Intersection Main Stage, Saturday July 19th!

The Mines have some exciting news! We're headlining a show at the Intersection in Grand Rapids on July 19th. That's right, if you haven't noticed, we're only booking one show during the summer months in Grand Rapids, and we're holding that show at one of the city's premier live venues, the Intersection (www.sectionlive.com).
Here are the details:
Who: The Mines, 256, The Veronica Speedwell, After Prior Day
What: Big show on the Big Stage
Where: The Intersection, (133 Grandville Ave. SW, Grand Rapids)
When: Saturday, July 19, 2008.
Doors open at 7pm; Music starts at 8pm.
This show is an 18 and older show.
Tickets are just $5 in advance ($7 at the door) and can be purchased directly from The Mines website: www.theminesonline.net. Tickets purchased through the website will be mailed to you at no additional charge. Avoid the service fees & additional day of show cost.

Live @ Festival

Friends,
It's that time of year... Festival of the Arts is this coming weekend and we're excited about getting back to work after a little hiatus. The Mines are fortunate to have received a prime performance slot: Friday June 6, 8:00pm at the Clock Tower Stage (that's on the corner of Pearl and Ottawa in downtown Grand Rapids). We would love to have you there. It kicks off our summer schedule which now includes the opening night of the Waterfront Film Festival in Saugatuck and Music on the Mall in Kalamazoo in July.
Here are the details for this week's show:

Open for Business

Dear Friends, the mines have always been horribly bad at selling stuff, and I promise we will continue to thrive in that way for many years to come. We play music and write songs and can hardly be bothered to worry about the practicalities of making money.
But, well in the interest of getting people the stuff they demand -- especially those of you who don't make it to Grand Rapids that often but still want stuff -- we've jumped into this wonderful internet thing full force -- noticeably a little late -- which by mines time, is right on time.

To The End...
Well friends,
One more Friday night at the Black Rose this week. This will be our last show there -- at least in the forseeable future. It's been fun, but it's time for us to move on to other venues. Please join us for this "farewell show" of sorts. We've invited back our friends Simien The Whale (www.simienthewhale.com) to get the night started off on the right foot.
