My Happenings, or Weekender
Current mood: chipper
Category: Music

So...tomorrow night is the Nine Inch Nails concert. I can't wait!!!

Yeah...It is going to be awesome. This is only like, my third or forth concert so I still have a reason to be profoundly excited.

And Saturday, if he can get his truck finished we are going to....

A TOUGH TRUCK COMPETITION!!! And yes, I do feel amazingly redneck. So his truck looks mostly like this, but with dents, a smashed windshield...and some other minor issues. Haha.

As for Sunday...yeah, climbing and biking. Or maybe even biking to climbing. I don't know if I will last that long though.

I'm going for a walk...I'm also hungry. Damn.

Weekend
Current mood: content
Category: Life

Haha. So, spent the weekend watching the Hill Climb in Reading. Which was awesome, as expected. Went to Williamsgrove Speedway last night to watch Tony Stewart. Don't know if I even spelled that correctly. It rocked. I feel like I am turning redneck though. Three races in less than a week! We had a great time.

Saturday is the Micro-beer fest at Stoudts. Which will be insanely fun. Thirty dollars = food and all the beer you can drink. My kind of place.

Still weilding a hammer and drill. I must say, I look great in my nail belt.

I need an explanation for this...
Current mood: blah
Category: Life

So, why is it that when you have an insanely bad cold, stuffy nose, sore throat, headache, body chills thing going on...why does one nostil always have to be completely stuffed and the other not? And why does the stuffed one then procede to drip down your face? Onto your already sore nose, sore because you have been trying to blow that crap out of your stuffed side for the entire freaking day.

If you haven't guessed it yet, I'm a wee bit sick. It blows. But I am still climbing tomorrow! Unless I die in my sleep because a bat or something flies in my mouth that I have to keep open because I can't breathe through my nose.

Other than that. The festival was totally awesome...yeah. Insanely cool. In my pictures I have a pic of Michael Franti...he is beautiful, enough said.

One last jab at the whole "sick" thing. I love how my lips get really chapped, and they hurt, and burn, but they look awesome (colour wise) . Blah. I think I need some lovin' to get over this whole "poor me I'm sorta sick" thing.

Oh Yeah baby...give me more music!
Current mood: adventurous
Category: Music

Awesomeness of all things awesome...I'm going to the Xponential Music Festival in Camden on Saturday. Oh Yeah!!! Check out (http://xpn.org/festival08/full_lineup.php) if you want to see the amazing line up. I think we're only there all day Saturday. I can't wait!

Oh yeah, the Black Keys rock. I just downloaded their "Attack and Release" album. Well worth it. "All You Ever Wanted" and "Psychotic Girl" are great tracks. Actually, the whole CD is pretty damn good.

And I have fallen in love with Michael Franti. Everyone else already knows about him. But I have really just started listening to him. And he rocks. He will be at the festival on Saturday.

Everyone already knows that I love the Drive-By Truckers. I am just rediscovering their 2004 album, "The Dirty South". I adore it. All the songs are rad but my favorites are: "Tornadoes", "Danko/Manuel", and "Cottonseed". If you like DBT at all and don't own this, you're totally insane.

Oh, sidenote, Kimya Dawson, who had a lot of songs on the "Juno" soundtrack...well she has this album called "Hidden Vagenda". Haha...it has VAG in it. I love saying that word. The song called "You Love Me" on there is great. Totally worth it. All these CD's are, because I recommended them. And I am cool.

Otherwise everything is alright. I have been climbing a lot. I top roped a 5.11b or c the other day. And I did okay once I got the moves down. Heading out for more climbing tomorrow and Sunday, oh yeah!

    Cheers!!!

Before I forget, everyone should check out The Dead Hooker blog! She is one of my top friends and very deserving of that position. So check her out!

You

All I Want is You-

You say you want
Diamonds on a ring of gold
You say you want
Your story to remain untold

But all the promises we make
From the cradle to the grave
When all I want is you

You say youll give me
A highway with no one on it
Treasure just to look upon it
All the riches in the night

You say youll give me
Eyes in a moon of blindness
A river in a time of dryness
A harbour in the tempest
But all the promises we make
From the cradle to the grave
When all I want is you

You say you want
Your love to work out right
To last with me through the night

You say you want
Diamonds on a ring of gold
Your story to remain untold
Your love not to grow cold

All the promises we break
From the cradle to the grave
When all I want is you

You...all I want is...
You...all I want is...
You...all I want is...
You...

I'm lost and I'm broken. What more do you want from me? I am throwing myself at your feet...

It’s My Birthday
Current mood: depressed
Category: Life

I really want blueberry pancakes for breakfast.
I could use a climbing rope.
Someone to teach me how to load pictures onto my computer correctly.
A new job.
I dunno what else. It is too freaking early for this.

I'm Sorry Huston - Drive-By Truckers

I just met Huston, He was lookin' for your door.
He said he'd like to buy a horse.
I saw he had a map of the county in his hand.
He had your house circled red.
Cherokee is too damn far to come back by and ol' Huston needs a ride.

You just missed Huston, He was lookin' so confused.
I guess he really needed you.
He was old and tired and lookin' for the truth.
I guess ol' Huston's got the blues.
Cherokee is too damn far to go back dry, I promise Huston I'll try.

You ain't givin' up on lookin' for your thing,
even if you probably should.
I'm sorry Huston. I ain't got what you need
but I promise you I'd help you if I could.

Everything is messed up right now. But I can see the light. I just might become happy. WOW!
