Fall 2008 Issue Up!

Issue 3 was released on October 8th, 2008. Up the Staircase proves once again that they publish only the best with this recent issue. This fall edition of Up the Staircase features many extraordinary and gifted writers. We are so pleased and proud of this new issue!

Photography contest!

Up the Staircase is pleased to announce our new contest!

We want to see a photo of a poem or a quote, either famous, or your own work,
written, painted, inscripted or drawn on a unique surface.
This poem or quote can be displayed in its entirety, or you can use a couple chosen lines.
Whatever works best for you or suits your artistic purpose.

This photo must be original! No snagging other people's work.
Present the words you have chosen on a napkin, a wall, the sand, a tree, your friend, etc.

Be unique, have fun with it.
The winner will be someone who expresses a true artistic vision.

Mail up to three photos to upthestaircase@gmail.com with the subject listed as "CONTEST SUBMISSION."

Winner will receive a cash prize of $50 bucks,
along with their own page on Up the Staircase showcasing their work for the fall season.

Deadline: September 25, 2008.

Yep. Our summer issue has been a success! We, the editors, are very proud of our baby, Up the Staircase. She's growing up so fast! *sniffle*

We are gearing up for our Fall Issue which will be released in October. Send us your poetry, short story, flash fiction, prose, or essay submissions!
