TRACE ADKINS RETURNS TO PERSIAN GULF TO BOOST TROOP MORALE ON USO TOUR
Country music superstar Trace Adkins will soon travel to the Persian Gulf to visit America's armed forces as part of a USO/Armed Forces entertainment tour. During his week-long trip, Adkins will perform for troops, visit remote forward operating bases, sign autographs and pose for pictures. He will also share personal accounts of how he started out in the music industry, talk one-on-one with troops and extend his heartfelt gratitude to those currently serving overseas in support of operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
Capitol Records presents Capitol Pub Crawl 2! This is a FREE music event open to everyone and scheduled to take place on Demonbreun Street in Nashville, TN on September 18, 2008, at 6pm. Live performances from artists Luke Bryan and Emily West will take place at Demonbreun hotspots Tin Roof and Dan McGuinness. After that Demonbreun Street's specially erected stage will feature multi-platinum headliner Trace Adkins, with a special performance from Darius Rucker. Bring your friends and family to a FREE street party on Demonbreun Street on September 18th beginning at 6pm. See you there!

Trace will appear on Great American Country's "The Next GAC Star" airing September 3 at 9pm ET. The show aims to find the next big talent in country music by having viewers watch and cast their votes for their favorite contestant online. The six finalists recently caught up with Trace backstage at the Grand Ole Opry where he shared what it means to him to be a member of the Opry family and some of the struggles he faced to get where he is today in his career.
Trace Adkins invites you to "Get Your Game On" and compete against him each week during the college football season as he picks the winners of weekly college football match-ups. There's a chance to win over 150 prizes including The Ultimate Trace Adkins Experience! Our Grand Prize winner and three friends will win a trip to Nashville, Tenn., for New Year's Eve 2009! The trip will include tours of the Opryland Hotel, the Ryman Auditorium, the Country Music Hall of Fame, a football team's practice facility and daily activities associated with the Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl! The winner and his or her guests will then attend the Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl as guests of Capitol Records in their corporate suite!

The online pick ‘em game format is simple and quick. Each week, registrants pick the winners of the college football match-ups selected by Athlon Sports' editors and compete against Adkins who will make his own picks each week. Prior to becoming a country singer and working on oil rigs, Trace Adkins spent a year at Louisiana Tech where he was an Offensive Lineman. Adkins remains a football fanatic and is very knowledgeable about the sport. Athlon Sports asked Adkins to host this year's game.
The game begins in August and runs for 14 weeks through the last week of November. The first 10,000 people to register will each receive a free download of the song "I Got My Game On" courtesy of Capitol Records Nashville. Athlon Sports has posted the game pre-registration page at www.athlonsports.com/gameonwhere participants can register and receive their free song. In addition, game participants can enjoy virtual interaction with Adkins through video clips, images, music, and a game blog. Trace will have his own page in the game with updates about his music, tour dates, and other things he's doing in entertainment.
