The album is coming along nicely. Outside of one more guitar track, we now have the foundation of every song recorded. All that is left now is vocals, misc instruments and some percussion here and there. I did find that I have to buy another pricey piece of gear for my studio in order to complete this album and future records but we do what we gotta right?
Heads up that I am leaving this weekend and will be gone until 9/28/08. I am taking a much needed vacation. Larold and I are flying out to Spokane Washington with a tent and hiking gear and spending a week in the mountains.
So if I don't respond to messages, this is why...I will be running from moose and badgers whilst trying not to spill any whiskey.
The album is coming along quite well. Over half of the music is tracked and the mixing process has started on a handful of the songs already!
On another note, we got a gig booked at Karvana in Decatur, a nice little place that serves food and drinks and showcases songwriters. They have a stage and sound so this will be the first full gig with most of the members to date. That's right, this is not an open mic! We get about 45 minutes to an hour. I am talking with the rest of the band to line up schedules and see who all will be with me ( hopefully all of them ) so mark your calendars for Saturday night October 25th at 8pm for Tim Kelley.
Danny was a nice man, a talented musician. I played up at the red light many times with him. In fact I talked with him the week before this. I just got the email and see the article where he was found beaten to death in his office. AJC Article
For the past couple of years I have been going to the red light cafe to play their open mic. This man was always there to greet me, he introduced me and other musicians as they stepped onto the stage. It was at the Red Light Cafe that I played my first open mic, my first original song ever, in front of people I did not know. He made me feel welcome, confident. I did not know him outside of the venue, but I could tell he was a good person and a great musician.
Last night I walked in to the Red Light Cafe to CDs for sale and a flier that said he had passed. He opened every open mic with his music and last night, well, the walls were a much less without his voice to echo through them.
There is foundation started to take the money made off CD sales and give to kids less fortunate that have the dream of playing music. You can get CD if you like the music and would like to support this at the Red Light Cafe or send a donation to

Well I did it, I decided to go ahead and whore myself out to you, the listeners. I created a merchandise booth with stickers, shirts, coffee mugs etc. You will notice a little store thingy on my myspace page.
There is also a website that you can go to instead of going through this myspace site. My stuff
If / when you go to this site there are many other items I can put stuff and things on so if you would like a hat or a mouse pad or button, let me know and I will set it up for you. Otherwise I will leave it to what I have now.
Thanks for the support and spread the word! I have a studio and album to pay for :)
Folks, it's official. We just started tracking the first song and I have to say I am very excited. I have some really great musicians and singers on this album with me. It is nice to no longer try to do it all by myself :)
As of now there is not an estimated date for this album to be finished but I will say this, PK and I tracked both guitars, two vocal parts and a rhythm guitar track last night. So if we keep this up it will be done soon.

Well for those of you close to me know that I suffer from a rare Neurological disorder known as Cluster Headaches. Not your common migraine as there is very little info on what these are or why they exist or how to treat them. About 66 out of every 100,000 people have it. And lucky me, I started getting them when I was 21.
They come around once every year or 2 and used to last 2 weeks but now last about 2 months. I won't go into great detail but just know it is the most intense pain I have ever had to endure.
Anyway, I won't make you read a bunch of medical stuff in this blog about it, if you wan to know more about what this is, Go here
Just wanted to toss out a blog to my friends and a few others that I have not kept in touch with as an explanation as to why I have not been in contact for the past two months. I have not been online much at all. I have been pretty much dealing with not only these little demons but the fun side effects the medications brought with them. But I do doing better, I have picked up my guitar again. Rehearsals are starting again. My studio is setup and ready to start recording my first album and I am excited.
So here's to being able to walk outside again, smell perfume, drink alcohol, eat peanuts, chocolate, coffee etc etc etc
I look forward to my calloused fingers bringing you song.
