We are first in a financial bind. Despite my parents helping with the bills the morgage is still putting us in the red. We hope to do a refinance on that.
This leads to also Courtney finding a better paying job. Today as she was telling I might come to work at Wells Fargo make ends meet (to which I will have to give in to having Brenna at Day Care) people even freinds of hers there tell her that she should leave me and move back to Georgia just because I'm the lazy freak of a nature bum staying at home being a parent.
I'm tired of people telling this. Its not easy taking care of a baby, five cats, a dog and two fish tanks. Let alone keeping the house clean and full of supplies. Not to mention all the turmoil that is going on in the church especially with someone thinking I'm being part of a coup when all we are just trying to do is help it grow prosperous!
*sighs* It makes one want to dissapear from existence, so those who said I'm a lazy bum reading this...perhaps you come say that to my face so that you get your justice...
Ever tire of the chat room that has those annoying bots or complete noobs that don't know what they are talking about?
If you answer yes to these then come to a room that has been revived like the Phoenix from Arizona!
Yes thats right, a couple of people have undergone a special project to revive the old WBS chat service. This site started back in the early 90's and was practically a household name at the point of 1997. Glenshadow's Tavern, a midevil rp room even got mentioned in a Time Magazine article! Sadly, the Go Network bought them out in the fall of 1999. One attempt to revive the site failed, this time will stay.
Well you are wondering why myself and Courtney have been so quiet as of late. Well we had been in such a fiscal bind. With Courtney trying to attempt to work two jobs at once, both Wells Fargo and Hornbachers it pretty much drove her to the brink of exhaustion. To which I do not blame her for. She left the second job only to have Wells Fargo but it was really putting us against the wall.
It was looking bleak. At the point then it was that Courtney's mother was proposing us to sell our house in Casselton, and move to Georgia to live with her till she passes on. I felt this would be a lot of trouble to move, especially with doing it during the winter and also during when Brenna is in the growing process (She's almost to the point of crawling!)
Well my parents played the role of heroes. What they decided to do is to pay of the credit card debt we had and also take over the lease on the Cobalt. Dad said that we were very much screwed on the deal of the lease with the Cobalt and the home loan with Wells Fargo to which has caused us to be so much set back financially. I can now see what the major banks right now are in such a crunch if they all were doing deals like this!
So now it just comes down to me getting a stay at home job where I can work it when Courtney is home taking care of Brenna and then Refinancing the home loan in December. To which Dad will be with us on that one so that we can get some decent at least.

Well just when you think its safe to say that we were set in our household. Well Tuesday afternoon we had a bit of a power outage (never fails as me and Courtney were on World of Warcraft). It was one of those Brown outages, you know where some things will semi work or lights be semidim? Well due to this, it causes our tv to burn out, we had sound but no picture!
Well we knew this would come to pass, the tv we were using was one my brother had from the early 90's back when he was in the navy. I knew it would go out on us at some point. So then a new tv was in the mists.
So we go to Best Buy and find a nice flat screen tv made by LG (To which our universal remote though won't work on since the remote was made before LG existed). The set was very nice, it even has a usb port to play music and also a hookup for the laptop to show the laptop on the computer screen!
The set now sits prouldy on our entertainment center and as well there we got the Metal Gear Solid trilogy that I have played a bit (Man its hard!) and it just feels like these past couple weeks the newer technology gods have blessed us well!
P.S. Wish Courtney the best of Luck, she had an interview for a nice manager position at a call center for a hotel/casino.
The Technology Gods must love us!

Well this past week has been interesting for me getting new techy toys. At the start of the week Courtney told me she was getting me a little surprise for me. Well the only thing I had really been looking for was the Metal Gear Solid trilogy (after the fourth one came out I felt I should catch up on the adventures of Solid Snake.) Well she comes home and low and behold she got me an mp3 player! Now this little thing is a whopping 4gb of space! It can not only play mp3s but it can also play movie files, show pictures has a radio and a sound recorder! Its a nifty little gift!
The next one came by accident, in all snese of the word. Last Sunday at Wells Fargo Courtney accidently spills hot cocoa on her cell phone! Of course it could of had some hope of recovery if she didn't dip it into water thinking that washing the cocoa out would make it better, just make it worse. So we go to the Verison store and struck a nice deal as we found in the mail we became VIP members as we share cell phones with Sarah and Chrisoper as well as roaming internet. Courtney transfered her number to my old phone and I got a new phone! This bad boy not only has a touch screen interface, but it has a fold out keyboard for text messaging!
So yes...The Technology gods have been wonderful and I bow to you!

