MY STORY

If you've got anything to say thats too important to sit in the comments section or you want to leave a message for some one who's just come across Nestor.. Say it here...

Here's my story:

On 29th of March 2007, long before myspace. I ruptured my achilles tendon playing semi-pro football. I was left housebound for approximately 3 months with a cast/pot on my leg from toe to knee. The first month was boring. I sat at home with the telly on. Couldn't even carry my cup of tea into the lounge cos I had crutches. So Id sit and watch telly till meal time then go to the kitchen, make food and eat it where i made it. It's funny looking back. Or I'd get really fustrated and throw my crutches away or out the bedroom window, but then I had to go crawl and get them back when id calmed down cos I needed them. But that was my life for about 4 weeks. Then I had to think of something else to do and I picked up my guitar and started trying to remember old songs id written. A few days later I played one to my mother for the first time (no one had ever heard me sing I was too shy) and she cried. I thought "Was it that bad?" but she actually loved it. I wasn't convinced cos I know what mothers do to their sons to get them on X-factor and stuff haha. So I know some one who DJ's on Canary Wharf in London and has good connections down there on the music scene so I knew he'd give me an honest opinion. And again he said I should "Lay some of that down!" So I arranged a date in a small studio and got 8 tracks ready to take down. I had one day to do everything

On the 8th of May I sat down and set up a Myspace artist profile to see what people thought of my music & lyrics. Since then things have been crazy. Baring in mind its just 56 days ago!

1. This week I am signing with a managent company, we've been in touch since last week and yesterday they confirmed they wanted to manage & promote me. They worked with: Nate James and Nathan who have both moved on to bigger things worldwide. The other artist currently under management is J Caesar.

2. I am currently speaking to the organisers of the official fundraising event organisers about playing "A Song for Madeleine" at Donnington. (They had it on their myspace page for ages)

3. I am playing at The Academy 3 in manchester at the back end of August. Dates are being cinfirmed shortly.

5. 7000 myspace friends (many whome I speak to regularly, you know who you are, much love.) 22,500 views.

All this has happened in amazingly short length of time and my life has completely turned around. Ive had so many nice comments and messages from people and today I thought Id leave a place where people can put down their opinions, good or bad, where these comments can be saved.

Although we're just at the beginning, this story just backs up my belief that EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON and sometimes you just have to look out for the signs in order to know when you need to change direction and above all TRUST yourself that you can do what ever you want.
