Thanks to all of you who've already registered on Channelbee.com after my blog the other day. If you haven't registered and downloaded the player already, I suggest you go and do it now because between now and launch we'll be putting out some of our stuff but only to those who've registered. The next clip should go up on Monday if Sheephead pulls his finger out.
Now, something I can do for you…over the years, plenty of you have asked how you get a job with me and the boys. Now you've got your chance. We've got together with HP to offer one big winner a paid placement with us at Channelbee in the summer. The winner will also get edit training and their own HP computer. All you have to do is come up with your own, original film idea which you'd like to see on Channelbee. Then you've got to make the film (no longer than 3 minutes as our attention spans aren't that great) and enter the competition. Simple as that. Closing date is 22 June so you've got plenty of time.
If you go to 3minutes2launch.com you'll find out more information about how to enter, and also a film I did with the boys to advertise the competition to tax dodging film students.
Well, I promised you I'd tell you all about my new project…and I can finally do that!
We are now only just over 3 million seconds until we launch Channelbee.com!It's the biggie, it's the thing I've been working on for the last 6 months. It has been a long time in the making but we know it's going to be worth it.
I could spend hours telling you all about it now but why don't you see for yourself? Our holding page went live about 15 minutes ago and if you go there you should get a fairly good idea of what it's about. It should be self-explanatory if you watch the video when it loads.Make sure you do download the player like I tell you as you'll definitely get the best from it if you do.Once you register you'll also get to see our first ever Channelbee sketch starring Sheephead himself.
We're all really excited, or at least some of us are…look:
We're halfway through designing our new office and studio
and we'll let you know when they're finished because they should be impressive.
Go on, log on to channelbee.com now, tell your friends but most importantly let me know what you think!
I went to see Kid British and The Action Manky last night at the Notting Hill Arts Club. Here are a few pictures so you can feel you were there with me:
I really don't know what to make of them as I didn't see enough. I like the SKA element, but it also seemed a bit boyband. They have a song called "Our House Is Dadless" which samples Madness' "Our House". Anyway there were shedloads of music industry down there scouting them so I thought I'd tell you about them so you have the knowledge. You can listen to them on MySpace:
The launch of my new project with the boys is getting much closer and I'm honestly almost able to tell you much more about it, but in the meantime, I thought I'd do another appeal for talented graffiti artists to help us out with something. It's a really interesting job so if you've got the skills, or know someone who has, send us an email with your details to home@channelbee.com
Recently there seems to be a spate of messages asking for me, Fenners, Sheephead, Neil and the Tramp etc to return to Soccer am. We are all very flattered that you miss us, but we are only weeks away from launching our new internet entertainment site which is looking quality. We've just moved into our new office which looks like a call centre and has to change.
I believe by next week I'll be able to give you more details.
So here’s the obligatory pic at the top of the mountain for you:
Well done to our winners of the competition, John and Gary.
They were both only a couple of seconds away so we asked the guys at Red5.co.uk nicely if we could have two helicopters and they said yes, so thanks to them. They also sent us a video of the helicopter in action so we said we’d put that up as well. We haven’t heard music like this since the 1980’s...
I opted for snowboarding and it’s the b*llocks. My bum is sore from falling down the first couple of days, but it’s worth it.
Today my instructor took me down the Olympic run and off-piste. I ate snow, but who cares when you’re having this much fun?
Skiiing also looks class, however they all hate people on boards, what’s that about? Anyway once I’ve mastered this I’m going to try skiing. I’m gutted it’s taken me this long to discover the wonderful world of winter sports, but I did have a pretty cool job for the last decade in the winter.
Anyway competition time again and your chance to win one of the new mini helicopters we were sent by the guys at Red5.co.uk.Remember the one I tried a while ago on the show…well this is the new version, it’s smaller.
The aim is the same as always.Guess the time of the first goal in the Arsenal v Liverpool match on Wednesday.Usual rules apply; you have to reply to this blog, no multiple entries will be accepted, in the event of a tie, we’ll think of a tiebreaker and my decision is final.
Good luck…and if you don’t win it, you can buy one of the helicopters and see it in action here…Red5 helicopter
We were thinking: Is the music video dying a bit as there’s so much media going on?
Anyway, we like Scroobius Pip in our office so I thought I’d show their new video for Look For The Woman as we think it’s good. Basically it’s people with TVs as heads.
