A Dog Mom
Current mood: tired

Before I was a Dog Mom:

I made and ate hot meals unmolested.
I had unstained, unfurred clothes.
I had quiet conversations on the phone, even if the doorbell rang.

Before I was a Dog Mom:

I slept as late as I wanted
And never worried about how late I got to bed
or if I could get into my bed.

Before I was a Dog Mom:

I cleaned my house every day.
I never tripped over toys, stuffies, chewies
Or invited the neighbor's dog over to play.

Before I was a Dog Mom:

I didn't worry if my plants, cleansers, plastic bags,
toilet paper, soap or deodorant
were poisonous or dangerous.

Before I was a Dog Mom:

I had never been peed on
Pooped on
Drooled on
Chewed on
Or pinched by puppy teeth.

Before I was a Dog Mom:

I had complete control of
My thoughts,
My body and mind.
I slept all night without sharing the covers or pillow.

Before I was a Dog Mom:

I never looked into big, soulful eyes and cried.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't
stop a hurt.
I never knew something so furry and four-legged
could affect my heart so deeply.

Before I was a Dog Mom:

I had never held a sleeping puppy just because I couldn't put it down.
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes
to make sure all was well.
I didn't know how warm it feels inside to feed a hungry puppy.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important.

Before I was a Dog Mom:

I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being
A Dog Mom.

1 - I like to make sure my bones are dead before I eat them, I do this by throwing them in the air & letting the hit ground 5-7 times  before I chew on them.

2 - I always roll my blanket into a ball before I lay down & stretch out on it.

3 - Everytime my Mommy goes to the washroom I lay at the door on my back so she has to give me belly rubs before she can come out.

4 - When I am in trouble for something (not to often) I hide my head under the edge of the bed so Mommy can't see me. (you do know how big I am right LOL)

5 - I hide my muzzle under my blanket everytime my mommy picks up my leash to go outside (I don't understand she finds it everytime)

 To DJ "R.I.P. Baby"  

     I don't even know what I'm wrighting,  but I miss you, I want you to come back, even thought I know you are still here in my heart that just doesn't cut it. I miss your mouthyness, I miss your smile, I miss you  and I can't stop crying. DJ,  I am so sorry that this happen and that there was nothing I could do to help you. You will always be loved, missed & wanted, you will never be replaced. Then again how could you be replace?? Your the Sillliest PITTY I know and one I'll LOVE 4-EVER.             

    The Boyz miss you too! They cry in the day & in the night, I wish I could make it easy for them because this is not right. They are so young going threw so much, they have learned what LOVE is at the beginning of thier lives and will hold you ALWAYS in thier hearts.

Please keep watch over them from up above because WE ALL KNOW that's where you are!
