love it or hate it, the upcoming Star Trek movie is gonna flip me out. I recently saw Cloverfield again to see the trailer on the big screen and it gave me the sweats. If you are reading this, you probably saw it already, but if not.. well dig on this....
BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!!
go to NCC-1701 and adjust the cameras to these settings...
CAM 1: 564
CAM 2: 125
CAM 3: 955
CAM 4: 289
wait a while and eventually you'll get a look at the interior of a ship. Could be the Enterprise... could not.
here is more construction shots:
yeah, people are buggin' that the Enterprise was built in space and not on Earth.. but slow down. first off, remember the dedication plaque on the bridge of Kirk's ship was this:
also, where the thing is built doesn't matter. what matters is that this movie is sweet, has a good story and helps make Trek not a joke anymore. i believe (and hope) this trailer is good sign of things to come...
so a few days ago one of my favorite directors, Wes Anderson did an instore at my store. He brought along his Rushmore & Darjeeling Limited star Jason Schwartzman. I had many jobs that day, but one was to meet them at my store's back door. At around 5:25pm, they jumped out a large black truck and I let them inside. I was introduced to Wes Anderson.
Wes, this is Jason. He is a big fan of your movies.
ME: Hi, yeah.
Wes: Oh, thank you, Dave.
Me: (confused & smiling)
Wes: So, Dave, do we go upstairs or downstairs?
Me: I think we're going upstairs & actually, my name is Jason.
Wes: (confused) Why am I calling you Dave?
Me: I don't know.
oh well. he & Jason Schwartzman were both very nice, very funny and Wes Anderson is an odd but very nice guy. Many of his fans are idiots though. I got all my DVDs signed and they look sweet. Darjeeling Limited is real nice too. real nice. see it.
It has been open for about 2 years now but I realize that many of you are not able to view the world famous Jason Gibner Movie & Sci-Fi Toy Museum located in beautiful Milan, Michigan. I spoke to some of the financial people behind the museum & they have allowed me to post a photo guide of the museum.
Here are some new highlights:
The director of the museum wants to remind you to look forward to 2008 additions to the museum like:
An all new Indiana Jones wing, The "Hybrid" Alien, Young Kirk & Spock crap, a Desmond figure, a new Joker figure, and probably more little space-ships.
Also, if any of you out there know how The Museum can find the illusive 11 inch talking Terl from Battlefield Earth, contact the Museum ASAP.