Well yesterday was Brenna's first shots. We were a month behind due to our job restructuring/finances but yesterday I took Brenna in to see the doctor.
Now unlike the last time Brenna was poked (Refer back to the blog about Mericare) I knew that the people at Innovis would do a better job. Although they said we were being too early to give her solids, (Like babies go on a fixed schedule!) they handled the three shots Brenna needed quickly! My dear little one though...of course she didn't like it and screamed in protest!
She was in pain for the eve, but the good thing was that she didn't run a fever or hasn't thus far and has slept the entire night.
Brenna’s eating more solids!

Well this morning me and Courtney wanted to experiment as Brenna was seeming to grow out of drinking just formula and gave her apple juice and rice pudding. She practically ate the whole bowlful! I'm so amazed how quickly this girl is advancing. She has already had a few teeth come in and laying her in her playpen she has already started to make syllables to the tv!
What nintendo has in store for us all next...
Category: Games
Well right now the E3 summit is going on in California. For those of you who don't know what that is, its basically the video game convention where Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo and all the brands come out to reveal games they are working on for future release.
Nintendo this year was a disappointment really. They make a big production of WiiMusic (To which I'm sure Courtney being the Music major might like) but they brutally tried to play the Super Mario theme and it was kinda alright.
The only major game that took my attention was the next Animal Crossing game coming out called Animal Crossing: City Folk. The game is kinda like Sim City where you get a house and start paying off the debt to a raccoon called Tom Nook by doing errands and farming fruit to get a better home and items to decorate it inside. It was also popular that it ran on real time. Meaning that if was daytime here, it was daytime there, if I were to play it now as its 5:42pm the game would start to be showing it dusk in the sky. The land would also reflect what season of the year it is and also there were celebrations for the Holidays as well. And also if you went to the Coffee store (or the train station in the original version) on Saturday night, a dog singer named K.K. Slider would sing a song for you!
This one might have a World of Warcraft feel as players can now connect online to the big city to meet with others and shop where the shops now will always be open (Tom Nook's store always closed at 10pm and didn't open again till 8am). The preview trailer is below:

Kathie Lee’s Nasty Pagans Little Comment
Current mood: pissed off
Category: Religion and Philosophy
Well I was browsing witchvox.com when I turned to a nasty surprise. Last Wednesday on the Today show they were having a speical on tips for weddings traditions and Kathy Lee was going about asking questions to people of multiple choice. She goes to this one guy with this one question:
Go to about 4:30 on the video for what happened in question
Why do you wear your wedding band on your left hand ring finger? a) More people use their right hand to write b)Egyptians believed that finger follows the vein of love c)Pagans believed it was bad luck to carry metal on your right side
Now the question wasn't bad (I am sometimes superstitious myself) but the way as Kathie Lee said that third choice that us "Pagans" are "nasty bad" was downright insulting. Because of this, myself and Courtney have sent an email to the Today show in response as seen below.
Dear Today Show,
I wish to make a complaint about a show I heard about recently. First I wish to explain who I am. My name is Thomas Punton, I am the High Priest of the Grove of the Old Ways in Casselton, ND. We are a pagan coven that has been serving the community for 4 years and are also the only legally recognized pagan church in the state of North Dakota.
I was very disappointed in Kathie Lee's comments about pagans in her segment about wedding traditions. Pagans are not nasty or bad in any sense. The pagans that I associate with are kind and helpful people who respect the Earth and its living things. I am well aware of Kathie Lee's strong Christian beliefs and she is entitled to those as well. However, on national television she should keep her personal beliefs to herself. Her deliberate nasty comment about our religion was very rude and should not have been permitted. The way she emphasized the word "pagans" and her added comments claiming that we are nasty or bad were uncalled for and unkind.
Today is the Fourth of July. The day to celebrate our nation's independence. And in that independence, all people here are granted the freedom to choose their own religion, as stated in the First Amendment of the US Constitution. Just because she does not agree with our religion does not give her the right to speak that way about it on national television. Yes, she does have freedom of speech and we acknowledge that. But if someone had spoken so negatively about Christians then there would be a huge uproar about it. We have a legal right to exist in peace and she has defiled that peace by her slanderous comments.
Christianity is supposed to be filled with people who are living and caring and wish to spread their love for God among others. And from what I have read in the Bible, God does not like people who talk badly about others. In fact, Exodus 20:16 states "thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor." Kathie Lee, a supposedly devout Christian, just broke her own commandment from her God by saying such things about other people.
All I am asking for is for her to apologize for her comments. She should learn more about people before throwing words like that around. Pagans are not nasty or bad. If she knew a little more about pagan beliefs, she would understand that. I would like to see her make a public apology to all pagans for her harsh and untrue words and learn a bit more about paganism before commenting on our beliefs again.
Its hard to say if I will get any response but we shall see. We felt something had to be said as being today is our day our day of Independence.
Oh and in case you are wondering, the answer was B.
