Say it ain’t so, Make It So
Current mood: depressed
Category: Podcast
If there was any doubt that I was a nerd, it shall be dispelled in the following paragraphs...
I listen to a weekly Star Trek podcast called "Make It So." It's these two dudes from England who talk about Star Trek and it's always quite entertaining. New episodes usually hit the net Monday night...and last Monday...no episode.
So I started listening to older episodes to pass the time. Tuesday came and went, no new episode. So kept going through my archives...Wednesday came and went with still no new episode. Some of us listeners start discussing the lack of episode on the forum. (Yes, I'm on the forum too! Deal with it!) So I continue going through the old episodes...I made through about 38 of them...which is at least 30 hours of listening to these dudes talk Trek over the span of 3 days.
Finally, today brought a new episode...but with a catch...one of the two blokes is no longer on the show. Now...I've never met this man...in fact, I've never even stepped foot in his country. But I am quite saddened by his diparture...surprisingly so. It's like I've lost a buddy...how friggin' sad is that? This guy just hops on a computer once a week (not counting the other podcasts he's on that I listen to) records a show talking about Star Trek, and I've opened up a place in my heart for him? What the hell is wrong with me?! Maybe LA is more lonely than I thought.
Well farewel, Mike Dawson...I have been and always shall be your friend a guy you never knew who enjoyed listening to your podcasting.
Democrats...hunting for failure
Current mood: cynical
Category: News and Politics
You'd think after 8 years of George W. Bush screwing up everything he touched, that the Democrats would have an easy time getting elected this year. But as is their way, they are preparing to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory once again.
People are so excited wit the idea of either having a woman president or a Black president that they haven't stopped to consider that if they drag this primary out any further, we're just gonna have an old (White) president.
Clinton took 3 states last night, thanks largely to her negative blitz against Obama. Now the Obama campaign has said they're going to start going negative against Clinton. First off, so much for integrity this election cycle. (How are we supposed to believe you'll be able to reach across the isle and get along with the right when you can't get along with each other?) Secondly, you know who benefits from this democratic in-fighting, McCain? He just has his VCR on record while the negative ads go back and forth. Then, once we finally pick a candidate, he won't even have to search for negative things to say, they'll have already been handed to him.
So, congratulations, Democrats, you've done it. You've laid the groundwork for your own defeat, yet again. Way to go!
I was just looking through my friends list to spread soem Valentine's cheer and I happened upon this girl who I went to high school with.
She was a senior when I was a junior and I had a huge crush on her.
Now she's a model and she has all these super cute pictures of herself on her profile.
Imagine if I could go back in time and tell that little 16 year old boy that some day you're gonna see many many pictures of the girl you have a crush on in a bikini.
Moving Mountains (or filming in them)
Current mood: exhausted
If you hevaen't seen my latest Kingdom Comedy video yet, check it out before reading any further...
This one took me a lot longer than I thought it would. I had to go back and forth to Disneyland 3 times just to get all the filming done.
Below is a scene by scene breakdown of where all the shots of JUST the Space Mountain segment took placce:
Sunday- 1/6: Outside Space Mountain...in the rain I might add.
Tues-1/8: Exit line for Space Mountain (Just before you see your ride photos)
Wed-1/9: In my Car in the Mickey & Friends parking lot (The only shot that used production audio and didn't need to be looped)
Thur-1/10: PhotoShopped pictures...frame by frame...oy (Couldn't find a good pic of the Space Mountain vehicles so I substituted an A-Wing from Return of the Jedi)
Sun-1/6: Star Tours line
Wed-1/9: Star Wars video game at the Disneyland hotel Arcade (The staff was looking at me very suspiciously)
Sun-1/6: Space Mountain que line (It's the "jet" of that thing that hangs over the loading area)
Wed-1/9: Under the escalator at the Mickey & Friends parking structure (With someone talking on thier cell phone immediatly to wig-less guys' left)
Sun-1/6: Space Mountain line (good thing it was raining this day or it would never be this empty)
Tues-1/8: Space Mountain exit (Just after you come up the stairs)
Tues-1/8: Space mountain Exit (Back at the place before you see your pictures again...shortly after this shot I got chased away becasue the ride was down)
Wed-1/9: Star Trek: Voyager game at Disneyland Hotel Arcade (If the camera panned back even a little, you could see that I'm totally yelling at the Borg)
Whew...all that and the "preview" is less than a minute long! I dunno what the next Kingdom Comedy will be...but hopefully I can do it all in one shot lol
Right now I have 665 friends on here (If this sounds like braggin' please go check out comedians who have 2,000+ friends but just started doing comedy last Thursday...sigh).
My point is, the next person to become my friend will be friend number 666!
So stay tuned for the announcement of the Anti-Christ. You'll meet him/her here first!
And bassed on my rate of making new friends, it should happen sometime between now and October 21st...2015.
