Radio Retaliation Announcement!

Thievery Corporation are set to drop their 5th studio album, entitled Radio Retaliation on September 23rd, 2008. Along with longtime microphone co-conspirators like Sleepy Wonder, Lou Lou, and Notch, Eric and Rob are joined this time by a new cast of musical collaborators including Nigeria's afro-beat heir Femi Kuti, Brazilian star vocalist and guitarist Seu Jorge, Indian sitar virtuoso Anushka Shankar, Slovakian chanteuse and violinist Jana Andevska, and Washington DC's own godfather of go-go Chuck Brown.

With an uncompromising socio-political agenda and richly layered production touching upon the eclectic sounds of Jamaica, Latin America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East, Radio Retaliation is Thievery Corporation's broadest and most progressive album yet.

A pre-release will be available on iTunes on September 9th which will feature an exclusive non- album track available for two weeks leading up to the full release!

Outernational Tour Starts FRIDAY!!!!!

Just a reminder, tickets are still on sale for most show dates in the upcoming Outernational Music Tour! The tour is kicking off this Friday 6/20 in Berkley, CA at the Greek Theatre. Thievery Corporation and friends will then travel to the Mandalay Bay Beach in sunny Las Vegas for a truly unique show featuring Gnarls Barkley on Saturday 6/21. They will head straight back to CA for a show on Sunday 6/22 at the nearly sold-out Hollywood Bowl in LA! Don't forget that representatives from the World Food Program will be on site at each festival date to help raise awareness - a cause that Thievery Corporation has become very involved with.

Thievery Corporation will head to Austin, TX for a SOLD OUT SHOW at Stubb's BBQ on 6/24 to play with labelmates Ocote Soul Sounds, who are celebrating the release of their newest album The Alchemist Manifesto (released June 10). The band will jet off to NYC for a special show at Central Park's SummerStage on the 26th before heading back to their hometown of DC for the last show of this run on Saturday 6/28 at Merriweather Post Pavilion.

The Outernational Music Tour will feature performances by Thievery Corporation, Gnarls Barkley, TV on the Radio, Ladytron, Los Amigos Invisibles, Seu Jorge, Bebel Gilberto, Federico Aubele & Natalia Clavier, and Turntables on the Hudson. Additionally, charities such as the World Food Program and Absolut's Global Cooling will be on site. Don't miss out!

World Food Program to be included at Outernational Music Tour Shows!

Reflecting the Outernational Music Tour's global outlook, Thievery Corporation will be joined at concerts by representatives of the UN World Food Program (WFP), the world's largest humanitarian organization for which Thievery is a celebrity partner. They will be present at the shows to raise awareness among concert-goers about WFP's fight against global hunger and the catastrophic effects on the hungry poor of the global food crisis.
