My wife often says; "You need to finish your projects." And she is correct! All to often I find myself in the middle of some project when some other project arises and takes valuable time away from the current project I was working on.
I have a very active mind and because of this I have to constantly be doing something or I become easily bored. Sometimes my mind goes into overdrive and I short circuit, at those times I find it hard to concentrate on the tasks at hand. I find myself being pulled in a dozen different directions all at one time and that is what has now happened.
Currently I am working on getting my new auction site at www.ablazable.com up and going. I am also updating all of my websites: www.ubtat2d.com - www.sekpress.net - www.freaky-links.com and www.emerald-city.us . I am also writing two different books (my autobiography and a political essay), that I am also illustrating and need to get completed. I have an unfinished painting in my gallery and notebooks full of drawings waiting to be transformed into tattoo flash. I run a full time body art studio and I am now in my summer show season. Throw on top of all this the fact that there are upgrades to my home that need to be completed before next fall and you start to see my dilema.
So by now I am sure that you are asking yourself, "What type of help does The GYPSY need from me?" The answer my friend is quite simple; I need your understanding, nothing more and nothing less.
For the next few months I will be very scarce her on MySpace. Unfortunately MySpace takes up a lot of my time that I could be devoting to getting my current projects caught up and completed. I may check my messages daily and leave a status update but beyond that very little else for a while. I need you, my friends, to understand that it is not that I don't want to communicate with you it is because I need to free up time to do what I need to do.
So if I don't leave comments, post blogs every other day or message you then you will know that it is not because I don't care it is because I need some me time. I appreciate and cherish each and everyone of the people that care enough to remain on my friends list during this time. Thank you for your understanding. YOU MIGHT WANT TO REPOST THIS AS AN FYI FOR EVERYONE ON YOUR FRIENDS LIST!
I have a friend who works for the IRS in Topeka, Kansas, and she contacted me today with the "Low Down" on how this Tax Rebate actually works. All of us (including me) were reading the published Information incorrectly. This is not a rebate giving back money from tax year 2007, it is an early rebate based off of this years taxes (2008). Basicly, if you are a married couple who would normally have gotten $1200 back when you file your 2008 taxes, now, you will not get anything. What we will be getting in the coming months (the so called rebate or Economic Stimulas Package), is actually an advance on the taxes we all file in 2009 for 2008. What is really messed up, is the fact that once again, the lazy people who don't want to work 40 hours a week like the rest of us, are being rewarded. As long as they earned $3000 in 2007, they get their rebate and of course if they do not file a tax return next year (and many of them won't because they will earn below the amount required to file), they will not be penalized. The rest of us hard working honest folks will have our tax returns reduced next year by whatever we get this year.
Here is the info she provided me from the IRS website (pay close attention to the wording and the areas in bold):
On Wednesday, President Bush is expected to sign The Economic Stimulus Bill that provides tax rebates to most low- and middle-income Americans. Here are details of the plan, along with answers to questions about it from readers of the plan; Under HR5140, the Economic Stimulus Act of 2008, most working people will get $600 if they are single Or $1,200 if they file a joint return, assuming they paid at least that much in federal income tax in 2007. To help people who earn little or nothing - and might be more likely to spend their rebates - Congress said that anyone who had at least $3,000 in income from a job, self-employment, Social Security and/or certain veterans benefits would get a flat rebate of $300 if single or $600 if married filing jointly, even if they don't owe income tax. If your 2007 federal tax liability is between $300 and $600 (single) or $600 and $1,200 (married), your rebate will be equal to whatever you paid in tax. Anyone who gets a rebate of any size will get an additional $300 for each child eligible for the child tax credit in 2008. To qualify, the child must be younger than 17 on Dec. 31, 2008. Higher-income people won't get anything. The rebates - including the $300 rebate for kids - start to shrink when your adjusted gross income hits $75,000 (single)or $150,000 (married). Adjusted Gross income includes income from all sources, but before most deductions and exemptions have been subtracted. The rebate is reduced by $50 for every $1,000 you earn above the income limit. It disappears at some point which varies depending on your family size. Singles with more than $87,000 in gross income and couples with more than $174,000 get no rebate if they have no children. Those with children can earn a bit more before losing their rebate because it's bigger to start out with. A married couple with two kids, for example, get no rebate when their income exceeds $186,000, says Mark Luscombe, principal tax analyst with CCH. Rebates will not be sent to nonresident aliens (you must have a Social Security number to get a rebate), estates, trusts or people who are or could be claimed as a dependent on someone else's tax return. That means most high school and many college students won't get a rebate even if they earn more than $3,000 or pay taxes. The Internal Revenue Service will start issueing rebates - via check or possibly direct deposit - in early May. The rebates represent a 2008 tax cut.
But instead of getting the tax cut next year, when you file your 2008 return, you'll get it this year.
The IRS, however, will use your 2007 tax return to determine who gets a rebate and how much. If it turns out that you would have gotten a bigger tax rebate based on your 2008 tax return, the IRS will refund you the difference. For example, a middle-income family that has a baby born in 2008 should be able to reap an extra $300 when they file their tax return next year, Luscombe says. On the other hand, if you would have gotten a smaller rebate based on your 2008 return, you won't have to pay back the difference, says Bob Scharin, RIA Senior Tax Analyst from Thomson Tax & Accounting. Most rebates will be out by the summer, but if you don't file your 2007 taxes until the extended Oct. 15 deadline, you won't get yours until year end, CCH reports.
Unlike the 2001 rebates, which went only to people who paid tax, the 2008 rebates will go to many people who don't file tax returns.
The IRS says it will work with the Social Security Administration and Department of Veterans Affairs to make sure all eligible individuals know how to get a rebate.
Tax advisers are encouraging people who had more than $3,000 in income from a job or self-employment in 2007 to file a tax return even if they don't owe tax so the IRS knows how to find them.
The IRS has been warning taxpayers not to fall for telephone or e-mail scams that use the rebate as bait. The perpetrators try to trick people into revealing personal information they use to steal their identities. The IRS never sends unsolicited e-mails. Also be wary of banks and loan companies that offer refund anticipation loans that include the anticipated rebates when a 2007 return is filed. While apparently legal, these loans can be extremely costly.
And now for reader questions:
Q: Valerie H. asks, "If a person is paying back taxes with a payment plan, will they get the rebate?"
A: No, it will go toward repaying their tax debt. It could also be withheld for other debts such as past-due child support or delinquent student loans.
Q: Sara M. writes, "Are head of household taxpayers considered single in the planned tax rebate program?"
A: Yes. People who file as head of household or married filing separately will be treated like single people.
Q: I am a senior citizen and have no earned income but I pay approximately $8,000 in taxes on Social Security, pension benefits and investment income. Will I receive a refund?"
A: Yes, you should receive $600 if you are single or $1,200 if you are married filing jointly because you pay more than that in tax.
Q: Lynn H. asks, "Will the rebate be taxable income that we need to claim as income for 2008 on our tax returns? Will the checks be in the actual amounts quoted, or will there be taxes deducted?"
A: The rebates are not taxable. You will not have to report them as income for 2008. No taxes will be deducted from the rebates. Rebates also will not be added to income to determine whether people are eligible for federal or federally subsidized programs such as food stamps or welfare.
Q: Edward S. asks, "I just filed my 2007 federal tax return because I'm expecting a refund. Will the stimulus rebate impact my pending 2007 refund or my 2008 tax return?"
A: It will not impact your 2007 refund. Your 2008 refund might be smaller than what you calculate on your return because you have already received the refund in advance, Luscombe says. But it still represents more money in your pocket.

