JB mystery solved
Current mood: hungover

So J Buckyourself was Hanks last bassist -I thought it was Michael Horn -who's a total hawked badass. Sadly no- JB was pretty lame with a solo guitar set. But I always enjoy live music and I really enjoyed the two other bands The Dixons -who were swethearts-bought me a drink, signed my shirt and gave me a cd. The 357's rocked speed country -they were great. JB was disappoiinting-but after 10 or so vodka's I didnt care- in fact as I got up to talk to the roadie-I fell flat on face and flew 25 ft across te dance floor on my face! Depite the numerous bruises and fucked up back, I tried to keep my drink in the air, like i needed it at that point! Well theres nothing like a good exit!

bad keitel

Worked on Life On Mars yesterday- was fucking thriled to see harvey fucking keitel on the same set. Ever since taxi driver- the man's awesome -looks great too when i caught his eye I said Baaaaaaad lieutenant and he grinned.
Played a vagrant getting out of jail and a freak (its set in 73) at the bus depot.
Tired but happy to work again.

Just added 2 pix (more coming) from the LOM set -no Keitel they'll throw you off the set for pix or autographs from the stars. They are in the "background" folder in my pix. I look happy in jail! See, I am a actress cuz as soon as they called action i went into a pissed off mode but when we were waiting for them to set up,I was just having a blast w/ the other "perps" I even found chalk and graffited the jail set I wanted to write "Dee Dee has the biggest prick" but the show is set in73 so I settled for "Disco Sux"

method acting

Finally got some background work in NY -was doing well in LA -on Dexter, Californication, My Name Is Earl etc -this week I'm a wino on Life On Mars
Biker, stripper, whore, junkie- type casting I guess! Or method acting????
The AD on LOM was reading Please Kill Me so we had some great music talks -Iggy, Voidiods, Thunders-he even remembered the Sunshine sro whre all the bums passed out on the sidewalk next to CBGBs.
NY is a city of ghosts but there a few oldtimers that are still alive to remember the days of drinking in bars at 14 and no adult supervision whatsoever!

DEATH BY JUKEBOX
Current mood: amused

I am back to myself-went out friday nite and got totally stumbling drunk-actually was almost cut off at Doc Holidays (no easy feat!!) but Scurvy rescued me from falling over and taking the jukebox with me! A fitting death, don't ya think?

Then the wonderful Bastard took the freaking train all the way to Queens from LES to walk me to my door. Good friends, theres nothing like em!!!

Well, you knew as soon as I felt beter I'd find trouble right?

Cant wait till Joe Buckyourself!!

Still broke but if anyone hears any of any cool free music in NYC let me know. Rodeo bar's good but for the bands but their drinks suck, so I guess I am flask girl!

adventures to follow.

CMO out in 2010
Current mood: blessed

Hey All,
> I just signed a deal with a What Were We Thinking Films run
> by novelist/filmmaker Gorman Bechard. Mats fans will
> recognize his name from his novel The Second Greatest Story
> Ever Told (about Christ's daughter who's a huge Mats
> fan)
We're going to finish the film together. He has way
> more experience than I do (hey its my first feature and his
> 7th) so I'm sure he'll bring alot to this project-I've worked on this project for almost 5 yrs- -w no budget (except for the kind and generous Mats fans/bands of LA that gave the film a benefit so I could shoot in MPLS.
> I'm confident that the project will move forward much more quickly now in Gore's capable hands. We figure 2010 is when we will have a final cut ready to enter in to festivals.

Thanks to everyone who has helped me, their generosity & patience
> over the last few years, looking at rushes, shooting, cutting, mixing and sharing your wonderful stories and of course drinking w/ me in bars from NY, LA to MPLS-its been a fucking blast. I made some great friends too- You know who you are!!

There would be no film w/o all of you! As Paul said when I shot him the first time, I explained the film was about the Mats-well, I stammered "it was really more about his fans" and he countered "Well, they're alot more interesting then we are"

We are trying to take down the original promo and will replace it with an updated version soon. If any one wants to contribute or add anything -Last call!!! Well you have a few months at least but get it in!

Email here or myspace me at www.myspace/troubledgirlfilms if you have any questions or want to send me anything we might be able to use-we want this film to do justice to the Mats and their amazing fans.

Poems

I saw my oldest and dearest friend last night for Transiberian, while the movie didnt offer much (unlike Gonzo!) I was honored in one of his amazing poems. Scurvy is a great poet, been published in many places and really deserves a book deal. He's been writing for the 31 yrs we've been friends and -well you 'll see, here's the one he'd written for me a while back. He posted it in my comments -so if you are interested check out his page for more good reading.

We met in the bowels of a tangerine dream
Shitfaced with Auntie
Later
She returned to NYC
After the hippies ate her dog
In a blink
She was booting brown
At the breakfast table
Then she gave The Sex Pistols her rubber pussy
And the band broke up
Later
In a town called Flushing
She guided me through the piling bodies
And made even that nasty place
Be fine
Now she's living in L.A.
A director
In post-production on HER MOVIE

CMO has the exp. date of a bag of Cheeto’s!!!

Well, was hoping to get back to NYC kick ass and whiz thru the GRE in August, applications in October and start Grad school Fall 09. Not bloody likely, my heath is pretty bad.
Have some new and exciting issues to deal with and while I'm coping, To stop myself from going crazy I've been making efforts to get back and finally finish CMO.

A filmmaker/friend suggested a way around the rights problem and while I wasn't sold at first- I think it might be great to be here-take care of myself and wrap up the film this yr. I have great resources here-my thesis ad visor is an editor who teaches at SVA and I can find access to film students to help me pull selects and digitize media. Also worked in post her for 10 yrs before I moved to LA.
Just trying to make the best of a tough time- it would be great to begin Grad school with that film out and be able to move on. And I want to see that baby born-share it with all the folks who were so generous with their time etc. Then I'm never making a music doc again. Ever! I swear! Really!!! I mean it! Not ever I again!!!!!
