Yesterday I was watching the news and they have a call in center where people can complain about various things and they will post it live during broadcasting. Anyway this man called in and he had a very good point about the 4th of July and it goes like this.
He was very angry because we use the words Happy 4th of July instead of Happy Independance day. As he continued on voicing his opinion it occured to me that he was in fact right. He then said we do not walk around saying Merry 25th of December and then said have a little respect for Independance day to call it the proper name.
This really made me think and it also made me wonder how things change so much through the years that this important holiday as well as many others have had slight variations to the way we express our words for a celebration of a holiday.
So I want to wish you all a Happy Independance Day.
Well the weekend is almost here and I can not believe that its the 4th of July already. Here in Pa summer is considered almost over lmao. I think I need to move to Hawaii...ahh the sun, water, florals. Wouldnt it be nice if we were all living in a world where we didnt have to work at all and vacation time was every day, now thats heaven!
