Don’t Panic!!
Current mood: groggy
Category: Life

A little while back, we went out on a date with the Urban Nerd from Don't Panic Magazine. It was filmed and we thought we should show off our amazing acting talents!  Mr. Nerd took us to Bincho Yakitori at OXO Tower.  We had the best waitress ever.  Seriously.  We recommend the pork bellies.  Who knew they could taste so nice?

Check out the madness here:

100 Club cancellation

Unfortunately we’ve had to cancel our appearance at the GAIA event "It’s Good To Talk" due to lack of a lead singer. We’re extremely gutted to have to back out at such a late stage, especially for such a good cause. There are five other excellent bands on, so do go along:

The GAIA Initiative’s campaign to highlight the issues related to Depression and Asthma has moved-on and is now being directed at the young generation.

Following-on from events of 2007, The GAIA Initiative have organised an event on Sunday 30th March: "It’s Cool To Talk Tour", a series of gigs across the UK, at some of the countries most important live music venues in five major cities.

With sponsorship from Graduates: an Andrew Collinge salon, GAIA Records and support from Resurrection, Deadstar Events, Journeys and many others. Working with Journeys (formerly Depression Alliance Cymru. "http://www.dacymru.ik.com" "www.journeysonline.org.uk"), as part of The GAIA Initiative’s national "Sit-down, Shut-up and Listen!" campaign to highlight the issues related to Depression and Asthma.

"The aim is to create the most effective impact possible, to get the biggest splash to wake-up those apathetic gits who think that Depression is ’just in the mind’ or who think that, Asthma is ’just people being weak!’. The world famous 100 Club (in London) is the figure-head gig. It is the one, that, can knock these idiots from their cryonic torpur and help save lives."

Christopher Vranek

Director of The GAIA Initiative and CEO of Gaia Independent Arts Productions Limited

The money that is raised either goes directly back into the campaign to tell people to ’Sit -Down, Shut-Up and Listen’ to people with Asthma and Depression, or will go into two projects to help GAIA set-up a film and music recording studio: where, they will conduct workshops for people who are un-represented and suffering from Depression, or who just never get the opportunity to pursue their creative tendencies in music or film, while showing how these mediums can enhance ones life, social skills and help manage the symptoms of Depression and Asthma.

Get in to our gig at 93 Feet East FREE - Tonight!

Hola rockers!

Tits of Death Bringeth The ROCK to Buttoned Down Liveshow @ 93 Feet East in Shoreditch. It's a fiver to get in, but if you go to www.buttoneddownliveshow.com and sign up for their mailing list, you'll automatically get an invite via email to print out for free entry between 8pm and 9pm.

Sez Dollyrocker:

The first 100 people on the mailing list to arrive will also get a free Buttoned Down Liveshow sampler CD with tracks from all the bands playing in September and October! After 9.00pm it's £5 standard all night, and if you wanted to jump the queue, we have queue jump tickets for sale online from Ticketweb. 93 Feet East is fairly easy to find, just walk up Brick Lane until you see the bubbles, or just follow the map.

The first band onstage are the ace Manifesto, who mix a potent blend of industrial, trance, techno, dark, soulful melancholy vocals and strange hooky songs blending into the bass driven grooves and sonic sound wall to occupy that edgy space where pop meets 'underground'. Following on from that at 10.30pm are German duo Happy Trigger, produced by Sven Ludwig who has previously produced tracks for Chilly Gonzales and the legendary Puppet Masters. Headlining at 11.30pm are London all girl 5 piece Tits Of Death. Having already rocked the Pink Bar with a DJ set back in June at the legendary Girls Rock night, the girls are now back to play live with a kick ass 30 minute set of their electro rock anthems. Check their new single here!

Friday 14th September 2007

8pm to 1am at 93 Feet East

150 Brick Lane, Shoreditch, London E1 6QL

IRON NIPPLES INSPIRE FEELINGS OF INTENSE CONFUSION.
Current mood: amused

Oh yes they do.

We have got our very first Rubbish Review of our humble Slab of Rock.

High Voltage, a fanzine based in the Bastion of Baggy also known as Manchester, has given Iron Nipples a 2/5. However, we think the review is actually rather positive:

Tits Of Death - Iron Nipples

'Iron Nipples', the latest
[actually, it's the ONLY one so far - ToD] limited edition vinyl release from self-styled ten breasted rock machine Tits Of Death, lactates intoxicating rock 'n' roll spirit, as distilled by Mtley Cre, Hsker D, Motrhead, and a host of bands with necessary mlats.

Histrionic vocalist Marni Maelstrom spews lyrics to make the Pankhursts spin in their graves (Pain and pleasure, yeah that's right, with a bra of steel to hold 'em tight, my iron nipples are so hard) as her sisters Titania, Debra, Synthia and Kitty play their full-on six string, bass, keytar and drums hair metal racket. 'Iron Nipples' is sound of grrrl power at its loudest.

2/5

- Benjamin Short

We don't know about you, but we think being namechecked in the same breath as the Crüe, the Dü, and er, the 'Head, can only be a GOOD thing.

FREE: ToD ZINE 1

FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY!

We are offering a free full-colour digital (download) copy of ToD Zine 1 with every purchase of our 7" from this website (check our profile for the links to buy via PayPal). There's only a handful of the printed ones in existence, and those are in black & white, so this is a very special thing indeed. It's packed full of games to tax your brain, as well as hair care and fashion tips ToD-style.

When you buy the single direct from us, we'll send you the zine. Simple as that. You have to be quick though. It's only for a limited time and will disappear without warning. We're impulsive like that.

We'll make the printed version of the zine available to buy very soon, but if you want it now, in colour and for free, click your way to our profile and order your 7" single now.

Please note once again that this will be a download version, not a printed version.

More praise for Iron Nipples

Manchestermusic.co.uk sez: "This London based all girl outfit not only have a brilliant if not airplay destroying name, they also have a great mix of gothic horror and crushing rock, fuelled by Sci-Fi organ sounds."

New-Noise.net: We're not quite sure what to make of this one, but it will give Celine Dion fans a bit of an unpleasant surprise and that can only be a Good Thing.

Awesome reviews in Artrocker, Frink, IRLM and Subba-Cultcha...
Current mood: accomplished

Our humble slab of vinyl and accompanying fanzine are both getting some love by the cooler press. Please check these sites out and send them our love!

Artrocker.com: "We worship and fear you, TOD!"

FRINKmusic.com: "This is a very silly and very brilliant single."

Subba-Cultcha.com: "Sludgy post-punk with new wave attitude and a gothic air of unwholesomeness about it…"

ireallylovemusic.co.uk: "as a debut single this marks out the bands stall in fine form"

Iron Nipples goes digital....

Okay, so we get that not everyone has turntables. Still, we didn't want our love of things red hot and vinyl to come at the cost of excluding the recordplayerless so we've gone and made our single available on empeethree. You can get both tracks in their DRM-less glory from the Rough Trade Digital shop right this very minute, no matter where in the world you are.

These versions are the official, properly mastered, high quality ones (not the demos on our website). You can get them both by clicking right.... here.

NOT YOUR USUAL BOLLOCKS
Current mood: bouncy

...a phrase that we're sure you'll agree is quite fitting for your favourite ten-breasted rock machine. However, in this case, we are referring to the really quite excellent podcast hosted by Marenco Kemp. It's won kudos from a bunch of people Who Know About These Things, and who are we to argue with 9,000 monthly subscribers?

Tits of Death are featured in NYUB 47, so download it and have a listen here, or just subscribe to it in iTunes here.
