Recording Update

While I haven't officially committed anything to tape, I have been working on some of the covers I mentioned before AND some original stuff.

I just bought this little number (literally little, it's a 3/4 sized guitar)

Also, I rented and wastched (twice) The Devil and Daniel Johnston and I have been HEAVY into him ever since.  I was into him a bit during late high school/early college but now I have sort of rediscovered him.

Anyways, he is definitely influencing my original stuff.

Tin Ear Alley

I finally got myself a four-track and, coupled with my VERY rudimentary knoweldge of the recording process, I am going to set up shop in my basement and get down to recording some songs, covers mostly but maybe a few originals if I can ever finish lyrics to a song.  This'll be super lo-fi, partly out of desire, mostly out of finances and resources.  I'll be posting recording updates and, if things sound somewhat decent, some audio files or whatever.

It'll just be me, my Martin acoustic, my Harmony semi-hollow, my reverb heavy Ampeg Portaflex amp, a tambourine, hopefully some maraccas, and possibly some harmonica.  Oh, and me singing which will be a true test of courage.
