Gallery show
Current mood: excited
Category: Art and Photography
I have my first real gallery exibition! 6 shots at the Stir Fry art gallery in the Turkey Creek location (knoxville, tn)! I don't even care if they sell or not (well, not really)! I'm just excited to get them in and get a nice response from the gallery director. He even had a specific request for one that I sent a sample of, but did not bring initially. I guess we'll see how it turns out. I only need to sell a 100 or so to afford the Nikon D2X (ha!) Maybe someday.

Time for an update/change
Current mood: curious
Category: Art and Photography
My original intention with myspace was to promote my photography. Well...I never really got around to that. Time to change. I'll start posting some photos in my blog and linking to places on the web where you can see my work. I'll be participating in my first real exhibition (that is not a contest) next week when I turn in my photos for the Stir Fry gallery July show! I'm very excited to really get an idea of how my photos might sell.
Here is one of the photos I'll be submitting to the gallery

Looking over my shoulder.
Current mood: confused

Reassessment
I should have...
Been nicer to my little brother Kissed Charlene (I really regret that one!) Chosen a different major Told my Dad I loved him one more time before he died Been around more when my Dad was sick Told more people to "Kiss my ass!" instead of being the nice guy Stayed out of retail Listened to my parents Paid more attention to my artistic side Worked harder in school Kept in touch with my friends better Called my Mom Kissed my Daughter once more this morning
I should not have...
Kept seeing DeAnn when I knew it was over Sold my motorcycle Quit drawing for such a long time Slept with Melissa (huge mistake!) Taken my newly cashed paycheck to the strip club. Duh! Had Just one more drink Taken my time alone for granted Done the sensible thing Played it safe
and so many more...

Signpost
Current mood: apathetic
Category: Life
When did I become an 'adult'? How the hell did this happen, and I didn't notice? There should be some kind of signpost letting you know...'Beyond this point you are an adult. You will be judged and merited on life as compared to other adults. Your previous experience and accomplishments will hereafter be considered largely irrelevant.'
I guess it's my own fault for not paying enough attention, but I'm pretty sure it was just a few weeks ago when my biggest problem was which party to go to, or coming up with beer money for a road trip. Somehow all of this 'adult' business has snuck up on me. I say that, but it didn't so much sneak up on me as I just left the door open. Somehow I have gone from broke, directionless, drunken, college student to upstanding, responsible 'adult'.
Just like that! No screening process, no IQ check, no acceptance exam, no government agency on Adult Transition. Where is the bureaucracy and red tape when you need it? I mean who in their right mind would hire me to work for their company, or marry their daughter, or give me money to buy a home, or let me breed? I have a child! How can a thing like this happen? Well, I know how a child can happen, but what about the rest? Don't these people know how I used to be?
Oh, I guess they don't, and did I say "how I used to be"? I can still raise hell with the best of them! Well, I might need a nap first, and another cup of coffee, and a shower, and I have some calls to return, and I'll need a babysitter...
