Ice

So we know, Vermouth? How are lousy blokes like us going to get Vermouth? Or even bitters? Why did you pick such a dear* drink? Replace the vermouth with shnapps and the bitters with lemonade. It's good that way too.

If you don't like it you can piss off. Billy and I are celebrating opening for Black Moses this weekend. Next week we'll post something like "Beer".
