Goodnight Boys Tour

Still unable to secure steady employment, Tim Rogers will thrust himself onto a motley assortment of stages throughout May and June, in between dates recording the new You Am I album, in an effort to cleanse himself of both catholic guilt and unwanted facial hair.

The shows will be divided between "stag" "yoke" and "union", as terms like "solo acoustic" "with musical partner Melanie Robinson" and "with the full tilt boogie of the Temperance Union" are frankly, archaic and with too many letters.

Miraculously coinciding with the release of the single "Goodnight Boys" from the pants dropping LP "The Luxury Of Hysteria", the small tour will be an opportunity for our protagonist to play, well frankly, whatever the hell he wants, along with, no doubt, juicy tales from his years as the country's 4th most misrecognized songwriter/nightclub performer.

Let us join the lad before he loses his mind and soul within that rock'n'roll morass.

You Am I new LP in sights

The rock group You Am I have rashly set a date of April 14 to start recording their new LP "I'm Proud Of My Gay Son". Songs currently in construction include "Let's Be Dreadful" "Amateur Night" "Davey's Gone Green Again" "Frightfully Modern" "Worth More Dead" "Do It" "Erasmus" and "Paolozzi's Tourbook".
All decisions regarding the why's wherefore's and how much for's of the LP have been left in the hands of the group's newly assigned svengali Humphrey Blessington.
The haughty nature with which this information is being given should not detract from the fact that the group believes the record will be a fucking cracker.

Having decided that being dropped by another record label will break his delicate little artistic heart, Tim Rogers will release his stunning new LP "The Luxury Of Hysteria" on his own Ruby Q Records, distributed by Inertia, on September 29.

Already garnishing the kind of critical kudos normally reserved for artists more traditionally handsome, "Luxury" is the sound of a marginally talented miscreant stretching his limbs heavenward pleading for redemption, and a decent haircut.

Tim Rogers will drop himself after the initial wave of euphoria post-release makes it difficult for him to stand himself.

Australia’s Prolific Son Writhes in the Luxury of Hysteria.

Tim Rogers will release his new studio album, The Luxury of Hysteria, on September 29^th 2007 on Ruby Q records thru Inertia.

The Dickensian, roguish charm of Rogers' previous studio offerings has given way to a more considered approach on "The Luxury of Hysteria", however this latest release barely conceals the recurring themes of misanthropy, open mouthed wonder, disease, deep admiration, loss and desperate joy, which make Rogers the poet he is.

The first single from The Luxury of Hysteria, "When Yer Sad" is perhaps the most atypical song on the record.

The clip for "When Yer Sad", set in an underwater wonderland, is described by Rogers as "surely a work of small genius". Shot in the watery depths off Port Douglas, filming was briefly interrupted when the Rogers, taking a break on shore, was hit by a dishevelled looking elderly gentleman falling from a coconut tree. The clip is set to air in September.

To Promote the release of "The Luxury of Hysteria", Tim and his nine piece band will launch the record at the below theatres and Rogers will bring this uncut diamond of a recording to you, yes you... the people.
