The meaning of Namaste
Category: Blogging

The gesture Namaste represents the belief that there is a Divine spark within each of us that is located in the heart chakra. The gesture is an acknowledgment of the soul in one by the soul in another. "Nama" means bow, "as" means I, and "te" means you. Therefore, Namaste literally means "bow me you" or "I bow to you.
"

To perform Namaste, we place the hands together at the heart charka, close the eyes, and bow the head. It can also be done by placing the hands together in front of the third eye, bowing the head, and then bringing the hands down to the heart. This is an especially deep form of respect. Although in the West the word "Namaste" is usually spoken in conjunction with the gesture, in India, it is understood that the gesture itself signifies Namaste, and therefore, it is unnecessary to say the word while bowing.

We bring the hands together at the heart chakra to increase the flow of Divine love. Bowing the head and closing the eyes helps the mind surrender to the Divine in the heart. One can do Namaste to oneself as a meditation technique to go deeper inside the heart chakra; when done with someone else, it is also a beautiful, albeit quick, meditation.

Self Healing Meditation

Meditation of the Week:

Self-Healing

Sit straight in a cross-legged position. Raise the right arm parallel to the ground and bend the elbow so that the hand is in front of your heart, palm facing down. Grasp the back of your neck firmly with the left hand. Eyes are closed. Chant from the navel Raa Maa Daa Saa Saa by Guru Nam Singh (slow version).

Heal yourself. Continue for 11 minutes.

To end, inhale deeply, hold the breath and pull your neck forward with your hand, but without bending the neck—fight it, resist it. Balance with the other hand. Make your whole body totally like steel. Powerfully distribute the energy in every organ, in every fiber of your being. Let every molecule get the energy. Exhale. Repeat 2 more times. Relax.

The grip on the neck should be perfect and the right arm parallel to the floor in absolute balance .

Make peace, release resistance.
Current mood: aroused
Category: Life

When you're happy in the stream whereEVER you are, you've made peace with where you are. And in making peace with where you are, you've released resistance. And in the releasing of resistance, you're flowing rapidly toward what you are wanting.

And it will feel to you --if you can maintain this feeling even for a day or two-- it will feel to you like all of the things that you've been wanting have been lined up outside your door.

And the door just opened.

And now they're flowing in.

kundalini yoga set for the brain and parathyroid
Current mood: ecstatic
Category: Life

Exercise Set for The Brain and Parathyroid

..

1) Sit in Easy Pose. Interlock the hands behind the neck. Keep the neck straight and begin twisting powerfully from left to right. Chant powerfully aloud: Hari Har, Hari Har, Hari Har, Hari with the tip of the tongue hitting the upper palate behind the teeth. One repetition every 2-3 seconds. Rhythmically coordinate the movement with the mantra for 4 minutes.
This exercise stimulates the thyroid and parathyroid
glands.

..
2) Come into Celibate Pose, sitting between the heels with the buttocks touching the ground. Keep the spine straight. Interlace the fingers in Venus Lock behind the neck (A). Listen to the tape of Jaap Sahib and begin to bow to the Namastang rhythm, touching only your chin to the ground (B). If the tape is not available, perform the exercise in the following 10-count rhythm: down on 1, up on 2, down on 3, up on 4, down on 5, up on 6, down on 7, up on 8, remain up for 9 & 10. Continue for 15 minutes.
The posture in this exercise, also known as Bhujar Bhujang Asan , relieves problems of the reproductive area and the pituitary gland. When the chin touches the ground the parathyroid gland is stimulated. This exercise is a yogic practice guaranteed to change the total sum of oneself.

..
3) Sit in Easy Pose. Place the palms on the floor on each side. Keep the elbows straight (A). Listen to the tape Wahe Guru, Wahe Jeeo . Begin to rhythmically rotate the whole body, moving deep from the navel. Move with the music and when the singing begins, copy the exact sound. Continue for 15 minutes. If the tape is not available, move in the posture and breathe long and gently for 7-11 minutes. This exercise works on the parathyroid gland and develops the power to listen.
