Witches Familiar Photos.

I'm trying to get better at my photography,photographing humans is still intimidating to be a bit so I'm mailing sticking to my dolls and my poor cats as models.I'm sure my cat's hate being the companions to a surrealist.LOL
I did some shots of my cat Lamb *who looks demonic anyway*.He looks menacing enough and is also well behaved enough to work with as a model.
I snagged one of Mr Grumpy too in the few brief seconds he kept still.The images behind the "kids" are from the book The History Of Witchcraft.
The photos are dark *lighting wise*but they are supposed to be that way.

One Man Lift And Carry Painting.

I don't get much time to paint and when I do it frustrates me because I'm not a natural at it like with dolls.But I'm pretty pleased with the way this one came out.The inspiration for it was a illustration in my grandfather who passed away's antique navy instruction book.
It's acrylic,blood,pastels and aging ink on paper.
I might be selling prints of it later.

Papal Authority Doll

"Papal Authority" Doll I just finished,I did all the gold embroidery by hand.Let me just say metallic embroidery thread is AWFUL to work with,and I hate my lack of embroidery skills but I'm ok with the way it turned out.I'll be posting full shots of the doll soon when I have them edited.
The doll itself isn't for sale he's apart of my private collection but you can buy prints of the photos I took of him here on my Ugly Art Dolls Etsy shop

Golden Thread Siamese Twin Doll Assemblage

This is a original assemblage by Ugly Art Dolls/Ugly Shyla aka Me.All images and designs are (c) 2008 Ugly Art Dolls/Ugly Shyla.
The centerpiece of the assemblage is two Siamese twins,with a embroidered white christening gown made from vintage cotton.The embroidery on the bottom is a faint blue/gray and their little bonnets are trimmed in cream and baby blue vintage lace.They are holding a paper that has a short poem on it.
They are mounted on a vintage red wooden frame with a cloth background,so it looked like they are coming out of the frame Alice Through The Looking Glass style.
The whole piece is 18 X 11 1/2 inches,and is made to hang on a wall.

New Art From Me and My Mother.

I'm still trying to light a fire under my mom's butt for her to do art too.She likes doing assemblage types of things and I always have so much extra this and that laying around that she's working on a few things,and I'm of course ALWAYS working on things.Because as Jimmy Swaggart says Jesus detest laziness!LOL
But anyhoo I listed some things on Etsy we both just finished I made the gold trinket box thing,It features a print of one of my original drawings.
And my Mom did the little Haunted House thing.
