Packing Tips for the 2008 Give it a Name Festival

This year's GIVE IT A NAME festival is this weekend and, if you're planning on coming, we are looking for your involvment to help in make this an unforgettable event.  Besides wearing your echelon gear (we suggest WHITE for sheffield and BLACK for LONDON), we encourage you to particpate– and ask that you encourage your fellow concert goers to particpate in some ways as well – here is a list of things that you could/should bring with you:

Echelon gear
Homemade Flags
Headgear/Masks (white bandanas for sheff - black for london)
Warpaint - the crazier the better
Glowsticks and other 'glowing' elements

And, of course, feel free to be your creative selves.

30 Seconds to Mars heads back to Europe...and more....

We're about a week from packing our bags and flying eastward to see all of our amazing European family.  We'll be in the following cities on the following dates and hope to see you all there...

May 3 – Lisbon, Portugal (Atlantico)
May 5 – Berlin, Germany (Columbiahalle)
May 6 – Hamburg, Germany (Docks)
May 7 – Munich, Germany (Zenith)
May 9 – Edinburgh, Scotland (Corn Exchange)
May 10 – Give it a Name Festival (Sheffield Arena)
May 11 – Give it a Name Festival (Earls Court, London)

Additionally, there are some rumors abound about dates that may or may not be happening in June.  We will let you know as soon as we possibly can...

We CAN say that we WILL be in Russia on the 6th of June, performing at this year's MUZ TV awards.  And despite rumors to the contrary we will not be playing in St. Petersburg. We would have loved to perform for our St. Petersburg fans but at this time it was not possible.

30 Seconds to Mars returning to Lisbon

ABL added to MTV & MTV2

Just a reminder that you can now watch 'A Beautiful Lie' on MTV. They've added the video into their rotation as of this week - click here to vote and get it onto TRL! The video was also added to MTV2's Elite 8!  Tune in and look for it on either channel.

We are all very grateful and excited by the response we've received from the video and abeautifullie.org, as are our partners at the NRDC and buzznet.  Let's keep pushing the envelope and continue to spread the message.

ABL added to MTV & MTV2

It's official.  MTV has added A Beautiful Lie into its rotation beginning Monday, March 10.  Additionally, MTV2 has moved the video into its Elite 8!

30 SECONDS TO MARS RETURNING TO GERMANY, ADDS SHOW IN EDINBURGH

On May 5, 30 Seconds to Mars will return to Berlin for their first of three German shows, playing Harmburg (May 6) and Munich (May 7) on the following evenings.  Tickets for all three shows go on sale this Friday, February 22 at 9:00am CET and can be purchased online at www.eventim.de.

Additionally, on May 9, the band will be playing Edinburgh's Com Exchange on the eve of the GIVE IT A NAME FESTIVAL.  Tickets for the Edinburgh show go onsale Monday, February 25 at 9am and can be purchased by calling the box office the 08444 999 990 and online at www.gigsinscotland.com.

Thank You For An Amazing Tour!

The last four weeks were nothing short of incredible.  New friends.  Familiar faces.  This giant traveling family.  Memories.  Music.  And more....

Thanks to our extended family and friends out there, each of the eight beautiful countries we visited felt like home. Your passion, the energy, and belief continue to inspire us across continents and oceans and we thank you so much for that.

We also want to thank everyone who made this tour so successful.  We not only benefit from the greatest family of friends and fans in the world, but a stellar crew and an amazing collection of musicians.  And if you aren't familiar with some of the bands who we were honored to have opening our shows, please pay them a visit online or at a show near you. This was truly one of the most amazing experiences we've ever had on the road.  Not even canceled ferries, delayed trains or the occasional broken foot could put a damper on the last month.

We can't wait to come back, we are so very grateful for the adventure, and we hope to see you soon!

THE FIRST MUSIC VIDEO EVER SHOT IN GREENLAND FIRST EVER GLOBAL MYSPACE VIDEO PREMIERE ON 1/30

"A Beautiful Lie," the title track and current single from 30 Seconds to Mars' platinum album, marks the first music video ever shot 200 miles north of the Arctic Circle in Greenland. It is the third in a series of short films featuring songs from the band's 2005 album. (The previous two were "The Kill" and "From Yesterday," which was the first American music video shot in the People's Republic of China); both were directed by Bartholomew Cubbins. "A Beautiful Lie" directed by Angakok Panipaq premieres January 30th in an array of countries including the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Mexico, Brazil, Spain, Sweden and Denmark through a never before seen global Myspace exclusive event. This will be followed by a multi-channel and online media blitz.