It sounds to me like good old George W. Bush figured out one more way to put the shaft to the American people before he gets out of office. I don't know about you but as for me, my so called "REBATE", which is actually a CASH ADVANCE and not a rebate at all, will be going in the bank to help pay my 2008 taxes to the thieves at the IRS next year!

Not only will these things be good for the environment it will be good for us and lead us into a healthier lifestyle.

I like those people. Those people are what we strive to be. I don't want to be those people just as those people don't want to be me. Those people are hard working and honest. I like those people.
I keep trying to figure out why other people have to make things so difficult. Other people could make life so much simpler for other people by not making life so difficult. They say, the other people; "We have a piece of paper. The piece of paper says this. We must do as the piece of paper says because the piece of paper says so." The other people are slaves to the piece of paper and they make other people slaves to the paper as well.
Those people are slaves to paper also but they choose to be the papers slave and in that choosing those people have found their freedom. Those people do as the piece of paper instructs but those people are not controlled by the paper. Those people are guided by the paper.
Other people keep pieces of paper that they hoard. Other people shove that paper into their pockets and into secret places locked and protected from other people. Other people will die for those pieces of paper that other people hide.
Those people keep pieces of paper that they protect. Those people only protect as much paper as they need. Those people do not hoard the paper. Those people use the paper as a tool not a treasure.
Other people do not value the paper as a vessel that holds truth. Other people think the paper was put here for their exploitation. Other people twist the words laid out upon the paper to manipulate other people. Other people make the paper evil and take away the sanctity that the paper holds for other people.
Those people are thankful for the paper and understand that it is a gift for those people who can appreciate the beauty of the words it holds.
I do not like other people. Other people are what we despise in ourselves. I don't want to be other people just as other people don't want to be me. Other people are lazy and cheats. I do not like other people.

Over the past few days I have asked you, my friends to lend support to Pamela Smith, an Alabama mother of an American Soldier who died under mysterious circumstances in Iraq. Pamela Smith wants an investigation opened into her sons death (he was buried overseas without an autopsy), and she wants his body brought home for proper buriel. When I first asked you for your support in this the petition only had 725 signatures on it. Now 3 days later it has 882 signatures, it is still 118 signatures short of the 1000 that is needed. You may be saying to yourself; So, there’s no problem, thats pretty good. And my response to that is NO IT ISN’T! Only a dozen or so of my FRIENDS from MySpace have even bothered to take a moment out of their busy schedule of posting survey’s and glitter comments to go to
With 317 people on my MySpace Friends List that should have been 317 signatures on that petition the first day I asked. That would have put the signatures needed over the top. Even if the only people from MySpace that responded were those who read my blog that still would have been 185 signatures on the petition at
