i noticed its been about 3 months since my last post and thats far too long for an update. dont you think? im trying to recall everything that has been happening as of late. my dear friend hakan came back!!!! finally! did an amazing 2 day shoot with him and pinar in the desert. and faced a ridiculous fear that not many know about. ill show you when i get the photos and you will laugh at how insanely stupid it really is. but its ok because my roommate has the same fear. pinar and hakan are 2 of my favorite people. they are so creative and inspiring.
my best friend maddox moved this week and ive been down ever since. he didnt leave because he wanted to but because he had to. which i respect. he had his going away party at the rainbow. which i havent been to in about 2 years. its the place you go to when you first move here because you dont know where else to go yet. since that night, we all vowed never to return. but i do miss you mbot. and your, most of the time, voice of reason. lol. (just when i was writing this, he called to tell me that on g4 they had a special on star wars conventions in tokyo) im lost without you!
the next weekend we were back on the strip (avoiding the rainbow at all costs) and i photographed my friends in living dead lights at the house of blues. we had so much fun, and i got some great photos of the show and everyone after. i also just got a new camera which im so excited about. AND i got my little canon powershot fixed. even though they tried talking me into a new one. nothing can ever replace my powershot. im sure you know what i mean. its like 3 years old but im a total geek about it.
joined the stunning, sweet, and extremely talented, mother of london at the coilhouse launch party. not since tokyo had i seen so many people that looked like beautiful pieces of artwork. then there was us who had just come from a ufc party haha. of course! right?
i finally got to see control this weekend which crushed me like a ton of bricks. ive always liked joy division and knew part of their story but once you really see it, your heart will ache.
i had to watch harry potter and the order of the phoenix to counteract the emotions lol. yeah. im a nerd. it fits in nicely with all my horror and exploitation films lol. shhhh.

today it actually rained in la. so i decided to stay in tonight and see if i remember how to relax. it has been a while. i was so upset after returning from tokyo. i didnt want to leave that city. the days went by so fast, it all seemed like an incredible dream i didnt want to wake up from. besides the first hour of panic on the plane home, i slept the entire way. i opened my eyes once to see my veggie meal sitting in front of me and when i opened them a bit later, it was gone. lol. im not sure who ate it? i have to say how much i love my best friend who somehow managed to keep me calm on the flights. im not really sure how she did it after the flight attendant told us to prepare for something bad to happen. the tears came and the look of fear set in. she took care of it immediately and made sure nothing else was said haha. thank you♥
a few days later, i was back to my normal self as we were on the way to the taste of chaos show in long beach. D'espairs Ray is one of my favorite bands and it was SO good to see them again. Mucc put on an incredible show as well. it was the most fun i had since romping around nippon.
jennifer took me to the NME awards which was also quite fun. janes addiction are really quite amazing live.
my friend took me to see the most a mazing movie called, the machine girl. well, if you liked ichi the killer, you will probably like this. its not nearly as good as ichi. but same kinda campy, blood, and guts.

the video for the beautiful Natalia Lesz, i was in is out. shes really incredible and such a sweet heart. i had so much fun running around the abandoned linda vista hospital with chad, mildred, adrienne and naija.
also did a 10 questions with my friend Eric at Strange Digs. So much fun.
last weekend we went to see little Vivi perform at the avalon. i cant say this enough. if you have the chance to see him, wherever you are. GO GO GO!!!! he is absolutely incredible and one of my most favorite people on the planet. i promise you have seen nothing like his shows before.
so my little camera that is at my side at all times died about a week ago. i think a part of me died too. lol. i sent it to canon and they tried talking me into getting the newer model. no way josie. so instead they are repairing it for me. i missed some good photo opps over the past few days. my bffs doing karaoke, kyo getting himself wedged between the couch and coffee table? i still dont understand how that went down. burbank yesterday. so lame. i need my camera. speaking of... i was thinking about posting some of my 'i think im a photographer' photos pretty soon. i have thousands. seriously.
anyways.. im starting to ramble and that will soon turn into a rant of some sort, so i think im going to go get some dinner and spend some time with the boys. kyo has managed to push off every pillow and blanket on my bed. its really his house.

I wanted to thank you ALL for the most amazing messages, comments, texts, phone calls, and emails, on my birthday. It was honestly the best birthday I have ever had. I usually hate that day.. but we have been celebrating this entireweek ... MONTH. lol. A very special thank you to my dear friends who have gone beyond to give me the most beautiful day, and birthday party ever. I really do love you and im so lucky to have you in my life.
