Living Syndication Kicks Serious Ass!!
Current mood: electric
Category: Music
Hey guys and girls, Long time since I posted, you probably think I died or something, nope, still around:) Busy busy busy. But not too busy to tell you about this great band, Living Syndication. Living Syndication Myspace This is truly one of my favorite bands straight out of Boston. These days I'm seeing a lot of great music coming from there, and I don't think I am exaggerating by saying recently Boston is home to some of the best bands around. Living Syndication is Alternative hard rock, with Eastern Indian instrumentation with some acoustic aspects. Not too long they released a full length album, Aneurythm, 80 minutes long, 18 tracks strong:) They will be featured in the new issue of Rock Scarz so check them out!!! Avenged Sevenfold -- Avenged Sevenfold
Current mood: awake
Category: Music
I promised there was more coming up, here it is, the review of the latest Avenged Sevenfold album:
The self-titled album from avenged Sevenfold brings in a mixture of surprises and musical experimentation. I am just simply stunned by this album, never being an Avenged Sevenfold fan, this album has changed everything for me. Avenged Sevenfold has decided to self produce everything, maybe this is why this album is so dynamic in nature, full of character (and I mean full of character) and free of the over processed, over perfected and overly generic bullshit which comes with "overly" sleek production engineers. The majority of the songs have great catchy riffs and melodies, stand out vocals, Iron Maiden-ish guitar solos, spectacular drumming, and a hard driving bass. Really, could you ask for more?...Click here for more

MEGADETH--Tour of Duty--ROCKS!!!!
Current mood: cheerful
Category: Music
Hey Guys,
Happy November! I hope you all had a good start to the new month. Mercury Retrograde is over so that is always great news for everyone. So, if you like Metal and dig Megadeth, you must check out my latest revew of their tour. MEGADETH REVIEW
Much love to ya all, Vena ---------------------------------- If you did not get a chance to see Megadeth's Tour of Duty, then you're missing out big time. Megadeth put on an intense, high-energy show which simply fucking rocked. Several reasons contribute to this. First, Megadeth played songs they have not played since the early 90's, such as Take No Prisoners and Ashes In Your Mouth. Second, they did not play too many songs off their new album which is a good thing since it just simply is not as good as the old stuff. A really great point is that they did not play a single song of their Album, Risk, (whew) which was their "pop" album and worst album to date. Go Here to Read More....

As I lay Dying--An Ocean Between Us
Current mood: cheerful
Category: Music
Hi there, I hope you all are having a good weekend, here is one more review from As I Lay Dying. I've been really fortunate lately to be exposed to some really great music, so more on the way soon!
Much love, Vena ------------------------------------------------ The new album An Ocean Between Us from As I lay Dying is pretty awesome. It is not as good as the last album but it has many strengths. Among these strengths is that the album has a very radio friendly quality, which is happy hardcore with many power chords being played ....

CriadCrias - The Chair -- Ambient/Classical Soundtrack
Current mood: calm
Category: Music
The album The Chair comes from the band CriadCrias, a talented artist from Argentina. The Chair is a short 12-minute soundtrack of an ambient/visual and classical nature created for the movie Insomnio. It is a brilliant work or art, beautifully composed moving from light and delicate ambient sounds to dark and haunting beats...

Fantastic Pirate music from The Bourbon Knights!
Current mood: cheerful
The Album, a BLACK SPOT, thirteen coils & fifteen men, by The Bourbon Knights are one of my all time favorite albums. This band based out of southern Illinois defies being categorized quite honestly, but it consists of a combination of Punk, folk rock, acoustic, goth, and very very pirate; boiling down to being quite an alternative album of sorts. The Bourbon Knights consist of 12-13 members....

Skinny Puppy Mythrus Tour Review
Current mood: awake
Category: Music
Skinny Puppy has gone minimalist in the Mythrus tour. This tour is radically different from the last, being a slimmed down three piece with just vocals, synth, and drums, no guitar or bass. Did they pull it off? They sure did. They played four songs off their new 2007 mythmaker release, Ugli, Haze, Pedafly, and Politikil.
